Appearance:
Guy is pretty short, standing at around 5'2". He seems even shorter due to an almost constant ducking of the head, but an unruly spike of hair at the back of his head sometimes breaks the illusion. This shock of hair is colored like the rest of the hair covering his head, a deep black that seems to be the color of night. The hair on Guy's head is cut fairly short, but isn't in any haircut that would be considered military. It covers the top and part of the sides of his head, and a few strands of hair jut out to cover part of his forehead.Personality:
His eyes are an electric blue, and seem to send a shock through whoever looks at them. Guy's brilliance shines through them, but he hardly ever makes eye contact.
He is very light, and would seem younger than he is, if not for the mature look of his features. He has a few scars to prove it, especially the major ones on his legs. A collection of scars like that comes from a life of constant missteps. The one that stands out most is a scar bisecting his chest, caused by a tree limb. It slashed his chest as he fell from a tree, and left a rough scar in the process.
His arms are strong from climbing, but his legs aren't as strong. His legs suffered the majority of the damage from various falls, and even though they are mainly fixed, he still walks with a slight limp due to a incorrectly mended ankle. There is a major scar on the back of his head from the fall.
Guy is overly cautious, in stark contrast to the adventurous days of his youth. He realized that if he wanted to remain healthy enough to eventually support a family, he would need to be able-bodied. He has an odd sense of humor, one that is morbid and slightly unnerving to those that don't know him. He can seem creepy, and often makes comments that he finds humorous at out of place times. He has some friends, but they are ones from when he was younger. They seem to be slowly drifting away from him, and he finds it difficult to make new friends.History:
He often finds himself meticulously planning out his actions beforehand, then putting them into effect. His mental processes have been slightly slowed by various concussions, and sometimes his plans don't go as well as he would like. Guy is easily offended by other people, but tries to be friends. His problem is that he will often offend people with an out of place comment.
He has a fairly negative outlook on life, but tries to be happy. This leads to some internal conflicts, as he wants to be happy, but often isn't. He gets jealous easily, and is subject to minor tantrums when overcome with emotion. He doesn't like seeing his younger brother happy, and often torments him. He isn't a good older brother, and he knows this fact.
Guy grew up as an adventurous boy, the son of two average workers. They treated the boy right, and he was there only child. He was as spoiled as you can be in the poorer parts of District 11. His parents would sometimes alternate turns going hungry when times were rough, just so Guy would always have enough to eat. Guy never realized this, dense with the naivety of childhood, and only figured out when he was told at age fourteen.Codeword: odair
Guy loved to climb as a child, scaling everything he could get a handhold on. This led to some dangerous situations, as he wasn't the most surefooted of children, and often fell from high places. The resulting injuries and scars made costs difficult, and his parents tried to stop him from climbing. Their attempts were hindered by the peacekeepers forcing him to climb into the highest branches of the trees to pick fruit. He would constantly fall from trees, breaking his bones, which were fairly brittle.
When he was thirteen, he was climbing one of the higher trees in the orchard. He had almost reached the top, when a branch he was standing on broke. He fell out of the tree, hitting his head on a branch near the top, and breaking a leg when he hit the ground. It was a serious injury, and he had a different outlook on life afterwards. He was shell-shocked from his injury several months after recovery, and the wound to his leg never fully healed. It resulted in a limp, that while severely noticeable in the early years, has slowly faded away. It still is fairly noticeable, and the scar from the head injury is highly visible.
His parents had another child soon after Guy's fall, a little boy. He lives similar to how Guy used to live, carefree and reckless, even though he is only five. He is constantly hiding and climbing, but Guy never chases. After the child was born, Guy felt left out, as he felt his parents loved that child more than him.
