[/blockquote]come head on, full circle
our arms fill with miracles
play hearts, kid, they work well
like classics play aces
stay with me, go placesI don't usually go in the woods.come one now, come all ye
I guess it was because my brother was visiting today. I couldn't stand to see him holding his girlfriend's hand while knowing he uses that hand to hit her. And I couldn't stand to see the look that his girlfriend gives me, not that she wants me, but she wants my help. And I couldn't stand my parents talk to them, and act like they're a perfect couple. That's what I used to think. And since I couldn't stand anything else that has to do with my brother and his girlfriend, I had to run. No, I wasn't going to wait for my brother to get here with his girlfriend. I wasn't going to say hello to him and let him say some comment about my dorky carving. I also wasn't going to watch my girlfriend let my brother abuse me, even though I've done the same thing to her. So taking my carving kit, I left. I didn't bother to notify my parents, I just left them a note. I'm going out, I'll be back later. - Cedric I was kind of hoping they'd understand, but I knew in the back of my mind they'd smite me in the end, telling me how I have to spend time with my brother. At that time, though, I wasn't really considering the consequences.
Both my parents were upstairs when I left. My dad home from work (for a change) and my mom probably getting his clothes ready. It didn't matter how hard I closed the door, it wouldn't matter, they wouldn't notice me, they never did. As my feet carried me, my clothes, and my carving kit, I didn't worry about the people around my. I zigzagged through the crowds until I found myself an entrance to some of the outlying trees of the district, and then I stepped into the forest. Not wanting to venture out too far, where the trees might enclose me in a maze, I decided to slump down at the trunk of a tree about a half a mile away, where I could still see some figures walking past, even though a majority of my vision was clouded my neighboring trees. I took out my knife and a chunk of wood Wasp gave me.
My English teachers always said that reading a book makes you feel like you're in a different place, and I used to think That's B.S. But when I take out a piece of wood and a knife, I feel the way the teachers explained reading to me. Like I'm in a different world, the only person mattering is me, and no one else ceases to exists in those moments. This was one of those moments. And my true inspiration was Anabella, it always will be. That's who I decided to carve. Except I wouldn't tell her I did, I wouldn't show her it. I never did.
