you are my sweetest downfall
i loved you first, i loved you first
beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth
i have to go, i have to go

After arriving in the Capitol, it takes me a surprisingly small amount of time to establish that the rest of the tributes are decidedly ignorant. It's hard to say I'm any better, however. My first mistake involves opening the door of the boy from four in an attempt to have a decent conversation with somebody.
Despite my new, raised expectations concerning stupidity levels, I do not expect to see theblinddeaf kid bent over Ripley, fumbling frantically with a box of matches. I'll gladly give him one thing - for someone who can't hear, he's awfully quiet. Ripley still snores unattractively.
"What the hell are you doing?" I ask, outraged. He doesn't look around - of course not, he's fucking deaf - so I repeat my words again. This time, I say them louder. By now, the blankets have begun to singe at the edges. Pathetic.
In despair, I turn to the mini fridge and seize a bottle of spirits. I don't recognise the brand name, but it seems almost completely untouched. I don't wince as I pour the clear liquid over the sheets and flames erupt from the matches that Freak is still clawing at. Finally, I have his undivided attention.
"Ivy," I say, by means of introduction.
and history books forgot about us
and the bible didn't mention us
and the bible didn't mention us, not even once
you are my sweetest downfall
