Wow, wow, wow, so first of all, let me start by saying that I'd never ask this of anyone if I wasn't desperate. There are some things in life that you just have to do, and this is one of them.
I've been a member on this site for about a year and a half now, and like to think I know most of you pretty well. You guys know me too. You're my home online, even better than tumblr, because I actually talk to you guys. I don't have tumblr friends really, I have you guys. You guys have been incredible to me, and I don't really know how to thank you at all. As a family, you were here for me for my grade twelve year, and now for this year. I know I've been difficult to deal with lately. I've been highly emotional, and prone to bouts of sadness where my productivity levels have only seemed to plummet. I'm sorry about that, and sorry I wasn't a better staff member. I've been able to find myself getting happier recently though, because I've found something to hold onto.
In just a few months, I have the opportunity to go away to New Zealand for eleven months as a teacher's assistant and a camp counselor. While I'm there, I will have holidays and weekends off where I can finally do what I've always wanted to do, travel, and see a lot of sheep. When I'm there, I will be affecting the lives of those around me in a positive way, and I think that will really help my outlook on life.
The only thing is, this trip is going to cost me about six thousand dollars total, and at my wage, there is not a huge likelihood that I'll make that. I'm a measly crew trainer at McDonalds, and I make $10.25/hour. I'm desperately trying to find ways to come up with the money. Windy suggested I sell my body to the night, but I don't think my mother would approve. Shrimp suggested I set up an Indiegogo account. With this account, I can set up a fundraiser, and hopefully raise the money out of the goodness of other people's hearts.
I know you guys are not all swimming in riches. If you were, we'd all be living on an island fighting for our lives. All I'm asking that you do for me, is you help me advertise my fundraiser. If you can donate even $0.20, that's cool too. If you donate more, I'd be willing to make cool things for you, such as song covers, graphics, playlists, colour palettes, plots, characters, and more.
