Age: 16, but turning seventeen in two months.
Gender: Female
District/Area: Avox
Appearance:
Once unique and opiononated, Shiloh has been transformed into a mute slave.Personality:
When the avox alterations were performed on her, the surgeons clearly had one vision: simplicity.
Her skin is a crisp pale hue, free of all markings she had aquired in the past. The freckles that dappled the bridge of her nose? Gone. The scar cutting through her right eye, which she had obtained from her escape (see history for info)? Gone. Even the humanly warm glow of her skin has been removed somehow, leaving her with bare, lucid flesh.
Sheer red hair cascades down her shoulders and back, ending just above her lower waist-line. Where is used to flow in a fountian of spirals, it is now flows in straight sheets.
Her eyes are a deep indigo. They have a slight spark to them, but it is hidden under a cold, vaguely alert stare.
Unspoken words lay behind her pale sealed lips.
Her height is rather average, coming to about 5'6. The strange thing is Shiloh's bone structure, which is extremely slender to the point where she looks fragile with malnutrition. This is suprisingly not the capitol's doing, but she still resents it. She hates looking weak.
Shiloh is dressed in a simple white garmet, much like a peacekeeper's robe, but clearly less extravagent. It resembles a small dress, it's fabric thin and flimsy. A small woven belt rests on her waist.
Her personality has not changed very much since her days as a free District Eight citizen. She is the silent type, the one always last to speak (which she doesn't have the luxury of doing). But when she spoke back in the district, her words were laced with opinion and self-confidence, usually about the capitol's actions and the ongoing Hunger Games. The were blunt, but they rang truth to them.History:
These comments, or rather, rants, would usually trigger a response from others listening in, ultimately leading to disagreements and quarrels. But in some cases, it would lead to unity and agreement among the participants. Anger towards a single cause, which usually was none other then the Capitol, itself.
Shiloh would neither acknowledge or participate in these responses. Or even egg them on. She would just relocate, and find something else to do, something else to talk about.
She was the fuse for the fire, the trigger but not the bullet.
This made the peacekeepers weary of her. Yet, they could never suffice enough proof to actually arrest her... when finally, they did. And it was for much more then her openess.--
The way she holds herself has replaced her opionionated comments. She does not wear the hunch of the defeated, nor does she wear the slouch of the ashamed. She holds herself with evident dignity, with the mark of rebellion. Her stares are cold and heartless, instead of complying and submissive as other avoxes' gazes are. She does not look down or away from the ones she serves. In fact, she does the exact opposite, staring back into the eyes of the other. This is not nessecarily a stare of hatred or loathing, rather, it is a stare of undying definace. Unless, Shiloh is dealing with tributes. She doesn't mind serving them, for they are basically in the same position she is; players in the Capitol's game.
In these small ways, she creates her own small acts of rebellion.
Behid the cold exterior, lays a far more valuble interior. Secrets. Things she has heard as an avox, working in the capitol buildings, serving other tibutes. Silent secrets never to be revealed. This makes her seem somewhat mysterious; haunting...
But lately, rules have been stricter on avoxes, with rigid guidelines. One mistake could equal several harsh punishments. In this way, the capital keeps chewing away at the thin sliver of dignity she has held onto. One of these days, she'll be left with no dignity at all.
Her history is is vague and comlicated, something I will not reveal all at once to add real mystery to the character herself.Codeword: muttations
But I will say this:
She was turned into an avox after being charged with, attempted murder, disloyalty to the capitol, and arson.

((Just a side-note: I have no idea what Avoxes actually wear. I have looked through my books and searched online and found nothing. So I just created what I thought an avox might wear. If there is an official uniform, please just inform me about it and I will edit.
I'll check this over for typos and try to elliminate many as possible, but I'm not guaranteeing I will be able to find all of them. This was typed at an unearthly time, so I bet there are tons. Sorry about that. XD
The actual avox girl in the hunger games trilogy was the inspiration behind Shiloh, but I took great care to ensure Shiloh's uniqueness. She has red hair, because that is how I initially pictured hair.
And lastly, I'd love to roleplay her onboard tributes' trains or in their headquarters, etc. If this is not possible, I am totally fine with it, but I think it would be a very interesting. c:))
