Appearance:
Ashton is very a very small teenager. About 5 foot exact, 5'3 when he stands on his tip toes. He's very thin, due to lack of food in his life. He does have a very roundish and very soft looking face; somewhat like a China doll. He's often mistaken for a girl by a lot of people, including his teachers.Personality:
His hair is very thick and curly, which is why he doesn't cut it short. When it's short it looks more like an afro. He has green eyes that look like a blue color in certain kinds of lighting. He also has thin, delicate fingers.
Most people claim that Ashton seems more of the kind to live in The Capitol with the way he looks. But everyone knows that's impossible due to that everyone remember when he was born and remember how his mother was basically a walking corpse during, and after the pregnancy.
He has slightly dark circles under his eyes due to lack of sleep and lack of food. Anyone could grip his arm and break it with a simple grip.
Ashton is very shy, but when he comes out of his shell, he's a ball of energy and sunshine. He very selfless, and is willing to help people even when no one is willing to help him. He's often hungry, but he doesn't complain. A lot of people who knew his mother, claim he behaves a lot like her; the opposite of his father.History:
He's sensitive, and is prone to cry easily. Even when his stomach is growling and in pain from lack of food, he's doesn't complain. He's easy to scare and it's why he cries during the reapings.
Ashton likes nature and things. Often times, he can be found sitting in front of the fence, but he's never been on the other side of it. Never been on the other side of the fence, even though he dreams of it. Being able to run through the grass, see wild life, etc etc. If he did, he'd be able to find something to eat. Like berries, and plants that aren't seen here.
He's a bit of a dreamer, and often times has a very short attention span. You have to constantly keep him entertained to have his attention, or it can be lost with the snap of your fingers.
Ashton is the youngest, and last living child of Renetta and Bruce. All of their other children either died of starvation, or died in The Hunger Games. So now, it's only Ashton and his father. Ashton's mother passed away when he was a very small child. Complications from the birth, and the lack of medical availability to Renetta. Since then, Ashton's father has blamed him for his wife's death.Codeword: odair
Ashton's always been unlucky when it came to everything. He's constantly hungry due to the fact his father always spends their money on alcohol. He's had to resort to stealing food on occasion just to survive. The moment he turned 12, his father made him sign up for the Tessera. He was lucky that it arrived when his father wasn't home. He was finally able to have something decent to eat. Of course when his father found out he'd gone through it, it caused him to have one severe beating.
Ashton's status among people his own age is not very good. He's often picked on by the other children, or by people older then him. He's often found picking through trash or scraps to find something to eat or to trade at The Hob. So by the time he's done, he's dirty and that gives more people ammunition against him.
The first reaping he went through, he cried. Right in front of everyone, he cried. Many people were starring at him or made comments amongst themselves about him. He was so certain he was going to be a Tribute. He was so sure he was going to be sent into the games. He was so unlucky as it was. When another boy's name was called, Ashton fell to his knee's. He was so thankful it wasn't him.
When the Square was cleared, one of the PeaceKeepers helped him to his feet. "Go on home, kid." and he did. Ashton ran all the way home, then burst through his front door and into his room. That night he cried again, but this time into his pillow. Ashton's father hated when the boy woke him up out of his sleep.
Each reaping was like that. Ashton would cry, thinking it was his turn to go, but when someone else's name was called he'd fall to his knee's and later be picked up by someone else. The next day at school, the kids all picked and made fun of him. Especially children who are related to any of the tributes.
Most people don't know it, but he's very fast. So if he was ever sent into the games, he'd be able to run.
