Difiance and Avox should not mix...(Luna)

Anna had been an Avox servant for nearly three months and it had been two months since she had seen her twelve year old brother be sent out to the Hunger Games....She had served him his food and neither of them could even look to long at each other both of them knowing it would be trouble for her....And she could comfort him or he tell her that their other brother had been exacuted the same day as her arest instead of being tuned into an Avox....That was the horrible building and now she was in a diffrent place...She remebered being in the Avox chamber having been ordered there and some one giving her a shot before she passed out. When she came to she noticed she had been cleaned and was being carried by some one her hands and feet shackled of course. And she was out side for the first time since she became an avox she had felt the sun. But it was short lived and she still couldn't see anything because of the blind fold.... Sadly they entered doors and she was carried up stairs and placed on the floor still pretending to be uncounsouse until the ,what she gueassed a guard, was gone...Sitting up she made no attempt to move simply waiting and that was around thirty minutes to an hour ago since she was placed there. Unknown to her she had been sold to a prestigus family as baby-sitter like person or companion for their fourteen year old daughter and do milde house chore since they all ready had maids and fine chefs for their meals and house.

Belameane Jives

"Why exactly do we need an Avox, Mom? The work was getting done well enough with the people we have." a girl said, frowning. She had one arm to her side and the other to her cheek.

"I know, Belameane, but the work would get done faster with the Avox working here." Water running could be heard from where the other voice originated from.

"You could say that if we added 50 more. My point is is that we don't really need one. It would be better to send her to a lower District since they're starving."

Sigh. "Belameane, don't be like that. Please, can you tell the Avox about her duties? She's here to take over the cleaning for your room."

The black-haired girl nodded hesitantly. She traced the rail with her hand while heading up, loose and not concentrating. Each door was opened and inspected until she found the right one. The little fourteen-year old tilted her head, hiding her negative feeling of the concept.

"Good morning..." The door creaked shut. "You're the Avox, huh? Nice to see you, I suppose..." She waited for the silent girl to acknowledge her before spilling what she had to do.

Anna blinked behind her blind fold hearing a voice and foot stewps into the house until she then heared silence for a few moments before hearing the door open all the way and some one step in....The voice sounded maybe a younge teen ager, female apearently...Though because she couldn't talk it was annoying when she couldn't see the person she was talking to, but she hid her annoyance for now. After the girl was finished she held out her arms pulling at her wrist chains the oposite asking for the girl to undo the shackles on her wrists anckles, kneese (why they put them on her kneese she had no idea), and her blind fold so she could properly see all the earea her chores consist of, along with her current...mistress? Well it didn't matter what she refured to her considering she couldn't speak any way. Her long mixed shades of black hair were in a messy french braid down her back and loose hair fasalling be hind her nack and down the side of her face from what she felt her kelotascope blue and grey eyes hiden by the grey blind fold. She never understood the blind fold part they were just stuck in a dark capartment and they couldn't get away because of the shackles...If they some how did they'd be instantly reconized by their out fits...So why block out another sense when an Avox is uncunsose...Then again it was Capitol afficials and all of them were kreeps...A good thing about being an avox is nothing slips to others ears.

The girl withdrew a key from her pocket. She walked over to the Avox, sighing. "This is so unnecessary. An Avox that can't see or move their arms won't be able to do anything. Stupid Capitol." The shackles and blindfold was stripped off and clunked against the floor.

Another sigh. "You're not that bad-looking, but not like an Avox is graded on their looks." She was quite irritated and confused about the reason for having more people to work under them. "My mom says you're to clean my room to lessen the work around here. I honestly don't see why we need more, though. You could be working for a better place."

Anna rubbed her wrists light red marks on them from them being to tight alogn with how she had been handled on her way to the girls house. "You should tell the perverted guards and male owners that peice of information...." the seven teen year old thought to herself when the darker haired girl said she wasn't noticed or graded on their looks. Not that it ever happened to her at least touch wise...Just because she was deff didn't meen she was blind to how some of the women Avox's came back to the Capitol building looking. It discusted her and she made sure she was never alone with a male guard even if they were nice she had lost most of her trust in the human race for adviouse resons. Nodding softly when she was told she just had to basicly clean the girls room and a few other things. Seeing a peice of paper and pencil on the table she wrote "My name is Anna if that matters at all...". They weren't saposed to have reples like that...But then again she wasn't in the capitol so she was gfoing to break as many suddle lesser known rules as she could one of them being comunication knowing the caapitol couldn't punish her because she wasn't owned by them..Unless she did something stupid like try to run away...

Blue eyes read the direct statement. The girl smiled a small smile. "It's a nice, simple name, and it would be better to know your name than to just call you 'Avox' or 'you'." She opened the door behind her, needing air in the room. "I'm Belameane, but call me 'Bean'. It's shorter and not as fancy-like."

She remembered quickly. "Or just tap me on the shoulder. I don't need the manners."

Anna smiled softly as the grl quickly corrected herself when she told her to call her a nme though it was nice to know theperson your servings name well at least to her so she knew when some one asked for them who they were. Pointing at the hall way she motioned for the other to show her, her room so she could see what she needed to clean. Besides she liked this girl it had been a long time sionce she had been around some one her age or younger so it was nice....She wondered if they would let her go out side with them or work on a garden if they had one...She had been so lone some with out any plants or sun like what she was used to from Distrect 11...Heck one hour in the sun she'd gofrom her moon light paleness to at least a moderate tan with no burning at all...And her hair would regain its blond and red streaks again if she went out side three days a week...Then again it was Distrect 2 they weren'tknown for gardens and things of that assortment from what she had heared.

Belameane could not get what Anna was asking of her. "Um... here, let's get out of this room. I'll show you a tour of the house, if you want." She reciprocated a grin as the Avox smiled. "I'm sure Mom would want you to eat something, anyways."

She opened the door wider, waiting for the Avox to come along with her. "It's not really big, I don't think. This shouldn't take too long."

"Oh well close enough..." the Avox thought to herself when Bean said she was going to give her a tour of the house. She was originally just asking for the girls room but this was better any way. Blinking but also feeling relife when she said she was going to eat...So she gueassed at least the women in the femal were nice so far. She wondered and gueassed there waqs a man in the house but tried not to jump to conclusions if her basic only job was to clean the girls room. SO it was most likely to entertain or give the girl company though they couldn't talk there were other meens of comunication. Fallowing the girl her eyes looked around taking the place and memorizsing it. WHich was a lot easier after having to find her way through the capitol building many floors that looked the same...So this wasn't very difficult and all most enjoyable seeing all the colors and signs that a family lived here....She missed her huge family that had ,from her knologe and hope, dwendled down to her last brother and four to five year old sister...But it was un-likely for them to servive on their own..Pushing her saddening thoughts away quickly she listened to Bean as she gave her the tour.

Belameane pointed to any door passing their way, entailing Anna their function or proper name. Sometimes they visited the room inside to give a nice look to add to the Avox's memory.

The last room to be visited was the girl's own room. Inside was the various colors of book covers strewn all over the bed and floor. The amount of material could probably fit a small library. "This is my room," she stated with a soft, apologetic smile. "I like to read, so my room is usually this messy. Otherwise, my mom wants you to make sure it's clean enough for me to breath. I have a low immunity system."
