Pureness Krow
My eyes open to find it's the middle of the night. Good. I slept in a little.
I stand and stetch, my muscels sore from sleeping on hard the stone ground for so long. I roll my shoulder backward, listening with satisfaction at the quiet popping sound it makes, and the soreness disappears. I look up to find that there isn't a moon, or stars. Outside, it is nearly pitch black. I grin, tilting my head slightly to the side. I love the dark. I love the blackness that creeps all around when it is dark. Many people are afraid of the dark. Well, not really afraid of the dark, they're afraid of what's in it. I'm just the opposite. I'm the hiding thing they're afraid of.
I brush off my wrinkled black jeans. Tiny pebbles fall to the ground like rain. I grab my belt, tying it tightly around my waist and picking one of the many weapons attatched to it; a long, curved blade. I slash it through the air a few times, listening to the whistling sound, before stepping out of the cave and into the fresh night.
My eyes pick out the bits of light almost immediately, and I walk calmly in that direction, through the many trees.
A few voices ring out in the stillness. I don't jump, like most people would. Instead, I calmly change my direction towards a tree, pressing myself against it as flat as possible. My eyes scan calmly around, finding a tiny light in the distance. Peacekeepers. I wait until they near, and as soon as they do, it's obvious this'll be quick. They've obviously been out here too long, have had a drink before hand, and are barely glancing at the world around them as they grumble complaints between each other. I step out from behind the tree, and with a few stabs and punches, have them on the ground unconscious, bleeding heavily. I smile softly, watching the flashlight one of them was holding swing around, almost as if searching for something. I'm about to gracefully leap over them and continue towards the lights when my gut tightens slightly. I look down at the Keepers, but neither of them are awake.
I turn around, a lazy expression in my eyes, my sword held up in front of me in a defensive yet relaxed position. I see no one, but it's been a long time since I've depended on my sight.
"You know, sneaking up on me is a great way to commit suicide. You're lucky I'm in a good mood, or you'd already be dead."
