Archer Fields[/u]
Day One~~The Forest
The "rope" they used worked well. They were able to sneak through the Cornucopia once more actually. Blood still lay spewed all over the ground. They spent little time searching for extra supplies, but everything was stripped clean it appeared. Hopefully, Zinnia, Ailia, and Jeremy had made it out of the Blood Bath. He was almost sure everyone had headed to the woods. No doubt more lives would be lost today. Somebody was bound to bump into another tribute sooner or later. How big could the forest be?
"Be careful around here. Keep your ey--ears open for anything," he said as they entered the forest. Having a blind ally was not uncomfortable at all. A bit uneasy, but only because Archer worried about him. Being blind made him a potential target in the Games. An easy one at that. The only thing probably warding off the other tributes was the fact that Archer was there. He was sort of glad. He had made a good choice when allying with Arbor. The boy had also proven to be quite a useful ally. Since he was blind, he had shown great ability in his hearing skills.
The forest was vast. The tree were covered in frost, but behind the snow, you could somehow find some sort of lush setting. He pulled out his pickaxe and carried it at his side. Arbor was a little bit behind him. He tugged on the rope, signifying that he was still there. Archer worried about Arbor. He did know that this was a death match, and only one of them would walk away with his life, but he couldn't help but wish that they could both one day look back at this day and only remember this as a memory. A nightmare. But this place was already a nightmare. A hellish place where he had to kill to see the next morning.
He thought about the others. They had to be here. The bait was all set up. The first instinct would be to head somewhere concealed and what appeared to be safe. Not exactly. Where's there's gold, there's always a gold digger. The bait was all in the forest. With more than 1/3 of the tributes probably in there, it was perhaps the worst place to go in at this stage in the Games. But since it was on the eastern border of the Arena, Zinnia, Ailia, and Jeremy would have no choice but to enter the forest.
And now, neither would the tied up unpoised skinny boy and the blind homosexual. Nope. No choice.
