Life isn't all that bad, really. If you just count out the hunger games, there really isn't much to complain about here. Sure in the lower districts, I might complain, but even there, they can go out hunting without anyone knowing so they too have nothing to complain about. It's just human psychology, to want more. You can never be satisfied, so what's the point of wanting? I've heard rumors of anti-uprising groups and uprising groups, but I've got no interest in either. I'll just sit back and watch the show.
Some people call me impertinent and uncaring, but that's not true. I'll go to the aid of anyone, and I mean pretty much everyone, even a peacekeeper, because I get some good reward for it. No matter how much the peacekeepers try to hate you, they've got to like you a bit more if you save them from drowning or something. I get days at a time off of work, because the peacekeepers like me and know I hate medicine. That's the one bad thing about District 2. Our job. I absolutely hate the dull work we do here. I wouldn't mind working with chemicals or DNA and mutating things, but here in District 2, our branch of science has to be the most boring ever created. Sure, I can take apart and put back together a gun, or create a solar powered car, but what does that matter when you need to make medicine?
Work is getting out now, so I go and hang by the entrance to see if I can spot any of my friends getting out of work. Or just pick to make a new friend. It doesn't really matter with me, just find someone to keep me company.
(just say you're coming out of work, and you see me and hang out with me, kay?)
