Regan scanned the forest floor. She was perched up in a tree,
hidden from sight. She wish she had brought Rashta along. All
she had a a knife. They where from the Districts. They could have
guns. Blow her to peices, ending the Runaways before they even
reached five members (including her.)

She really regretted her proud moment right now. At lease she
could had brought Lana, the Head Healer.

If they wanted, the Anti-Uprisers could turn her into crowfood
before she could even think about drawing her knife.

"Hey Regan, hows the new gang goin?" I said, as I tepped out of a patch of un-usually tall Strawberry bushes.

Ahhh, so subtle. Hey, just because im quiet and stealthy doesnt mean I have to bandy about my words.

So anyways, might as well explain why im here.

Im the Spy Master of the gang The Anti's, and i've been sent to talk to the leader of an up and coming gang, The Runaways in a hope to make them our allies. Insofar as I could tell, we've made no progress, but since that was the first thing I have said, it doesnt surprise me. But now that I come to think of it, I might of had a better opening line... ugh, curse me and my over-thinking ways.

The sudden voice made Regan fall out of her tree.
"You're who they sent? Honestly. One would think that trying to kill a the leader of you soon-to-be-allie wouldn't be a good idea." She snarled, narrowing her eyes. The guy they sent was really cute. No, cute would be an insult. He was scorching hot. She wondered if he had a girlfriend back in his District.

Dru didn't just suddenly appear out of the shadows. That would have been cool and filled her with a sense of pride and smugness but no, no, no. God, the Fates, luck itself, maybe even Mother Nature was playing games with her. Immediately ruining her chance to seem mysterious and strong in front of a potential Allie or enemy. It all depended on Dru. The crunching leaves and twigs beneath her feet and a few words her mother would not have approved of uttered through gritted teeth announced her presence before she stepped into the clearing. What was his name? The guy who Regan of the Runaways so clearly was annoyed by. Well whoever he was, Dru didn't let him get a word in, she spoke quickly. His name was a mystery but his duty was well known. Her fellow Upriser was a spy, his cover would be blown if he was stupid enough to let on to that fact.

"No. They sent Dru Charlesburg of District One. The pleasure is all mine Regan, Leader of the Runaways." She cursed. Brittany Dreamer had given her tips on how to address potential allies. She had told her to sound alive and strong and bold and cool and awesome and fiery. Just like that. Brie had hurriedly said those exact words to her in an excited, earnest tone of voice. That was what she was supposed to be. Excited, and bright with just a hint of the creepy, monotone voice that she usually used. Of course Dru was nervous. Not enough for her to start stuttering and fidgeting, but nervous enough that the second she spoke those words her mind emptied. The advice was gone and Dru was left to speak to Regan in her usual, fear-inspiring, blunt voice.

Well anyways, that was then and this was now. The representative smiled. It was a strain; her mouth was not used to grinning, she usually just smirked or curved the edges of her mouth up in a twisted little knot. Brie had told her she was admirable because of her lack of emotion, yet at this moment Dru felt overly emotional. Ashamed that she, a brilliant girl of fifteen years, could not win over some dumb runaway. She frowned on the inside while still trying to keep that fake smile plastered onto her face.

It wasn't working. She sighed and dropped the good-natured, friendly cover. Dru was tired/sick/hungry/thirsty and all. A long hike had robbed her of her usual wit and quick thinking. Whatever.

ooc- that was horrid but at least its a reply for y'all to spring board off of. Once the thread gets more interesting Ill be able to put some more muse into a good reply.
