For such a sunny day, Ravena Kavieria was in the worst of moods. She didn't look up at the sky and admire it's bright blue color or how pretty the clouds looked, instead she stared blankly at the dirt and wondered where she was actually going. She never had had a destination in mind when she had walked out of District Eight for a while, she was just sure that she had to get away. In District Eight she was starving, she was tired, she was an outcast. Any other place though, people wouldn't already know her. This would be to her advantage if she wandered into another District- she wouldn't have to worry about her past experiences and no one would know what she was really like.
Her stomach growled again as it always did- she hadn't eaten anything for several days and she had weakened considerably. She had already been weak even before her parents had kicked her out of the house and disowned her two years ago, but ever since then she had lost even more strength. Food was always hard to come by if she didn't steal- but she usually had to- and she was almost always hungry. A few days ago, however, something had occurred to her. If she were to get her hands on a weapon of sorts and learn how to use it, she could easily hunt for herself and never have an empty stomach ever again.
That task, however, would be a difficult one. How on earth would she get her hands on a weapon if weapons were few and far between in the Districts? She finally decided just to try and get a knife with which she could hunt, or make her own weapon with. She had already tried weaseling a knife from almost everyone in District Eight, but everyone refused and slammed the door in her face. Which is why she was on this journey.. It would be easier to get a knife from someone who she didn't know then someone who actually knew who she was.
She didn't exactly look the greatest as she realized she was staring up at the District Four fence- her hair was a mess, she had dirt on her face, and her clothes were ratty and disgusting- but she couldn't help it. She peered at the fence for one more small moment before she slipped in through an obvious gap and ventured in, gazing around for someone who could possibly help her.
