This was a tricky business,forming an alliance with another gang.It brought a whole new set of worries with it,because now they might not be up against just the Capitol.If they alligned with this gang,they were up against this gang's enemies too,which was an issue.

And or course,this talk of an alliance could be just some kind of trap.These gang members,they might not exactly have an alliance in mind.

And for that,there at least was a threat,until he was absolutely sure that he could trust these people.For that,he brought along a knife.Yeah.Him,with a knife,maybe against a bunch of people with guns.Either this went well,or this ended for him.He silently wished he had another member with him,but then realized that was foolish.If he were to die,then the other would die too.

Shrugging the thought of,he gazed around the district that he knew much,much too well.Being born here,with too many bad memories to count,he suddenly realized that this could be troublesome.What if he ran into some of the people he used to get in fights with?Then,he wouldn't just have to worry about the gang killing him,but about the district officials killing him too,for running away.

What a wonderful,happy thought.

All there was for him to do was wait,all the while hoping that no one he had known recognized him.He suddenly became aware of the knife that he had inside of his bag,and how quickly he might need to draw it out.

Hopefully,though,he wouldn't need to.With a sigh,he waited the agonizing long time,worry creeping up at him every second.

Anna Lawson walked quickly to the rendezvous point, Peter close behind her. He always came when she went to another gang or crime lord; a silent, glowering man hunched, always nearby, always watching for anything even vaguely inappropriate to give him an excuse to whip out his gun and shoot the brains out of the offender.

How annoying...

They made quite a picture though. A tall, handsome, brown haired man in black, his blue eyes taking in pretty much everything, walking next to a tall, blond-haired, green eyed beauty in the same kind of color scheme. Both wore black pants, and black sweaters against the cold wind. "Winter's last, dying breath," Meggie had said. Anna smiled slightly. Her sister; the psychotic poet.

She approached the boy who she knew to be Caden Follet, with whom she'd be talking with. Peter scowled, and she shot him an irritated glance before walking up to the young man.

She was a bit surprised. She'd been told of his background; a runaway from this very District. And she'd been briefly briefed on the Uprising, his gang. Though she didn't know it's goal. Of course, maybe it didn't have one. Just because Fringe had one didn't necessarily mean every gang did.

She smiled and held out her hand. "Hello," she said kindly. "I'm Anna Lawson, from Fringe. This is Peter Queens. We'll be talking to you about the possible alliance."

They didn't keep him waiting,which was a plus.And they didn't seem to be in the 'I will shoot you' kind of mood,which was also a definite plus.They seemed...nice enough.But as they were in a gang,and one in District 1,for that matter,there must be a reason to take them seriously.

There was brown haired man,who followed a blond-haired woman.Not the most intimidating bunch,but intimidation really wasn't the key right now anyways.They were here for an alliance,after all.

The man with the woman seemed almost ready to strangle Caden,even with one glance at him.Well,it was always his job to lighten up the situation anyways,even if he wanted nothing else but to punch something.It was just who he was.

Just glad to be doing something other then sitting at camp,Caden listened as the woman spoke,holding out her hand for him to shake.With a warm smile,Caden shook her hand as she began to speak.

"Hello,I'm Anna Lawson, from Fringe. This is Peter Queens. We'll be talking to you about the possible alliance."

Caden nodded,glancing back and forth between the two for a moment before he began."I'm Caden Follet.Obviously,I'm from The Uprising."

His voice was quieter now.The name of the group was obvious,explaining their goal well enough.To destroy the Capitol.Simple enough.

Yeah,right.

"Obviously." Peter agreed, and Anna shot him an irritated glance.

"Now then. I think we should lay down the problems that would arise with our alliance first." Anna said seriously. "Obviously, we would inherit each others enemies. In our case, it's the Untouchables. I'm not sure who your enemies would be-"

"I think it's obvious." Peter said. "The Capitol. The Prestige is one thing, Anna, but we have no resources to deal with helping a bunch of kids defeat the Capitol." Anna ignored him, but still looked troubled.

"That's true. We wouldn't really be able to help you much. We barely have enough money to fund ourselves, much less all of you. Of course," she shrugged. "With our recent alliance, we'd have more money. And we'd have access to resources you probably wouldn't."

"Obviously,"the man said,and Caden watched as the woman,Anna,shot him a glance.

Caden frowned at that.

Anna spoke up,though."That's true. We wouldn't really be able to help you much. We barely have enough money to fund ourselves, much less all of you. Of course.With our recent alliance, we'd have more money. And we'd have access to resources you probably wouldn't."

At that,Caden spoke up.They were in need of things,the group.They would be nothing,if they didn't have the obvious supplies.

"It wouldn't be that much,I don't think.We just need the obvious things.Medical supplies,weapons,anything that would be helpful.In return,we help you."

Anna considered that. "I think we can provide that. If Meggie doesn't spend too much on chemicals and cows."

"Hey, with Gene, we don't have to buy milk." Peter pointed out. Anna chuckled.

"I think we can do that, Caden," she said again. "What kinds of things, specifically, would you need?"

Anna seemed to be considering it for a moment,and then she spoke."I think we can provide that.If Meggie doesn't spend too much with chemicals and cows."

Chemicals and cows?He didn't even want to know.

"Hey,with Gene,we don't have to buy milk."The man,Peter,said as Anna laughed.

"I think we can do that,Caden.What kinds of things,specifically,would you need?"

The group hadn't exactly talked this over before he came here,but he wasn't stupid.They needed more modern weapons.Guns.

"Well...we can't exactly go attack the Capitol with what we have now.So,guns,mainly.Anything that you can spare."He would get to the medical stuff later.

"Weapons." Anna said thoughtfully. "I believe we can do that."

"You know what the best thing about you're plan is?" Peter asked scathingly. "It's completely insane."

"Weapons."He heard Anna say,as he waited for her opinion.Was that a yes?They would be nothing,without weapons.Thankfully,she continued."I believe we can do that."

At that,Caden smiled.but Peter cut in.

"You know what the best thing about your plan is?"Caden smiled wider.

"No,but I bet you're going to tell me."He said quickly,before Peter spoke.

"It's completely insane."Peter said scathingly.

Caden burst out laughing at that.It may be insane,it had been tried before,and they did fail,but did that stop the darn insanity?

If there was anything the Capitol couldn't take from them,it was the their sanity.It was already gone.

"But it's completely worth it."

Peter scowled, taking the laughter the wrong way. Anna quickly spoke.

"Perhaps, but you should understand," she said. "That, while you, as Wanderers, will probably be out of the reach of our enemies, the Untouchables-"

"By throwing our support, however meager, to you," Peter interrupted. "We'll be making enemies of the Capitol. Which," Peter scowled. "Is so not worth it. You'll be getting all the benefits, while we get all the extra worries."

Caden watched with an amused smile when Peter scowled.It was so fun messing with people sometimes.But,as they hadn't agreed on anything yet,he had to be a bit nicer,althuogh he really wasn't doing anything but smiling and laughing.It was Peter that wasn't acting right.

"Perhaps you should understand.That,while you,as Wanderers,will probably be out of reach of our enemies,the Untouchables-"She stopped,and Peter cut in.

"By throwing our support,however meager to you,we'll be making enemies of the Capitol.Which.He scowled."Is so not worth it.You'll be getting all the benefits,while we get all the extra worries."

Caden smiled wider."We are strong in numbers.With a little help from your weapons,and some medicine and other supplies,we can help you take down the Untouchables."

It would be good practice,too,for the Capitol.

"I think you underestimate them." Peter said, frowning, though now in more concern than irritation. "I was part of their gang for awhile; ruthless the whole lot of them. And Donovan," He made a disgusted face, and Anna grinned.

"And Donovan?" She asked, prompting.

"And Donovan," Peter snapped. "Is the single most egotistical, narcissistic, brilliant son-of-a-b!tch I've ever had the displeasure to know."

"I think you underestimate them."The man seemed actually...concerned?That was different."I was part of their gang for awhile; ruthless the whole lot of them. And Donovan,"

The name seemed to be important to the two of them."And Donovan?"Anna asked.

"And Donovan."Peter snapped back at her."Is the single most egotistical,narcissistic,brilliant son-of-a-b!tch I've ever had the displeasure to know."

Well,that was nice to know.They had to be careful then.The thought was funny,though,so Caden had to speak.

"I've got to see him then,you know.He'll be in good company,after that."He said,making fun of himself easily.

Anna laughed good-naturedly, and Peter rolled his eyes.

"Buncha loonies. I'm surrounded by crazy people." Peter muttered.

Anna paid him no more mind. "So. The bad has been made clear. What about the good."

"We get a couple more people, and they get whatever we can give them." Peter said. "Which, if I may say again, is totally unbalanced."

Anna ignored him, much to his displeasure, and watched Caden.

He had been about to tell them what few other things they needed,but now obviously wasn't the best time for that.

Anna had laughed at his comment,and Peter rolled his eyes.Obviously he wasn't one for jokes."Buncha loonies.I'm surrounded by crazy people."

He watched as Anna seemed to ignore the guy."So.The bad has been made clear.What about the good?"

Peter cut in.Again.Wonderful."We get a couple more people,and they get whatever we can give them.Whhich,if I may say again,is totally unbalanced."

Caden sighed.How was he going to change the guys mind?Well,just had to state the truth.

"It really isn't.We have many members,and most are skilled fighters.We even have a trained assassin.We can at least help you beat the Untouchables.This time,I think you're underestimating us."
