My green eyes sparkle like grass. Wait, let's make that emeralds, those are much prettier. People say I'm an average size, whatever that means. My blonde hair falls a little way past my shoulders. People tell me I'm too skinny but I think I'm normal. I'm kinda tall, but I guess that's average too. I'm quite tan if I do say so myself. I guess I'm your typical fourteen year old looking girl.

My legs are long and lanky. Don't tell anyone, but I'm really clumsy. I like staying clean, and the smell of the smell of the woods is like a perfume. My clothes are usually simple despite my wishful colorful style. I've tried using different colored berries and things to add streaks of color to my blonde hair. It never stays colored though. I like to wear my mom's rare emerald stone necklace, a family heirloom. I guess you could say it is my good luck charm.

I am usually a very happy and energetic person. I enjoy the little things in life, and I try not to take them for granted. I do have a few pet peeves now that I think about it... I can't stand the sound of metal clinking. Ugh, and ice scraping on teeth. I'm getting goosebumps just talking about it. I don't get angry easily, only when people push me further than they should. It's not easy to push my buttons.

When I do get angry though, it doesn't really look like it. It looks more like I'm in pain if that is a good way to describe it. I have never really been good at yelling, and sometimes I get made fun of for being so soft. My soft heart does have an even mushier place for animals though. I love all types of animals, and I have a pet dog and cat. My dog's name is Mindy and my cat is Diez. I also have a "pet" deer named Fawna. I love them so much!

I get along pretty well with everyone, well mostly everyone. I do like this one person a lot, but I don't think he knows I exist. I've never been one of those boy-crazy girls. Every once in a while I've had a boyfriend, but my dad usually scares them off. But it's okay, because he always does it for the best. I'm independent, and I don't need a boy to protect my every move. I can't wait to stand on my own two feet for once. I'm my own person.

HISTORY

My life has been a rough one. I lost my amazing brother Derek when I was seven. He was reaped in the games and died in the final two. He was murdered by the winner. I'll never forgive the one who won. I feel like Derek watches over me every day. Our family has never been the same. We hate the capitol with a fiery passion.

I'm terrified of being reaped. My family seems to be the unlucky ones always being picked for the games. For example, my mother's sister an my dad's cousin were reaped and they all died. I'm scared if I do get reaped I probably would never come back. My brother went to the detention center a year before he was reaped, and he never was the same. He seemed to always be depressed and shut off from the world. Losing him has made me in a way, scared to open up to people. It's hard for me to let people in.

My mom and dad got divorced, but then they got back together. Those three weeks of having divorced parents were a horrible three weeks. I missed my momma's soft hand, and my daddy's smart advice. They completed each other perfectly. When they told us they were getting back together, we literally had a party. Life has been getting better, but it could drop in an instant. I guess I'm waiting for that moment. But when it gets here, I'll be ready to take it by the horns.
