Appearance:

Orchid is slightly below the average height for a girl her age, standing at 5'2, but has average weight, weighing 100 pounds. She has short, straight dirty blonde hair, though generally wears wigs everywhere she goes, so not many know her actual hair. She is slightly pale, but is also known to wear subtle amounts of make-up to cover it up. Her eyes are hazel, with average size eyelashes, though for once, nothing is used to make it prettier. She has multiple grotesque scars on her back from being whipped, and once again, nobody knows about it except her immediate family.

She often wears odd clothing. She loves skirts and dresses, especially of odd colors or fabrics. She also wears lots of jewelry, especially bracelets and necklaces. They generally look good on her, but some people question what she's wearing. You can always find some flower in her hair, whether it's her real hair or not. Overall, she enhances her looks a lot, and wears odd things.

Personality:

Orchid is unaware that she suffers from Bipolar Disorder. Most of the time, she is happy, energetic, and very giggly. She's known to drift off randomly, especially when someone mentions a boy she likes. She's also very impulsive, and never thinks of the consequences of what she does, most of the time unware of what the consequences would be. She's also loud, annoying, and bad at reading the atmosphere, needing to be told directly what needs to be done.

On the other hand, on her bad days, she's quite the opposite. She mostly locks herself away from others. She will get mad at things easily, snapping at others, and getting abnormally quiet. She'll often believe that nothing will get better, and that nobody understands her. In the worst cases, she'll even become suicidally depressed, though hasn't followed those thoughts yet. She'll feel very lonely, and thoughts of telling others her problems never come to her.

When she's in between her moods, she's much less energetic, though still optimistic and known to drift off. She dislikes her family, but she especially hates her mother. She loves nature, and her favourite place is a small flower field in the forest outside the fence. She's also famous for seeing the 'ghost of her brother', unware that she simply hallucinates. If anyone gives her a good first impression, she gets very over-attached to them, and will go into a depressed state if they ever leave her. If she has a bad first impression of anyone, she automatically hates them, and will usually daydream about killing them in the Hunger Games. She doesn't really want to be in the Hunger Games, but wouldn't object to being reaped; she'd finally get away from her family, after all.

History:

Orchid was born in the upper-middle class of district 1. She was the second child born to her mother Cacta Silvastirps. Her mother is quite promiscuous, her first child being born when she was 16, and non of her children were born from the same father. Her mother owns a popular jewelry store. They're rich enough to afford many luxuries, but not rich enough to go without work. Cacta often uses her children for advertisements. She makes Orchid wear wigs and make-up, and her jewelry, and has her advertise to strangers. Cacta is currently married to a timid young man, who simply agrees with whatever Cacta says. Orchid knows it will last as long as her first marriage.

Orchid use to have an older half brother, named Arbor, whom she loved very much. On her eighth birthday, Arbor decided to show her his secret place. He showed her how to cross the fence without being caught, and showed her a flower field in the forest. She loved it instantly, but unfortunately, hovercrafts came by, and it was too late for them to hide. Orchid, because it was her first offense, and she was so young, simply was whipped a few times. However, Arbor had been in trouble many times, and he was starting to become violent and rebellious towards their captors. Orchid believes Arbor is dead, and is unaware that he was avoxed.

Orchid still loves and visits the flower field. She often goes there seeking the councel of the ghost of Arbor, a hallucination of her brother. She learned from the first time to stay near the trees, and hasn't yet been caught by any hovercrafts. When she's not advertising for her mother, she's taking care of her younger half brother, a spoiled 3 year old who constantly accuses Orchid of things she didn't do.

Hi, I just have one question. What exactly is "average" height and weight? It's best to be specific - actual numbers - when you're talking about these things, or else there's no way to tell. ^^ Post here to bump this thread up when you've fixed it.
