Dezzy has long, shaggy, brown hair. His hair is full of split ends, and is greasy. His eyes are a deep brown with tired bags beneath them. His skin is pale white, which make his lips seem like a dark purple. He has a long scar on his left cheek. It's a dark red, and is always swollen.

Dezzy has a very weak, and scrawny figure. Only weighing 109 lbs. He looks starved. His arms are fragile. His legs are barely strong enough to hold himself up. He is normally covered in from head to toe in bruises, which is about 5'6. His fingernails are bitten, and nasty.

Personality:

For the most part, Dezzy keeps to himself. He is the reject of his year in school. He is quiet and does not know how to stand up for himself. He lets people walk all over him. He can only be himself when he is around his family. He used to be different, back when he had Drew.

Dezzy is shy and awkward around people. When someone talks to him, he fumbles for the right words, trying not to make himself sound any more like a loser than he already is. Through all of this, he has very good grades. Because he has nothing else to do, he buries himself in studies.

One thing Dezzy does like to do is draw. He feels his pictures show something. His family loves to look at them. His family are the only ones to look at them. Even if other people wanted to see his drawings, he wouldn't let them. He doesn't want people to see them.

History:

Dezzy, like many others in district 12, is very poor, but he has it a lot worse. He, lives in probably the smallest house in all the district. his family gets only one meal a day. It's all they can afford. His father works as a miner, like most in district 12, but doesn't get paid enough to take care of himself, his wife, and four kids.

Dezzy cherishes his family, they are the only ones that love him. His father, Bruce, always makes time for him. His mother, Kathryn, will give up her meal if it means that the kids can eat. His younger siblings also all look up to Dezzy. Aly, at 11 years old, is beginning to understand the games, but Brent, and Ryan--the twins-- are only 4 and do not understand yet.

Rarely does anyone in his family get to bathe. Maybe once a week. He knows it's why the other kids hate him so much. Why they bully him. Why they beat him. Everyday. They are mean, they are judging, they are dead to him. The left the bruises. They left the scars. They left him.
