Age: 15
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 7
Appearance:
Robyn has wavy, dark brown hair that falls down past her shoulders. She constantly wears it up as its long length annoys her but she rarely cuts it, for reasons even she is unsure of. Robyn has bright blue eyes, much like her father's and brothers', which contrast her dark hair. Her skin is quite tanned, probably due to the large amount of time that she spends outdoors. Robyn stands at 5'8" so is tall for a girl of her age but is not unusual as height runs throughout her family. Robyn is thin but not ridiculously so. This is due to her family being fairly well-off within her district so there is usually enough food to eat unless something majorly affects their income.
Robyn has been helping to cut timber for her family for three years so is quite muscular and strong compared to other girls of her age. She is also a fast runner due to her height and fitness. Robyn wears denim shorts or jeans all the time and detests skirts and dresses, only wearing them begrudgingly for special occasions. She loves the colour red and all of her few shirts are red. She wears sturdy leather boots and has a jacket passed onto her by an older brother for when the weather is cold. Robyn always wears a pine pendant carved into the shape of a robin by her Uncle.
Personality:
Robyn is incredibly practical which is often helpful in difficult situations but does stop her from dreaming and getting her hopes up. Robyn tends to be very sociable and extraverted and loves spending time with the people that she likes. However, she has a short temper and is quick to snap at people when feeling moody. Also, she judges others quickly and her opinion on people is often hard to change. Robyn is fiercely loyal to those that she loves.
Robyn is an adventurous and curious person and occasionally this curiosity can get her into trouble. She is also very strong-willed and will be determined to do something if she sets her heart on it. As well as being strong-willed, Robyn is also quite stubborn. Much like her family, she can be quite set in her ways.
Robyn is often pessimistic about the future, deciding that it is best not to let herself be disappointed when things don't turn out the right way. This often annoys her family. However, although pessimistic, she is a cheerful girl and likes to make others laugh if she can. Robyn is a bad person to get on the wrong side of and she will always do her upmost to stick up for herself and those that are close to her.
Robyn biggest fear is appearing weak so will keep her emotions to herself. She never cries in public and sometimes suffers with problems instead of telling others about them.
History:
Robyn lives in quite a remote part of District 7 sharing a house with her father; Riley, and her three older brothers; Ash (20), Forrest (18) and Jay (17). The only house nearby is the house next-door which is lived in by her Uncle Farley and his two sons; Turner and Bradley. The two households work together in the family business which is the production of wooden furniture. Robyn, her father and brothers cut down the wood and her Uncle and his sons make the furniture. Robyn often wonders how this arrangement came about.Codeword: odair
Robyn's mother, Lilac, died during childbirth shortly after giving birth to Robyn and as a result Robyn has the middle name Lilac. She is the only one in her family to have a middle name but often thinks of it as a curse rather than a blessing.
Despite having no mother, Robyn had a very happy childhood, as much as she could coming from such a poor family. Robyn grew up to be rather boyish in nature due to growing up with no female influences. She wore her brothers' hand-me-downs and grew to dislike certain things that she thought to be feminine, such as dresses. As she grew from being a child to a teenager, the family business became increasingly successful and her family was now earning enough to live fairly comfortably.
At the age of twelve, Robyn, after much persuasion, was allowed to help her brothers but only by cutting the smaller pieces of timber, which she protested against fiercely. Even now at the age of fifteen, she still isn't allowed to do the massive jobs, like chopping down large trees, much to her annoyance. Robyn believes this is only because she's a girl and constantly complains t her dad that he is being really unfair. The truth is, though Robyn will probably never realise it, is that her father won't let her because he wants to protect her, especially after his wife died. Robyn looks a lot like her mother and he sometimes wishes that she acted more feminine.
As Robyn grew older, she suddenly became increasingly upset by her mother's death. She blames herself for it, believing it was solely her own fault, despite her brothers' best efforts to persuade her otherwise. Her Uncle always said that her mother's death had hardened her more than it had anyone else.
