Appearance:

Russen is a tall(around 5'4, about 88 pounds) pale girl with dark brown-almost black- hair. Her hair is often very straight on its own. It goes down to about her chest She also has pale green eyes and perfectly straight teeth. They aren't the cleanest of teeth though considering she lives in district 11. Russen is rather skinny. She doesn't get a lot to eat but she's still naturally skinny on her own.

Russen also has a long scar above her right eye, along with a matching one on her right arm. People often tease her that her own father killed her mother and tried to kill her. She tries to shrug them off but sometimes it gets to her.

Personality:

Russen is generally shy and doesn't have many friends at school. She often trades several things with older ladies for her, her father and the little cat. She makes a couple friends with them, but their old. Russen doesn't talk a lot and normally keeps to herself. Doing quite activities like braiding flowers and grasses or cooking, whenever shes not at work in the field.

Russen is not very strong(She can easily be tripped or pushed over. ) but is quite quick and smart. She's never used a weapon but knows many edible berries and plants.

Russen is all about generosity. She gives up her families food for some that are even poorer, crippled, old or have to many children.

Russ works up in the trees during harvest season. She always tell them, along with many others when the day is over by giving a small chirp that mockingjay's carry for miles around.

History:

When Russen was younger she had both a sister and mother. Her sister died when she was only ten weeks old (Russ being seven) from lack of nourishment. Her mother had been unable to feed her sister Emily Vyx anymore and they both passed away. Just a couple days apart from each other. All that's left of her mother is a faded journal and the memories of her name...Kristateen Vyx...

Russ's father is kind but people think of him as mean and cruel. Especially the children at school. They laugh and say her father does some of the capitols dirty work in the district. Just because of him hitting her once. He had no reason to hit her, he was just dealing with the stress of their mother and how they would be able to get food.

Her father was nice enough to get her a cat for russens 11th birthday, they named the cat patches. Patches is a sweet little tom that's the center of her life. She takes care of that cat like her father takes care of her. They both gather grasses and dandelions to eat quite often. Sometimes having a bit of meat and fruits hear and there, but the district is normally not like that.
