Age: 14
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 7
Appearance:
With an appearance that can fool anyone, Mist Scorchil has the right kind of body for the person he is. He is skinny, but has enough muscle in his arms to not be a complete stick. He has messy brown hair, reaching down to his neck in a tame punk mullet. He has three bangs covering his forehead, all highlighted with goldenrod. His eyes are a gentle but shining hazel, with dark shadows under his eyes from lack of sleep.Personality:
His eyebrows are notable, thick and a darker brown. He has a rounded jawline, more like a curve than a line. He is tall for his age, 5'11 and he has many scars from a clumsy childhood on his knees and hands. The look on his face is a bored yet willing look, describing his "if I have to do it, I'll do it" personality.
His skin is a pale tan, originally oure tan but losing pigment from the cold winds of District 7. Mist looks skinny but is hiding muscle in those arms, and every now and then you can catch an innocent and happy look from him.
Despite looking bored and downright not entertained, Mist has a burning desire to live live like is was before. Always having customs different to the ones many of Panem's children have, he feels that if one person can live like they should have before the war, he can motivate the rest of the nation to do so. He has a philosopher's view on life, telling his friends that "If I'm ever in the games, I will kill because I have to. Yeah, it's fun when your victim deserves it, but it doesn't mean it's right.". However, Mist does have his childish customs trailing behind him.History:
He tends to be sarcastic, often being the one to call someone out when they mess up by making a joke about it. He is confident about the things he does, often surprising himself if he fails. Mist also lacks sleep sometimes because he's up late imagining things. This habit has worn off since he was 11, but it occurs that he stays up late every now and then from fantasizing.
The child is talented in survival and crafting, often creating little wood items to kill time such as a carving. This originates from his creative mind and a good improvisational instinct. He dislikes careers, due to them being a grim reminder of the bullies who tormented his childhood. He will stop at nothing to cause the careers trouble with an alliance he wants to call the"anti-careers"
He is very calm and collected, standing up for himself and his friends whenever someone poses a challenge to their overall safety or happiness. He can be caring too, having the nerve to completely ditch a plan if it means keeping a comrade safe and/or happy. A sweetheart hidden inside a bored, tired and incompetent looking person.
Mist Scorchil, the newest of Panem's tributes. His grandparents were caught up in the rebellion, sucking Mist and his poor family into the games. However, Mist was a curious child, living most of his youth under an odd lifestyle of quoting things other children didn't understand and having a temper against liars and those who disrespect those who need respect in the first place.Codeword: oDair
His experience with axes originated from a childhood habit of losing his temper. Bullies kept stealing his things behind his back, only to have him find out where they are the hard way. But one day, Mist caught them red handed and in anger he took the pair of scissors they were going to steal from him and threw them like a tomahawk into the wall, creating a small but deep hole. This bought a "weirdo" sort of attention to him, but they didn't know the abuse he was going through. At this moment, Mist knew that there are certain types of people you can trust, and certain types of people you can't. He then started watching the games, and through this he gained a hatred for the careers, picturing them like the "popular kids in school" or the bullies that harassed him so much, earning the heart of a pure anti-career.
His beliefs as an anti-career earned him quite the attention. He'd always lose, fights he got into by himself, but this raised his bravery even more. Every time he fought back with success, he would come home and award himself with some time alone with his parents as he listened to the stories they would tell him. These people who made it possible for him to live made it possible for him to see his right to live. The right to have his own family and to watch his children grow up. Who it would be with and when, is something he has not yet determined.
He began middle school under many rude names, up to the point where he forced his parents to move him to a different school after pulling out a switchblade on a bully, the rebel he was back then. In his new school, he dominated the social ladders with the small, but loud and proud, group of friends he made there. He bought a new kind attention to him, without any rude names or pasts to chase him into another rut. He wasn't power hungry, but he felt at peace in his life. He went on many camping trips with his friends, thus influencing a survivalist side to him after being able to create shelter, light fires, and craft things like pegs to hold up tents. He failed a lot the first times, considering he was still new to this and still makes his errors today. But regardless, Mist is a good camper, just like a District 7 child would be.
As a job, he would work with the typical job known as lumber. He was nothing special but he enjoyed the job, keeping pinecones that caught his eye as a collection. The very first chainsaw he used became his favorite, keeping the chain that wore out and went blunt as a token for the games (he removed the sharp parts and cut it down to half a foot to let it be bought into the games). He pictures the chain as the source of his life as it is today; Blunt but still able to function as it was made to do.
One day, the child of District 7's mayor ate poison berries. Mist saw the boy choking and instantly bought him to a medical center where they took the boy right out of his hands, but not before alerting the mayor that he had just saved his son's life. This managed to slow down the process of the poison berries with treatment, and only caused severe fever but no death thanks to his quick thinking. Mist wasn't anyone special, but he proved he was a good person after all.
Now, he just waits for each reaping day. He ended up being an average kid in his district, a good kid with his flaws and strengths, and a good chance of survival. Mist will be expected to engulf his enemies in the flammable mist that is the embodiment of his will to live, and that very will to live will ignite them. He is a force to be reckoned with in the games, and has potential to either have a heroic victory, or a miserable death. Mist is the one who wants to be a hero in his own way, a hero in the eyes of either a few, or many.
I present to you; Mist Scorchil. The Burning Mist.

He is an anti-career. If an alliance does not yet exist, the name explains it.
