Thinking Writing Says Hears Lyrics
People allow the past to hold them back from what they want. Their regrets weighing down their already weak shoulders. Mocking had a lot of weight on his shoulder already, from all the bets that could have turned wrong or the girls he never got. The biggest weight on his shoulders was Red. Red had one of the worst things happen to him and it was all Mocking's fault. He hadn't found Red in time to save him. He was supposed to be some hero in the books Storm read to Red, but he wasn't. He was just the boy who couldn't save his brother. Regret and Sadness, the feelings Mocking was feeling at the moment.
Mocking had came onto the porch early that morning. THe wind blowing onto his face cooling him. The room he shared with Wess and Stellar had became really hot sometime that morning which woke him up early. The snoring and stuff was the least of his problems. Mocking just got up and put on a pair of gray sweat pants and a plain black T-shirt and made his way to the porch. The sky was a orange color that shone a bit differently to him today. Mocking leaned on the railing on the porch. The breeze swayed through his hair cooling him even more.
Then a noise filled his ears, a noise that sounded like footsteps. Mocking thought back to who really gets up early in the morning. The most logically person to be up was Stellar, so he wouldn't have to run into Mama Jay. Mocking's curiosity got to the better of him and he walked inside the quiet house. The only sound was the soft footsteps and the creaking of boards. Mocking turned the corner to the open kitchen. Mocking was ready to pounce on the unknown person in the kitchen.
The turn of a corner for Mocking was enough for him to begin to pounce like a panther, but he stopped short. He almost attacked the weakest family member just because of his blindness. Mocking backed up and put an arm behind his head, trying to act like nothing happened. Mocking said in a happy voice, "Oh Sorry red. I thought you were Stellar. I was gonna ambush him. So, What are you doing up this early?"
Mocking crossed his arms coolly as he watched his brother. His blind Brother, which Mocking had caused. It was his fault. Always was Mocking's fault. Mocking was the person Mama Jay always thought that broke things, when in reality it was another relative. Mocking sighed and watched the younger brother with content. Mocking was going to help Red. one day.
