Female | Fourteen | District Seven | Bisexual

small, dainty
If Angela were to describe herself, the first word she would use would be petite. She has a thin, narrow frame with little muscle or fat, and stands at a measly 5'2. Her stomach clearly shows her ribs and when she bends forward her spine protrudes from her back in a way that looks almost sickly. Unlike the Capitol fashion-lovers, Angela certainly did not develop this stick thin figure on purpose - this is the result of harsh winters and a low income family. Her arms look as though they could break like a twig, though this is fortunately not the case.
Though her bones may be strong, she isn't. Even though woodcutting is a heavy job and requires a lot of strength, Angela only got the job this year. Because of this, she still has little muscle mass and very weak limbs, particularly in her arms. Her legs, however, do have quite a bit of muscle simply because she is a fast runner, though it probably helps that she doesn't have much weight to carry around with her - only 97 lbs. Her hands are covered in scars and splinters, a result of living in the lumber district.
Angela is extremely pale, and has been likened to a ghost on several occasions. She is so pale that she could probably use her own skin tone as camouflage in a snowy area, taking the phrase 'white as snow' literally. Her skin tone is made even more evident by her hair. A fiery red colour, she has a side fringe that falls across the left side of her face. Her hair falls down to her chest with some layers through it.
Her face is the shape of an oval, and she has a pointed chin. Her eyes are almond shaped and a vivid, dark blue colour. Her eyebrows arch upwards slightly and her eyes are usually widened, which often gives the impression of constant curiosity. Her lips are dark and often curved into a small smile, which forms dimples in her cheeks, which are only rosy when she blushes. A few light freckles are scattered across her cheeks but as they're almost as pale as her skin tone they are fairly hard to see. She also is not immune to spots, but she certainly has seen many teenagers with worse spots than her, so she is thankful for that.
Personality

showing or having knowledge, especially of a high level
Angela is calculating. Her brain is very complex for a fourteen year old, sorting through each possibility and trying to figure out the chances of something happening and which outcome is most likely to happen. She is neither a pessimist nor an optimist - simply a realist. She is incredibly smart simply because she has an excellent memory and finds it easy to find out what is practical and what isn't. This practical way of thinking does mean she doesn't have a very good imagination, but even so she loves books. Their her outlet, her escape, for when her brain needs to relax. Her intelligence also results in her being sneaky and manipulative when she needs to be, though this isn't very often. She is also a good actress and therefore liar - though under pressure, she is terrible at making up lies.
Angela is very strong-willed. She has opinions on everything and has usually thoroughly thought over why she thinks her opinion is correct, and if incredible when it comes to debates. However, she will simply refuse to talk to you about the subject if you are stubborn on your views, or simply in denial - she feels it's impossible to persuade people who simply are ignoring the facts. Along with being strong-willed she is persistent, and will never give up, mostly due to stubbornness. Angela hates to admit failure, which she feels giving up is doing. This is also why she has trouble saying sorry for things very serious, though if she makes a small accident she can say sorry easily.
Though she has a lot opinions, Angela is not one to voice them unless she feels extremely strong about them, and can often come across as shy and outspoken because of this. She's the girl that will sit at the back of the classroom and never raise her hand to answer a question in class - though unlike most, this isn't actually because she is shy or because she doesn't know the answer, it's simply because she couldn't be bothered wasting her energy on something so unimportant. She feels this way about conversations, too, which is why she much prefers awkward silences over awkward conversations about the weather.
Quiet in class and around strangers, it is the complete opposite if you get her angry, though this is usually pretty hard to do. Expect yelling, screaming and maybe some crying. If you get her two angry, then you may want to step away from her as she can get violent - she may look weak, but her stubborn nature steps in once she gets mad, and she will attack, not even stopping to catch her breath.

History
» past
the time before the moment of speaking or writing
Angela was born onto a house that already had three children, though she was the first girl - however, not that last. Her mother was Wendy, and was a full-time housewife, whilst her father worked in the forests cutting down trees that would be later used for the needs of the Capitol. Her three older brothers were Jonathan, who was nine years older, Owen, who was six years older, and Kye, who was two years older. She later gained two more siblings, a boy and a girl. She had a little sister named Lucy who was two years younger than her and a little brother called Tommy who was seven years younger.
With only one parent working and eight mouths to feed, the Wells family soon had to make do on one meal a day, if any. As soon as the children were old enough they were sent to work, first simply bagging the logs and putting them onto the trucks that would drive them away to turn them into paper and the like, and then when they were about ten they would start cutting down trees as they got payed much more for this. The only exceptions to this were Jonathan, who started at eight as they were desperate for the money, and Angela, who started at thirteen, simply because she lacked the upper body strength required for the job. Even her little sister was able to get to work at ten. Lucy was much different than her older sister, taking after her father - broad shouldered and large muscles, and had a masculine look about her, whilst Angela certainly took after her mother, almost the spitting image of her with her fiery red hair, tiny frame and pale complexion.
To say that Angela has very little friends would be a lie - Angela has plenty of friends and talks to many people, however, she has never really had any close friends. Whilst other girls formed little groups and talk among themselves, Angela simply flits from one group to the other, and doesn't socialize much during school, talking mostly to her siblings, particularly Kye, who also has the same mind set and views as her. The two would find a place to sit and could spend hours talking and discussing, and when their opinions differ they would have a large debate on it until they eventually agreed to disagree.
As a middle child in such a large family, Angela got accustomed to not being the centre of attention, and so generally prefers it that way, as she will get embarrassed when she is. She also got used to doing things for herself, especially as she had two younger siblings whom her parents needed to look after when they were especially young and so could not help the seven year old girl. Angela has a very open relationship with her family, and they don't have many secrets.

Other

a person or thing that is different or distinct from one already mentioned or known
Angela is a great artist, has high stamina and is a fast runner, but is hopeless at anything that requires hand-to-hand combat or extreme physical strength, which can make climbing a struggle (though it helps that she doesn't have to carry much weight as she is so light). The face claim for Angela Wells is Julie Kennedy.
The passcode is oDair.
