[/size]I[/font] wipe the blood off my hands as I walk away from the lady who now lays dead on the ground. Her legs were bent in awkward ways, her arms following the pattern. Her face was another story. Her eyes were shut but her mouth was no longer just lips- it had been torn open, her lips peeled back, stapled to her eye lids. Her nose was no longer attached to her face no. It had a new home. Right now it was in my pocket, wrapped up stately in a handkerchief. But it wouldn’t be saying there for long- no. Soon it would be tucked away in a postage envelope and would be on its way to the door of some stranger who knew this woman. I laugh. I was a very creative man, one who thought of plans that would make the skin on peoples arms crawl, but to me? To me it made me smile, it made me feel as though I really was that artist that I tried to be.

I smile as my feet carry me away from my piece of art and away onto the mysterious night that awaited me.

To me, the material beneath my gloved fingertips was beautiful. My own artwork, unlike the ones I couldn't create upon canvas. Instead of gentle strokes I applied slight pressure to bend the dough to my will, if only I could manipulate pencil and paper in such a way. Exhaling momentarily I push back, my gaze shifting about. The night was tranquil, elegant, one might say. Quickly although carefully I wrap my creations in plastic, of course to preserve them. Wiping my hands upon my apron I ever so slowly wandered out the back-door, a black garbage bag clutched firmly within my grasp. The eerie silence of the alleyway was daunting, dressed in but a pink, frilled apron and of course a bow'd dress that I would consider adorable, I move towards the large dumpster glumly, pulling up my pink and white striped stockings momentarily before dumping said bag into the dumpster. I look downwards, making sure my appearance was clean before turning, letting out an ever so quiet sigh at the silence of night.

[/size]T[/font]he night had always been my friend. It has always looked out for me, making sure that I was concealed when I needed to be. All my life I have been taught how to use the things around me- the elements, building, light darkness- to my advantage. I knew how to stay silent, how to remain unseen, in fact I more than knew it, it was my life. Wandering around the streets was not usually just a leisurely stroll for me- no. It was for a reason. Most things I do are for a reason- for good or bad, that’s not really for me to decide.

A sound in the near distance makes me freeze, my body instantly moving into the nearby shadow (almost like a reflex). I strain my ears and hear the sound again. It must be coming from someone only a few feet away. Walking cautiously in the shadows I round the nearest corner, my body concealed from the eyes of on-lookers. It was a girl, her hand clasped tightly around a huge black garbage bag which she was carrying expertly to a huge green bin. I watch as she easily pulls off the lid and tosses the bag into the bin with ease. It was interesting to watch the way different people moved (it was also interesting to see the different organs on the inside of their body too.) the girl dusts herself and I step out of the shadows and wander lazily over to her. “Hey look is that a speck of dirt?” I point at her dress, a smile slipping onto my lip. “Huh just joking,” I add my voice as pleasant as ever.

I heard no pitter-patter of footsteps as the man advanced, almost as if he had trained himself not to be heard. I stared down at my gloved palms momentarily before turning, lifting my chin, staring up at the starless night sky. I always seemed to find a reason to delay my entrance of the place I called home. Usually I'd stand there for half an hour on end, waiting for nothing, simply staring at the sky. The stars that stayed in place. That shone ever so brightly down upon me. Immersed deeply in thought I had not heard the man approach, the simple sound of his voice caused me to jolt and squeal. Gosh, why did it always play out like this? "Hey look, is that a speck of dirt?" Insecurely I begin searching for accused speckle, only to hear his next words while fussing over my apron, "Huh just joking." I couldn't help but giggle myself, I was always a fan of jokes. "U-Uh...What brings you out here so late at night?" I ask quietly in that same withdrawn tone I wore everywhere.

[/size]A[/font] chuckle escapes my lips as I watch the girl frantically check her apron for the non-existent speckle of dirt. It takes her a moment to realise that I had been joking, but when she does her body begins to shake as her shoulders rise and fall in a giggle. My smile widens as I watch her face transform from one of worry to one of amusement. "U-Uh...What brings you out here so late at night?" Her voice is soft and withdrawn as she speaks and I feel a spark of curiosity light itself in the pit of my stomach. Why, why do people do that? Talk in a way that makes them seem so reserved? I have noticed it to many times, and each time I ask the same question.

Shrugging away the though I look at the girl once more my chuckles dying away so that I am staring at her, half my face curled up in a grin. “Why else would one wander the streets at night other than to meet beautiful ladies like yourself.” I drop a sly wink. I have always been one to flirt, always looking for some fun when I can. My leader once told me that if I spent as much time doing my assignments as picking up ladies that I would most likely be the leader. But I just chuckled and punched his shoulder. My dream was never to be the leader- to much responsibility- I wanted to be a roamer, the person I was today.

How could he be so confident yet I so reserved and withdrawn? My porcelain face glimmered with humour, his words as alluring as the moon's clouded gaze. I involuntarily dusted off my apron, yet again, shifting from foot to foot. This man did not make me nervous, infact, he calmed me. The fact I was in a dark alleyway at around eleven PM was the only thing that bothered me, hilariously. All my thoughts washed away as he spoke, in such a calming tone that it made my shoulders slump. “Why else would one wander the streets at night other than to meet beautiful ladies like yourself.” These simple, careless little words causes a pretty little pink sprinkle to stain my cheeks, rather than unattractively spreading across my entire face it served as a blush. I began to stutter, inevitably at that. Gulping down my fear I said a quiet. "I-I...T-thank you, uhm...I--" Instead I look down at my apron, realising that I may or may not look like a mess. Really I looked purrfect.

[/size]A[/font]s soon as the words fall from my lips the girls checks are stained with the blood of a rose. My grin only grows as I watch her get all flustered at my comment. I have always found it easy to talk to the opposite sex, it may be because of the way I was brought up: to be confident, alert and have a way with words. I needed to be confident; I needed to be able to wriggle myself out of unwanted attention that was how I lived and how I have always lived. "I-I...T-thank you, uhm...I--" she stumbles over her words finally giving up and looking down at her little apron. It was kinda cute, to watch her stumble over her words, to watch as she looked away embarrassed, or maybe just too shy to talk back.

I laugh a little at her nervousness, crossing my arms as I lean back against the stone wall my eyes studying the girl once more, waiting for her to reply- but that’s when I realised that she was not going to say anything. “So why are you out here, this late at night? Other than taking your trash out that is,” I add tilting my head to the side slightly.

It was quite strange. How a man could reflect elegance in their own masculine way. He in front of me was no exception, I found myself biting the bottom of my lip and drawing blood at the thought. I only realise my actions as a sharp pain runs throughout my mouth, causing me to jolt in slight shock and dab away the blood. I realise he's still there, staring at me intently and it takes all my self-control not to shy away back into my house. Now wasn't the time to be a nervous wreck, now was the time to be confident for once. The confidence was there, but it dwelled deep inside the pit that I called my stomach. If I delved and reached deep enough I could just barely grasp onto the edges of it and yank it to the surface. I did exactly that, my posture straightening as I instead raised my gaze to eye-level with this man. Watching as he leans against the stone wall with crossed arms it takes me a fair few moments to realise he's chuckling at my nervousness. Oddly, I found myself internally chuckling aswell. Hm. “So why are you out here, this late at night?" I open my mouth, motioning to the garbage bin only to hear him add, Other than taking your trash out that is." I couldn't help but smile, tilting my head ever so slightly, "Well...I-I suppose maybe I was hoping for a conversation rather than just being alone for the rest of the night." My voice waivers in that same cute fashion. But my 'confidence' is there.

The girl seems to stumble over her words- which doesn't surprise me. She was obviously nervous- but what for reason? did I make her feel uncomfortable- I hadn't even said anything that would scare her- I have only complimented her. A frown forms on my face for the briefest moment, as I try to think back to all the things that I have said, but no matter how hard I think, I don't recall saying anything that would have set this girl on edge. It confused me- more like she confused me. Shrugging it away I let a smile slip onto my thin lips once again. She said that she had wandered out here not only to put the rubbish out, but in hopes that conversation would meet her. And she was right, a conversation has meet her, one that must be rather flattering as her checks seem to be permanently flushed. It was interesting, non of the people I have been with have looked at me like this, it was new. "I'm Demitri, by the way," I say breezily, my voice as light as a feather, "and you are?" Maybe if I introduced myself, the girl would feel more at ease, more comfortable in my presence. With a gentle smile I lock eyes with her- hopping that my face is welcoming, and not intimidating. .
