I never really knew how much hatred I could have to one person until this point. "You know, you're really living up to your status. Idiot. Jerk. STupid. Suddenly I feel adrenaline rush through me. He says something to Oerphin, and starts heading away. "Hey! At least I have a broader vocabulary than you, queer." Then he looks behind him. Got his attention.

That suddenly just makes me angry. I don't know why I just do. I just can't take it anymore. I need to attack him. Show him who's boss. "Oerphin, if he means anything to you, I'm sorry." I proceed to punch him with all my might, praying that I hit somewhere good. This loser needs to learn his lesson the hard way.

I"ve already turned away from doing the one thing I didn't want to do because I know what my dad will do if I come home with the evident signs of a fight. I don't want that. Then, almost as suddenly as I look back, I notice the face he gives me, but before I can even comprehend that he's actually coming after me, I reach for my hatchet. Maybe with that in sight, he might back off when I show that I'm not afraid to use it, however, my fingers slip away from the handle.

I find myself dodging his attack, but he misses me so easily. He's barely even close to me. I want to laugh. I begin to laugh, but I stop myself, but not before showing off a grin. "You couldn't hit a birch if you were two inches from it, jerk." I say the words with hatred. With a fire in my voice and I consumate this fight, by attacking back. By swinging my fists hard and fast and with every bit of strength I've got. I hate to see the look on the girl's face, but I didn't throw the first punch.

I was now free to defend myself.

And I pull out my Hatchet from my belt, grinning from ear to ear, crazy from all the rush.

"Prepare to die, Seth. You're gonna get it." I don't care if I look like a psychopath. I just can't stand him anymore. Nothing would make me feel happier than him lying on the clod hard ground. It would be a pleasure, a luxury for me. "Prepare to meet the Grim reaper!"

I push forward with everything that I've got. My mind in a whirl as I take each step to hit Marcus with my force. My might. However, there is this moment that I think I flinch and the suddenly he blocked me. Was I just unprepared to really strike him? Is that why he was able to block me? Was the thought of actually causing harm to him that much for me to deal with that I failed? You shitass. Why not take your hit like you need. Something to calm you down. You must not have gotten punishments as a child, cause I'm starting to think your more uncilivilzed that that pretty girl over there. My mind races with words, but none of them reach my mouth. I'm to much into this fight to talk. My breathing so incredibly fast that I hear Marcus's words after he's said them. Everything is running too fast, except for me.

Then Marcus comes at me. His hatchet in his hand. I realize this just got real. More real than just some boys fighting in front of the school. More than just punches and hits. This was serious. Blades were nothing to play with and now, I"m forced to realize that defending myself was going to be the only way to save myself. Will the girl run? Will the girl try to stop the fight? What if...? Then Marcus advances. The blade comes at me with force. I try to shy away, reaching diligently for my hatchet, but one glance away and I feel this uncertain amount of pain and burn through my leg. I crumple to the ground. My eyes shut with the pain. I dare not look, but I know what he just did was bad. That my dad would have to find my body out here void of life soon. The white blinding pain taking over my body for moments, but I have to get back up cause I know, this fight with Marcus isn't over. He wasn't out for a boyhood fight. He was out to kill me.

I roll over with so much pain, and see how my leg isn't a whole anymore. I feel the hot liquid drip from my eyes, but I don't declare them tears. It's adrenaline. I find myself somehow back up on my foot. Unsteady. My face pale with a cold feeling. I find the hatchet somehow, and I lunge out for Marcus unable to think.

As I look to the girl for a split second, I feel a sting in the back of my head. It doesn't hurt that bad.... I guess. "That all you got? That was shit!" I feel uplifted from those words for unknown reasons. I didn't even know I could go higher. But I did. I grip my hatchet, and sing with all my might. "It was nice knowing you."

I lunged out at Marcus, my body numb with pain. THere's so many moments of uncertainty now that I can't concentrate. I can only think to defend myself. To hurry up and lay him down somehow so he won't try to hurt me again. There is so many thoughts running through my head. My mom. My dad. My little sister. How are they going to react when they find me? Half a leg missing? Half of my life taken away from me at just fourteen? Will I be able to survive this? Will I?

I find myself staring at Marcus when the blade rips a line in his head. It's something. I'm aiming to take him down. To show him that I'm not playing and that I"m fighting back, but so many things are going through me. That for once, I"m still able to defend myself, but there's hardly any need. He missed me again. Blinded by rage, his attacks are futile. I see these dots in front of my eyes, but I blink them away hastily. I can't give up now. Not after what he just done to me. The blood leaving me so quickly, that I know I won't have much time before I pass out or worse. Won't the girl help me? Will the girl do something or will she run?

I have no choise. I take my life and throw everything I've got into this one hit, cause I'm sure it'll be the last time I stand up straight. I lerch forward, falling in the process, but the hatchet swings in his direction.

So I was getting pretty annoyed. I turn that annoyance into more strength and adrenaline so I could actually fight. I can't wait to beat your sorry little ass, Seth. I didn't want to say it out loud for the fear of an outburst that could severely hurt me. I don't want the tides to turn.

Without even thinking, the next thing I knew I was rushing towards him, my hatchet raised to attack. I jump into the air and swing downwards towards Seth, praying that I hit and do a lot of damage to him. Please let him learn this annoying brat learn his place in the world.

There was only so much I could do. I felt absolutely weakened. My leg has since become numb where my foot was suppose to be, and to make matters worse, I felt as though I couldn't stand any longer. The dots were forming fast in front of my eyes, but with every blink, they kept staying. I noticed that I gave him yet another cut but on his calf this time. I wish he knew what it felt like to feel my pain. To know that at any moment could be my last, but I refuse to give up. I live in the moment. I live for myself. I need to do what I have to in order to protect myself. As I lay on the ground on my knee and two hands, I feel like I want to pass out. I wish my dad was near. I wish I had gone to work at this rate. Would they even come looking for me this time? Would it be too late?

"DAMNIT...." I scream out, but as I look up I see Marcus come at me again, and once again, I feel the sting of his blade. I flinch, but the cut only damages my head. We're even. He cuts my leg. I cut his. I cut his head, he cuts mine. We're playing a game of ditto. I want my last attack to be the finale. I want this over. I want to call out for help, but would that be cowardice of me? Would that be wrong? IS it? I don't hesitate. AS soon as he cuts my head, the pain is what makes me move. My blade swings outward. I only hope he feels the pain that he has given me.

Someone is looking after me obviously because I get the opening I need when he missed and bring my fist quickly to meet with his body. To end this. I don't know where I hit him, but it takes all I got to put my remaining strength into this one final moment.

I take a deep breath, and throw down one of the hatchets. I grip onto the one I have now. I take another deep breath. Dear Ripread, please help me. I swing. Using all the remaining strength I had, I used it in this swing. I don't care about anything. Nothing really matters at all.

The only thing that I manage to do is push him backwards and I simply curse myself, but it gives me the space I need to breath. It is the most horrible luck. I have no weapon. No strength. There's so much blood everywhere, both mine and his. I can't take it anymore. I can't seem to really pay attention anymore. I wipe my eyes. Force them open.

The next few moments is crucial. He damns me then throws one of the hatchets down. My luck! My goal. All I need to do is reach the hatchet and the moment that I aim to go at it, crawling on the ground because I can't get up, he swings. I don't try to dodge. I just let it happen, and the blade hits my neck. The blood comes fast to the surface, but it's not as bad as I was expecting. He could have taken my head. I crawl faster at this moment, and my fingers finally reach the hilt of the hatchet, and the moment I've got it in my hands, I throw it at him once again. I"m done. I let my body relax. I let my body fall under a spell of complete takeover. I no longer move, but I can only hope that Marcus leaves me alone. Leaves me to my fate.
