WHY: because I didn't get Gypsy? because it is a Chelsey Plot? Because I want more D3's? Because I want him. He is awesome he is cool and I like the sound of him. Plus I want more characters and I want him.

HOW YOU SEE THE CHARACTER/HOW YOU GONNA WRITE THE CHARACTER: Everyone underestimates him. When truly this boy is remarkably talented. He has skills in every area including the bedroom he knows how to make money, he knows what makes people tick. He can use not only words, but his brute strength to twist people and manipulate him. Wealth and power aren't the only reasons why he gets away with everything he does. He gets away because he can, he gets away because he knows how to make people listen and do as he says. He is smart, he is flirty and strong. he has an iron heart, no amount of flattery will rock him. The boy grew up away from everyone else, no one wanted to be around the 'adopted' boy, looking too strangely like his father they opted to shun him, let the mother know that they hated him as much as she did.

He got reckless. With no need to be like the rest of them he let it all slide. he found no need to be all high and mighty, to be a good boy. Besides Matthias wanted to be a rebel, it was part of him, just as his father was. He needed to feel reckless and daring plans fall to pieces, he needed to feel strong and creative, to have the ability to get out of a situation with no plan at all. Strangely he got into the habit of letting himself destroy his own plans and half the time he is caught because he wants to be caught. Matthias is not a boy that makes mistakes. Mistakes come to him because he does them on purpose. He is oh so very smart, people just don't know it.

WHY: Because she is perfect

HOW YOU SEE THE CHARACTER/HOW YOU GONNA WRITE THE CHARACTER: Psychopathic personality - a condition marked by dishonesty, manipulativeness, and an absence of guilt and empathy - also known as the definition of Delilah Mercury. She is beautiful, she is wealthy, and she is dangerous. Luxury and perfection are her entire life. Everything she wants must be hers, and everything that's hers must be protected at all costs. Problem is, there is never enough to satisfy this girl. What could she possibly want, you ask? Affection. Praise. To be reminded of how picture perfect she is. "You're so rich and beautiful, Delilah!" Delightful Delilah, such a lie. A performance is the best way to meet her goals. Act like a delicate damsel in distress, take on the identity of a sweet girl who actually cares (ha! as if the selfish monster could love anybody but herself). Half of who she is one enormous compilation of lies, while the rest of her is a passionless monster only sworn enemies should witness - enemies being anybody who refuses to comply to her demands, and those who refuse to fall under her spell.

Delilah is the spoiled type of girl that just doesn't like to do dirty work. That's what servants are for, right? The selfish girl refuses to even lift a fingernail - not when she can manipulate others into doing her work for her. However, in such few cases where an enemy needs to be punished, if someone could not be hired, well - Delilah was not afraid of finishing the job herself. Very rarely do such drastic measures need to be used; after all, she is quite talented at what she does. It's almost a hobby, lying and manipulating to bask in the power and riches while watching others squirm for the same. Guilt is not a term she's familiar with, and fear is nothing to be concerned about, for the only thing for Delilah to fear is losing her power and beauty. A word of advice: never touch the princess. There is a nasty price to pay for tainting such "beauty" - or so she will claim. As for siblings and parents, she cares little for them. Her father's death was a temporary setback in achieving satisfaction, seeing as how she loved to use her charms against him, but soon after the funeral and after a few adjustments were made all was well, and he is well out of her mind nowadays.

WHY: Gosh, where to start?! He's a twin, he's been altered by his horrible past so that now he's a careful, overly realistic boy. There was a time where Laurence was happy and carefree, but after his father's suicide this all smashed to pieces. Now every decision he makes is carefully planned and he takes no chances. The light's gone out of the world and now all he can see is how dark everything around him really is. His innocence has been lost, and this exactly the type of character I love to write. <3
HOW YOU SEE THE CHARACTER/HOW YOU GONNA WRITE THE CHARACTER: I'm planning on writing him a bit sardonically and a little darkly. he'll make a lot of remarks about ho things used to seem so pure and amazing, but when his father died it illuminated how horrible the world really is. He might sort of scorn his twin for not seeing the world as it really is, and he'll definitely be a little angry at the world. But deep underneath the anger and sarcasm, he's feels overwhelmingly sad. Sad that he no longer can look at his surroundings and smile, sad that he's no longer naive enough to be happy in the screwed up world he lives in, and secretly he wishes that he could go back to that. But if he's learned anything, it's that wishes never come true. Not anymore, anyway.

WHY: The stark contrast between Laurence and Lestia is going to be really interesting to delve into, and I think that he would just be so fun to try to get out of his shell. It would take a really long time to do that though, since he's been scarred. Also, I'm a twin and from my experience twins either love each other or hate each other (luckily, I hit the jackpot with my twin :D) and I think that their relationship is rocky but always there for each other, although it would also be cool to see them split for a few weeks.

So Laurence always looked up to his father because he seemed invincible. Never mind the home life, people revered Otis like a god, bowing down to him mostly because they were poor and were begging but bowing nonetheless and whispering praise (and ugly rumors) across the district.

Laurence, the calm one, the quiet one, the one that never stood up to the rest, was always treated very harshly. Otis' mantra was that only the strong survive, and Laurence worked tirelessly everyday to be on par with the others. Maybe he wasn't the smartest, nor the fastest, nor the most charismatic, but he had the most ambition and his work ethic was surpassed by few. If he could be like his father, Laurence thought, he could do anything.

Of course, Otis was always very impulsive and a quick thinker, making quick money on somewhat-shady business deals, but Laurence tried to see past that, at the future.

Yet when Otis died, Laurence's world turned upside down. His father had killed himself because he was unhappy, unfulfilled. Perhaps following his footsteps would not lead to the success he once wished for. He began to calculate everything he did, from the clothes he put on to what he was going to study when-where and how. He retraced his roots and tried to change everything about himself, for this was the way the world truly worked now, not the way his father had strutted down the promenade without a care in the world.

He's trying to beckon Lestia to his worldview, to show her that life isn't just a game, that it will hurt when you fall. And he can't let Lestia or any of his family members or himself fall down anymore.

He's very paranoid, very exacting and easily flustered. He's afraid of stepping beyond the box he's made for himself, even though he sees all the benefits of continuing his prior way of existence. The only way now is up.

HELLO EVERYONE. Sorry for putting this plot on the back burner for a while, but I have finally finished Lestia and so I think it's time we finally began a Mercury Thread. I'm going to send a PM to everybody letting them know that this plot is active again, and I'll probably get the thread going in a few weeks time from now. If anyone has any ideas for the first thread, I'd love to hear them! \o/
