D7 // {Hood}lums

Hokay, so, I have offered them before, and now that they're approaching reaping age I figured people might be a little more interested in the second generation Hoodlums — Alexander Hood and Owen Rook's little siblings.

Ofc their numbers dwindling pretty awfully, so I've only got three to offer. Names are part of the Hood-canon and therefore are non-negotiable, sorry. So here's kind of a summary of their ish in past while:

> Their mother (by the name of Elaine Cornwall) is a massive whore, so it's unlikely that any of the six of them had the same father
> There were six of them originally: Alex Hood, Phoebe Lionel, Owen Rook; and then after a four-year break, Jason Knight, Ellie Bishop, and Reed King.
> They scraped by on their mother's hookermoney, but there were six of them, so they were always broke as fuck
> Alex and Phoebe took out crapheaps of tessera and took care of the kids as best they could, but no one really wanted to hire little kids
> Alex got sick and stayed sick for like a year and then he died
> Phoebe wrote her name on his death certificate instead, reasoning that she'd be more likely to find work as sixteen-year-old boy than as a fourteen-year-old girl, and adopted the identity of Alexander Hood (deciding not to take on his nickname out of respect and for the sake of distinction)
> She worked in a sawmill, Owen Rook tended the house, everything was pretty okay
> Fearing the neighbors would discover Alexander's secret, she moved from the poor part of the district to the poorer part of the district into her mother's on-again-off-again's house
> The drunken on-again-off-again tried to take food from the littlest hoodling, and Alexander was like 'hell no bitch' so they got into a fistfight and the on-again-off-again kind of tripped into the fire a little oops
> everything was awesome
> Alexander got reaped as District 7's male oops
> Hunger Games ahhh
> Bros woooohooooo
> Mander yaaaay

> Owen Rook inherits responsibility for the younger hoodlums
> He immediately moves them out of their mother's home and into a community home because he's not about to put up with that ish
> it's not like he doesn't work, he just doesn't want to work 60 hour weeks like Alexander
> Mace gave Owen the Bros' tokens to sell during the victory tour but Owen kept them, unable to find a seller
> I don't know if that's relevant
> So things were ok for a few years
> then Owen got reaped oops
> Owen went and died and shit
> There wasn't really a distinct head-of-Hood-house after that, just the three of them trying to stick together and also do their own thing.

Okay so here are the Hoodlums up for grabs. I may or may not take one for myself. Note that the ages are the 64th HG ages and they MUST be aged up for each subsequent Games. MUST.

Jason Josef Knight - 14
Jason is kind of a shithead. He's hot-headed, arrogant, and not too terribly bright; he's angry at the world and lets that get in the way of his decision-making, so he can be kind of erratic and irrational. He enjoys being contrary for the sake of being contrary.

Eleanor "Ellie" Rose Bishop - 13
Pretty much Jason's opposite, Ellie is cool, calm, and collected more often than not. She deals with things logically, and for this reason tends to consider herself superior to those around her — whether this is accurate or not, it doesn't earn her many friends. She tries to keep quiet, but genuinely can't help sticking her nose into other peoples' business if they need to be corrected or set straight, and she loves to show off her considerable intellect.

Orville Reed King - 11
The youngest child in a den of kids who were doomed to live miserable lives and then die, Reed has always been the shy caboose. There is something a little bit off about him — maybe it's the way he always looks so haunted. I don't actually have much for Reed.

Who you want: Ellie!

How you see them/how you'd play them: Since the repeated deaths of her elder siblings Ellie's become even more blunt and know-it-all-esque, which has made her friend count dwindle even more. This bothers her more than she likes to admit; she feels she needs someone outside of home to distract her from the horrors of what's been happening to her family, but can't seem to connect to anyone. As a result, she's kept her nose stuck in books: nonfiction, usually, because she can't help dreading the inevitable result of getting lost in a story: crashing back down to a much less desirable reality.

Plot ideas maybe?: Immense amounts of angst, something involving a visit from Mace yes I'm offering you up Kay, idk but there's plenty of potential

[/b] Orville Reed King

How you see them/how you'd play them: Orville is good, but Orville is strange. There's just no denying that this is a weird little boy (nowhere near adolescence, despite his age). He talks in circles sometimes, stutters others. People intimidate him. People took his brother and his sister-brother from him. People are dangerous. And yet, what would life be without them? An absent mother and equally fucked up siblings? Orville knows this and struggles with it. He has particular trouble putting his feelings into words. Thus he talked abstractly, in metaphors that hardly anyone understands. Like a sheaf of bark from an oak, he might say. Or, as green as a blade of grass. He is an old soul, wise and somber beyond his age. But can you really blame him, after watching two of his siblings march through the arena?

Plot ideas maybe?: Well I mean, threading with Ellie. Also, Mace did drop off the tokens so there could be some residual feels there. I'm down with that. Otherwise, pray not to be reaped but actually to be reaped yes plz?. I could see Orville keeping his head down at home, but being quite good at school and a hard worker. He'd have to work to earn some extra money, right...? Or do they rely solely on tesserae?

Hey hey okay. This is just me stopping by to say that if there's any way for Aesop's token to find its way back to his sister in D6 or for it to wind up in the Capitol and the hands of B-sop Cray Cray Fangirl Albatross... then I would still be really excited about that. Omg. I don't suppose B-sop could have heard a rumor that the Hoods have all those tokens laying around and be allowed to make a trip to D7 to buy them? Because he only wants the one, but in theory he's part of a lulzy Capitolite secret society obsessed with becoming past Tributes, so he certainly knows buyers for the other tokens. I mean, seriously. Idk if that would even be allowed, but I feel like it would be hilarious. Random Capitolite walking around their kitchen, taking mental notes, wondering if this is what the Bloom home looks like and making plans to remodel his swanky loft back home to a District shabby chic decor. Blatantly talking about Alexander and Owen's deaths like those were some of the best moments of his life. Especially Alexander. OH EM GEE I JUST LOVED THE BROS SO MUCH... HEY BRO, LET'S HUG IT OUT. PLEASE. JUST HOLD ME. I CAN'T HANDLE ALL THESE FANGIRL FEELINGS BY MYSELF. EEEEEEEEEEEE.

I also have one, two, three, four D7s, geez louise, and would gladly throw any of them into a bit of plotting with this awesome family at any time. Just for the record.
