First Choice: Felix Finch

Second Choice: I guess Jasper, but I'm just gonna talk about Felix up in hurr.

Character Ideas: So, Felix is like, totes a flower child. Like, hates violence and all things evil. So like, kinda awks with Edwin cause he sees the potential for him to rocket off the edge of the boat and blast a hole in it and just take them all down with him. He like thinks Jasper is super cool cause he seems more relaxed and a bit of a dreamer like him and this just sounds wrong to me. Let me start somewhere else.

Monsters. So like, growing up, he had night terrors about monsters and how they would eat him and he was just genuinely scared to the point where he'd like pee himself and then have to cuddle with his parents and they'd make everything better. His dad once told him when he started to get a little older that monsters were really just like people, but a little misunderstood. Felix took this to heart. Instead of trying just to see the good in everyone, as is his automatic reaction with his gentle heart, he also tries to see the monsters inside everyone, including himself. He sees his own monster as a recluse, a thing that shuts itself away and refuses to be found by anyone or anything. It's because of this barrier that he finds it hard to connect with the others, even though he does find companionship and love within the walls of their ship. He tries his best to connect, but instead of being able to think in ideas and pathways, he sees equations and astronomy-figured pathways of silver light leading his way towards the horizon instead of into the hearts of his shipmates. He wishes he connected to them more. He sees Jasper and Edwin's friendship and is jealous of it because, while he has his role on the ship, he questions what his role is in their hearts and in the world.

So like, because of all of this, he's constantly pondering his own existence and being deep and philosophical. Not to mention he was like mad tight with his sister and now that she's gone he's also come to question the existence of a god/divine being and why that being must be cruel because why else would they take her away so soon, why else would his parents be gone, why else would he always feel so lost and alone among the high seas with only the mythical creatures swimming in the ocean beside him as his friends and his shipmates playing pirate. Felix genuinely wants to venture out into the horizon in order to find purpose and meaning in life and really he just wants to feel found.


Plot Ideas: Ele and I were talking earlier and like y'know how the one Sparrow girl keeps a poetry book? Yeah, well, how about she loses it and then Felix finds it and he just angsts over the pages and is just like "IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL I SEE MEANING IN LIFE" and then like maybe the Sparrows will embark on a raid to retrieve it and just take Felix with them because YOLO and 'yer a scallywag who be stealin' mah sistar's treasure?' and like 'wat no let me out wat is this I see your monster stahp it' and like yeah.

Faceclaim: I HAVE AN IDEA. I'm messaging him to you. He's asian. I'm sorry. If you'd rather not asian, I have maybe someone for that too.

Character Ideas: Stepping too far over the line is always fun for trauma and general feels, but I like the idea of Henry getting too big for his boots. Maybe tackling a task that's too much for him or speaking out of line. I'd love him to get cast away accidentally or something traumatic to stab at his happy-go-lucky attitude ^_^
Plot Ideas: W-Wasn't that the same as character ideas? Oh, you mean on a broader scale? For everyone?
Well, I'm sure lots of Sparrow/Finch rivalry is set in stone, but it'd be great to kidnap a Sparrow, or have a Finch abducted as a vice versa. Interrogation and holding them prisoner, perhaps with a love angle - One of the Sparrows falls in love with the Finch prisoner? idek.
Faceclaim: Faceclaims are always chopping and changing with me - If there's a definite you want, I'm cool with it, but if I have choice, god help you, I'm going to be more fickle than frankie fickle - winner of the most fickle fickle award for fickleness five years running.

Character Ideas: While growing up, Henry was raised by his grandmother. I'm thinking his grandmother could have been sick most of the time, and never really spent too much time with Henry as he got older. Because of this, he never really had a close friend and doesn't exactly know boundaries as well as he should. To him, a mean prank is really just a silly joke. It's his way of telling someone he likes/respects them, but he was never keen on showing emotions like that, mainly because he never got too close with anyone. Henry is very youthful, and likes acting/being brave, funny, and silly. Whenever he can look like a hero, he does. Whenever he can crack a joke, he takes advantage of that. But sometimes he can get too silly causing the elders to get pissed off at him, but he'll be the type that can't stop laughing. He used to make his grandmother read Robin Hood to him every night. It grew on him, and he's a strong believer of giving back to the poor and getting what you deserve and yada yada yada. Also, you say that these boys hate the Sparrow sisters, but I could kind of see Henry trying to impress them at every single second. But also, he would lie and say girls are gross, they have cooties, etc. [[OKAY HE'S A TWIN AND WHEN HE WAS IN THE ORPHANAGE HE LEFT HIS TWIN THERE OKAY? Okay please Clover, it's a perfect idea trust me. Like you know maybe that's also why Henry doesn't show emotions like respect and such because he knows he doesn't deserve any. Every day when he sees the shore he regrets leaving his twin behind and he's ashamed of himself. He wants to be strong for his other half because he wasn't strong when it mattered. Some of his personality might change if you accept this idea.]]

Updated Edwin and Charlie's histories.
Basically they are actually siblings and Edwin's parents sold Charlie to their childless fisherman friends when she was very young and made them swear never to tell her the truth. When they died in the shipwreck, the adoptive parents decided to tell Charlie the truth, and she ran away, refusing to come home. She wound up in the orphanage, disgusted that the people she trusted had bought her and never told her. Yayayaya. Siblings. Ok bye.

Character Ideas: I see Henry as a kid who is very free-spirited and wild. He has wild imaginations about swinging on a rope and sword fighting with the Sparrow sisters bad guys and wining. He always acts like the hero but ends up messing up and or getting into a very very serious mess, in which Jasper has to help him out. He would be very childish and head-strong. Maybe he would be hurting in the inside because of losing his grandmother, so he creates this very different persona, his kind of yolo themed sheild that makes him impenetrable to anything life has to throw at him. IDEK what I'm saying but bare with me pls.

Sometimes smug and head-strong, he only really means to do good, that's why he is protective to Charlie, aside from the fact that she is a girl, he protects her because he feels like it's his duty. Maybe he could have ADHD? That's why he couldn't stay still? He knows nothing about how to work a ship so I see him getting tangled in rope, upsidedown and they would try to get him down. He would speak his mind not caring what others would say. Doesn't know what to say at a certain moment, and sometimes he talks about random things with people. Is very out going and friendly.

Plot Ideas: Getting tangled in ropes and Edwin trying to help him out. Asking Jasper to improve his fighting skills. Maybe a thread with Charlie about his over protectiveness. A HUGE PIRATE FIGHT, ending up to him getting kidnapped by the Sparrow sisters. And more...

Character Ideas: Once upon a time there was a hero. No one could see that this man was a hero - not yet - but soon they would see. Soon they would discover that this boy would become more famous than any former Victor of Panem and would ultimately save humanity while doing it.

This boy didn't fit in. He wasn't like everyone else. He worked as hard as he could to prove his worth, but still everything he tried he messed up. Now this may not sound like a hero, but what no one knew was that he had a destiny. This boy was destined to become the savior of all things good. He may have failed at Career training, fishing, and everything else that required great physical strength, but he was the most cunning of everyone.

He lived with his grandmother, who, ill as she was, still made time to sew him outfits that a hero might have worn. Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Prince Charming - that little boy could be whoever he wanted to be. He fought the bad guys on the beach at night - shot arrows, shot guns, swung swords - and let's not forget his dreams of saving all damsels in distress. No adventure was too big for this little boy, not one thing to dangerous, nothing would make him afraid. Because that's how heroes are - never afraid. And if they are they hide it.

When the boys grandmother died, he was afraid. Afraid of the people in the streets, afraid of what was going to happen now that he had no one, afraid that no more costumes would be made and afraid that no more stories would be told. But he made sure not show it as he entered an orphanage the next day. The 3 years he spent in that orphanage were uneventful, his days filled with reading the stories his mother always told him and his nights spent sneaking out and hunting for something that might help him achieve heroism. And when he didn't sneak out at night, he hid under his covers and wrote his own stories - the story where the boy who gets picked on at school for wearing a cape and mask, and gets beat up when he tries to jump in with the careers, and gets laughed at by all the pretty girls, and has no family, money, or real home gets to be the hero. Because true heroes are made from nothing - and this boy truly thought he was a nothing.

That was until the adventure of a lifetime was placed right in his hands. The Red Star. It wasn't only the escape to a better place where you weren't laughed at all the time, it was also a chance. A chance for adventure. A chance to become the hero no one could see. And although the first few weeks at sea were rough for he and his brothers, the boy knew he couldn't go back to land. He couldn't go back to that place where everyone only saw him as a freak who believed in fables and fariytales and that if you were the Career in training, you always won. The Red Star was the boat on the way to glory - it was the key to achieving his dream.

This boy's name was Henry Finch. And with his orphanage brothers (and sister), he fights for justice - for the greater good of all in Panem (even the Career bullies and laughing pretty girls back home who doubted him.) And the only way to prove he can be a hero and save the seas is by defeating the greatest villain on the high seas - The Sparrow Sisters.

Sum him up: socially awkward (to the point and not understanding what a situation calls for), cares about everyone who isn't villainous, misses mommy and grammy D:, writes and reads about Robin Hood and Peter Pan and all those wonderful guys, and loves swishing swords around <33

Plot Ideas: Oh you know, Charlie always telling him to come be a hero when she needs something done and blah, blah, blah. SPARROW CAPTURES FINCH AND KEEPS HOSTAGE and yes shipping!angst amongst that even though they want to kill each other xD Also, major shipwreck should happen sometime because seriously The Red Star can be rebuilt into The Blue Moon fkjdaskfj No idea what I was typing up there but yeah ^^
