Name: Dalton Shears
Age: 22
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 2
Appearance:
The well kept boy is pretty ordinary when it comes to his body. He is the boring height of 5'11 weighing in at an even 165 pounds. No spectacular upper body, but he is fairly toned in the arms and abs.
you'll make eye contact with Dalton in the crowded town square, but only for a few seconds. It's like he looks through you instead of at you. He flips the hair out of his eyes and his eyes drop down to the floor before scanning you up and down. His eyes, they are brown, very brown. you didn't mean to notice such specific things about him but now his image is stuck in your head. You'll sneak another look at him and you notice his hair matches his eyes and he isn't very tan, he is pale almost matching the white dress shirt he is wearing. His tie is lazily untied and his beanie hangs off his head. who wears a beanie with dress clothes?
The kids smooth hands move around to help him express whatever point he is making. Smooth hands.. who in this district has smooth hands, with most of the men working in stone mines his hands are a rarity even women work hard enough to develop large callouses on their hands. It's obvious from his lack of muscle he didn't grow up training as a career for the games. So what does he do?
You look up again and he is gone, you look at empty space where he just was. You can still picture him there, forever etched into your brain.

The crowded town square happens to be in your path again, you stop and stare at an empty spot, that’s where he stood. Of course you know him a little bit now. He is no longer the boy etched in your brain because your brain convinced you to find him, and find him you did.History:
Describing his personality was like finding water in an ocean, he isn't out to hide anything from you and after a single conversation you will have formed an accurate description of him in your head.
You find his personality quite unfortunate. He is so sarcastic, and not in the way that will make you laugh, in the way that will cause you to grit your teeth and hold yourself back from slapping him in the face. He doesn't care about anyone but himself always putting his needs first. You see him with different girls all the time. You're best guess says none of them know about each other, and he isn't the best boyfriend.
What really hurts you is how condescending he can be, you are all below him in his eyes. You can tell by the way his eyes shift when he changes from looking at a friend to you. When you speak its as if he is just waiting for you to finish so he can go on.
On the other hand Dalton achieved a complete one 180 with you the second time you met. He offered to take grab some food with you and you both talked and laughed and liked the same things. Funny how you fell for him again that quickly. Since then you have managed to never see him again, whether that’s a coincidence or some clever planning on his part you aren't sure. All the negative qualities you hated about him were gone, its like he read your mind.
...
Finally after months there he is in the town square, you walk by him pretending you are off to do something useful, you say hello to him and he raises an eyebrow at you before giving a tentative greeting. He is looking down at you suddenly a girl approaches him from the other direction and wraps him up in a hug. Crushed you just walk the other directions, you feel his gaze wander off of you as you sink back into the crowd, he didn't attempt to stop you.
You sum the entire experience up quickly in your head. asshole.
How does someone become an asshole?Codeword: Odair
It must begin at childhood.
Dalton was born as the first child into a pair of wealthy parents. They lived in the wealthier area of 2, there was always enough and more for his family. Dalton has never really known anything but having what he wants when he wants it. Being an only child with busy parents that don't have time for him he did a lot of growing up based on what he saw. Not to mention he was spoiled and still is to this day.
His relationship with his parents developed that way, they weren't around so they bought him things to make up for it. Dalton's true relationships were with local store owners and other kids around the area. Dalton was often poorly influenced as a child and a teenager. Drugs became a nightly thing for him and he didn't care much for school to begin with.
Dalton had the common sense to stay away from hard drugs that would completely ruin his life but marijuana influenced his life style heavily. He goes out to parties and gets wasted in his free time, which is all the time. Still living with, but rarely seeing his parents meant Dalton wouldn't need a job as long as his parents had them, and with a volunteer coming out every year the Hunger Games were never a worry to him. He even watched them every year and bet on the winner.
Indeed Dalton lived his life like he belonged in the Capitol, and he knew it. He didn't share the discontent of the condition of the districts because is never affected him. He didn't hate the capitol either, he had a respect for the capitolites because he envied them, living the way he did was normal there. Dalton's only real life goal was to move to the Capitol somehow eventually, but he never put in any effort to make it happen. In his parents house is where he'll be until he aspires to actually do something, which he most likely won't.
