Aging

Hey again! I have another question. Do characters age? Because I heard that somewhere in between the end of a Hunger Games and the start of the next one is a new year. That's how people judge their character's pregnancy times, but do characters age the same way? Do they even age or are the forever the age you assigned them? And if so, can you please try to explain to me how they age.

The character ageing system is purely up to choice. You don't have to age your characters. Most people, in fact, never age them at all. I have characters that I have had ever since I joined that are still the same age as when I first made them. That is with the exception of victors who must age their character every games. This is because it would screw up the timeline of the site if you had a 14 year old victor that was still 14 in five years time. Seeing as the victors are in the spotlight all the time and are continually used they have to be aged. The way it works is that ever game counts as one site year. So in the span of one year our time the site will go through three years, usually. People judge things like pregnancy generally on the games as they constitute to one year.

But also, if you're continually submitting your character to the Games, then do you have to age them or can you just submit say, a fourteen year old until they're picked and win and when the win they have to age? If they die, then it doesn't matter. But each reaping do they still get reaped if they're staying that age?

You can keep them the same age until they win! It doesn't matter, unless for plot purposes etc. You don't have to age them, not even for the reaping every single time.
