Personality:
(If he gets re-claimed I'll remove it)
Zero was a reasonably tall at 5ft 8 and weighed 129 lb, a healthy weight for someone his height; however it was a slim and not very muscular size that wasn’t so common in District 2. Zero had a small frame; his shoulders were not broad but looked as though they had much growing to be done. His arms were thin, not from mal-nourishment but nature, he was not a strong boy, and the muscles were lean rather than large and obvious. His torso was healthy and fit he had a toned stomach rather than that of a weak upper body, or abs and muscles, Zero had a toned chest and stomach.
His legs held a small amount of muscle from day to day life such as walking and work duties, again, nothing noticeable or incredibly strong that it would be worth mentioning.
Zero had a pallor complexion, one that came from weeks inside rather than in the sun, his skin was weak and took on damage from the heat quite easily, he could blister from too much sun exposure, or develop breathing problems similar to that of asthma sufferers. His hair was a light brown-fawn shade that was cut short to the nape of his neck but remained thick atop his head, a slight fringe covered his forehead which held the large scar from an operation when he was born, it was a sight to be seen, a pure white and pink line from the middle of his forehead that cut down to just above his brow and curled around to his right temple in colours that almost resembled that of a candy cane or barbers sign, in that it alternated in colour. The scar wasn’t clean; rather it wasn’t smooth in its appearance. Trouble healing meant that in places it had jagged, and there were bumps in places the incision was hurried to stitch back up taking on a more grotesque look.
Zero’s eyes were large and were a deep sapphire blue surrounded by light brown lashes, that were long, effeminating his sharp features. His mouth was small and his top lip thinner than the bottom, creating a small unbalance in his features.
His teeth were straight and clean yet seemed quite big for his mouth, or maybe that was just the fact that he seemed too small to have adult teeth. Zero’s nose was on the smaller size, and had a curved slope. His chin was rounded rather than pointed and made him look more like a boy than a man.
Zero often wears clothes used when in training. Loose fitting jogging bottoms and a vest or t-shirt covered by a large hoodie. When not training or working, Zero wears colours in a dark green, usually a button up shirt with short sleeves and tight fitting trousers that flatter his slim frame.
Zero is a selfish person, and he knows this as well as anyone else, he doesn't try to hide the fact. He loves games, mind games most of all and hates to lose, so much so he’d go to extreme lengths to win, the Hunger Games seem like his perfect game, and like true careers he would find it an honour to be chosen for the reaping.History:
He never lies, well, he never tells whole truths either, as manipulative as his actions, Zero uses his words to strain truths until they are honest, but incredibly deceiving.
He finds joy in seeing others struggle against his games, and in this way he is quite sadistic, going to lengths of finding amusement in other people’s physical and emotional pain. Zero is quite charismatic in that he can get anyone to believe in him, even if they've known him for years, or heard of his actions.
Zero may be selfish and malicious, but even he has things he enjoys. Zero enjoyed playing the flute, there wasn't much need for music in his family, but the flute was something his mother played, and she taught him. Zero was talented in music of most sorts but his father wouldn't have that and enrolled him in training. Another of Zero’s favourite things was his sword; he was skilled in wielding a sword. Zero loved using the sword as it was a reminder that although he wasn't exceptionally strong, he had the ability to protect himself. He was well versed in the knowledge of edible plants, but even more so on those that were poisonous, deadly plants could come in use to him, and Zero was all about power.
Zero doesn't have many, but everyone has some redeeming qualities. He was an honourable person, if he gave you his word, Zero would keep it, if he made you a deal, he would make it. Along with his honour Zero was intelligent, he could measure up his competition, and see who was and wasn't a threat to him with ease.
Zero was funny, when he wanted to be he could fill a room with laughter and joy as easily as breathing was to him. He was protective, maybe not in a way most would expect, but over what was his, or what he considered his. Zero would fight for what was his, and he would fight to win.
Zero was born and brought up in District 2, an only child and cared for by his mother and father.Codeword: Odair
His father trained people from his District to become Peacekeepers for the Capitol, and his mother worked in masonry at the Nut.
As a sickly baby his parents paid a lot of money discover the source of his pain, and after several check ups and operation to his brain was made, removing a tumour that would have surely killed him, leaving a grotesque scar on his forehead.
As an only child he had a lot of attention from a young age, and his parents gave him everything he wanted if it was within their budget to do so.
When he realized his allergy to too much sunlight, his parents were worried it would affect his day to day life. However they soon discovered medication that could help.
It wasn't too expensive, and it meant he could still train on certain days that weren't too bright. This meant he could be a competitor and his father was proud, and like Zero glad he had a future they could enjoy.
At a young age he began to learn how to play the flute, on days that were too sunny to train his mother would sit inside with him and teach him, the house filled with music and a calm would overcome them, they could delude themselves in never ending safety. Until his father would come home and announce news from the District, about tributes, or volunteers who were chosen. Although he wanted to be in the Games, and his father willed him to do so, his mother loved him deeply, hoping he wouldn't ever have to leave her. Of course Zero loved his mother, but he wanted glory and fame, he would rather hurt her than jeopardize this for himself. His selfish desires began around then, he realized people were weakness, and love was an even weaker tie to have, aside from his parents he didn't love anyone, or even feel fond of another person, or even an animal.
By the time he was twelve Zero was closed emotionally, aside from snide humour and malicious and selfish intent. His mother knew she had lost him, but still had her flute lessons with him every week, when he would show some form of love in his music.
He was deadly in combat with swords and could make traps with a blink of an eye.
His knack for knowing his enemy became useful when setting traps and forming training alliances, those who want to volunteer became his ‘friends’ though he liked none of them. At the age of sixteen they began to respect him, not out of fondness but fear of how he acted, how cold and reluctant he was to feel. He was the poster boy for a career tribute, and he wasn't about to feel bad about it.
