My head feels like it's pounding, thump thump thump. The blow to the back of my head was making me dizzy. I had been hit hard enough to see stars and now had a masive headache. My hands shakily grabbed the doorknob, fear pulsing throufh my veins. There are very few people in the world that I am afraid of. One of thwm happens to be my uncle, Snake Tornhell. His wrath is worse than even the Capitols, he knows how to hurt people where it hurts them most. I gently knock nefore he allows me to come in.

"How did your fight go, Allyssa?" He reminded me exactly of a snake. I looked at him, trying to keep my ice blue eyes fixed on his steely gray ones.
"I l-lost, I'm so sorry, it won't happen again, I promise. He just hit me really hard..." A sharp slap cut me off and my eyes watered. I wiped the tears furiously away, not wanting to be seen as weak in front of the man I feared and possibly hated the most, and looked at him.

"Do you have any idea as to how much I have done for you, Allyssa. I have raised you, trained you, made you deadly and this is how you repay me? By losing?" He hit me again, this time on the chest. I gasped, the air leaving my lungs and my uncle looked at me with a coldness that made my blood turn to ice. He slapped me one more time and I reeled back, my head spinning. "This is your last chance, fail me again and you'll regret it. Now get out of my sight" he spat. I didn't need to be told twice. I turned on my heal and left the room, running down the hall, or stumbling as fast as I could, my head screaming. As soon as I reached the safety of my room, I locked the door and burst into tears. I had failed him. I, Allyssa Tornhell, the most feared assassin in district two, had failed.

I sobbed for what seemed like hours before a soft knock on my door startled me. I didn't answer it, not wanting company. "Ally, I know uou're in there. Let me in please?" Nick, my boyfriends, voice called through the door.

"go away, Nick, I want to be alone" my voice was scratchy from crying.

"Please, Ally" he asked again. I sighed, trying to dry my tears on my pillow. I stood up and padded towards the door, unlocking it so that he could come in. He wrapped his arms around me and I rested my head on his chest. "You lost?" He asked. I nodded, my red eyes gazing up at him. He smoothed my night black hair before carrying me to my bed where he laid me down. "It's alright, Ally, you did your best" he said. I shook my head.

"That was not my best, that was the worst I have ever done in a fight." I protested before his lips were on mine and he kissed me gently.

"Ally, it's alright, okay babe, it's over and done with, let's move on" his hands roamed over my body and I let him. I needed a distraction and my boyfriend was the ideal one for the job. I kissed him again before we fell onto the bed.

When I awoke in the morning, the headache still raged inside my head and Nicks side of the bed was empty. I sat up slowly, a resolve in my mind. I would train harder, be stronger, be deadlier. What better place to do that than the training center? I stood up, popping a headache pill, before I got dressed in my training gear.

The air outside was sharp and cold, a typical Winter day in district two. I still wear shorts in the winter because my body is naturally warm. The air inside the gym is warm but I don't care as I start to warm up. No surprise, Mason is training as well. I don't pay much attention to him until I start towards ths soears. I haven't really dealt with spears before but I want to learn thm. I have seen a number of past tributes use them in the games, except for this year, no one had a trident. I pick one of them up and look at Mason who I can't tell what he's doing. "Hey, Mason." I said nonchallantly.

The results of the pre-games round one were over. Seeing Lyssa lose had to be one of the most shocking moments in this world. How can she lose? I don't believe she put her all in the match as she wipes the floor with me each spar and I know that I'm stronger than the man she fought. I wont tease you about the loss that's for sure. I kind of want to keep my head attached to its spine. Something that still strikes me as shocking, is the way I nearly lost to the little girl. I in no way shape or form, wanted to win that fight. Hurting the little girl had to be the most difficult thing that I can remember doing. Yet, when the girl kept fighting me as if she had a chance, I knew that standing by and doing nothing would only hurt myself. Fighting back was such a hard thing to do, but it was necessary for victory.

I wanted to impress you Lyssa, but I'm not even sure that you watched my match. I know full well the results of your match. Hopefully, I did something to draw your eye. Its all I've been trying to do for months. I head off to the training center to do what I love to do. This time though, I'd need to work on hand to hand combat. The fight with the little girl exposed some flaws in my training regime. I had to stop training over and over with the same weapons. By now, I know that spears and trident are my bread and butter. I've even gotten better with the bow and somewhat the sword. The other weapons I don't train with too much, but I sort of know how to handle them.

As soon as I arrive at the center, I head right for the hand to hand combat section. I take off the coat I wore over here which leaves me in a simple tank top. I want to have the full use of my arms for this exercise I have planned for myself. I spot what I need which is a punching bag. After hanging it up, I deliver a few combinations and kicks to go along with them. Sweat drips down my body, but punch after punch, kick after kick, I keep at it. Nothing will stop me today. "Hey, Mason." Well maybe there is one thing that'll stop me. Lyssa's voice brings about that jelly like feeling I get in my legs when I'm near her. "You were the true winner of that match Lyssa. No fucking way did a scumbag beat my girl. No fucking way. If I get him in the next round, he'll wish he lost." Butterflies explode in my chest. Only now did I realize that I just called Lyssa mine. Ripred help me.

I tossed a spear at the target, not making nearly as clean of a shot as I would have liked but it is decent. I can tell that Mason is angry but at what, I'm not sure. He doesn't leave me in the dark long and it surprises me the anger he has in his voice. I've never really seen him angry. "You were the true winner of that match Lyssa. No fucking way did a scumbag beat my girl. No fucking way. If I get him in the next round, he'll wish he lost." I shake my head. Did I just hear what I thought I heard? He called me his girl. There was no way I was his girl, nor would I ever be his girl. Regardless of the thankfully almost gone headache, my anger still sparked at him, fire filling my normally icy eyes. On one hand, I was flattered that he would make the ass hole pay for kicking my ass but at the same time, he had no right to call me his. I narrowed my eyes, launching another spear at a dummy. I tried to imagine my uncle standing in front of me as I launched it and my anger made the throw that much more deadly. It embedded itself into the dummy's stomach but it's not good enough. It will never be good enough.

My eyes flashed over to Mason who was practicing hand to hand combat and I can tell that he's afraid, probably only realizing what he'd said after he'd said it. A slip up probably but I wouldn't let it fly, I was my uncles Niece, my attention to detail was inescapable and slip ups like this needed to be addressed. I put down my spear and padded up to him, looking him in the eye. "In case you'd forgotten, I have a boyfriend already" I hissed. Somewhere, deep down, I didn't mind being called his but I hated to admit that I felt anything for Mason, he was a friend, nothing more. But even as I told myself this, I found myself blushing at the fact that he'd called me his. Did he feel something for me. No, stop this Ally, how could someone like him have feelings for someone like you? I told myself. I was a bad girl, I killed without thought and did what I wanted, to top it off, I was manipulative, cunning, and just downright mean. What could he possibly see in me? I turned away from him, going towards the hand to hand combat training. I should probably also work on this, considering I was beaten using this. I will train harder, become stronger, and be better overall than before.

As soon as I say that Lyssa is mine, I'm instantly afraid. I know she has a boyfriend and all, but over the past few months, I do feel me and her have grown incredibly close. Seeing her each and every day tends to bring people closer as well. I don't think I know when I started to like Lyssa, it just happened one day. Seeing her train in such a tight tank top and shorts.... that day, I knew there was no going back for my feelings about her. "In case you'd forgotten, I have a boyfriend already." I could hear the venom in her voice. I really couldn't blame her at all. After all, I basically said I'm her boyfriend in not so many words. What's more, my words could be interpreted as saying, 'Lyssa, me and you are a couple now'. No wonder she appears like she'd want to rip my throat out.

"Look Lyssa, I know you have a boyfriend, but I don't see him around. I doubt he showed any emotion to your lost like I have. I love you more than he probably does. I'm here for you more as well. I don't see him promising to kick that guys ass." I don't know where those words came from, but I know I'll pay for each and every word that came out of my mouth. I don't know why, but Lyssa hasn't come at me with a knife yet. When I spoke, I feared my throat being slit, but nothings happened just yet. Or maybe she'll kill me later when I least expect it. That has to be why there hasn't been a knife to greet my own throat. I chance a glance at her and find that she's practicing hand to hand just like I am. She looks so good today. "Hey Lyssa, if you're not going to slit my throat, why don't you come over here with me?" The words shock me more. Its like I'm inviting her to kill me.

I stare hard at Mason, my icy blue eyes hard. What the fuck was he doing? Calling me his. What the hell is he up to? I wonder before he speaks again. "Look Lyssa, I know you have a boyfriend, but I don't see him around. I doubt he showed any emotion to your loss like I have. I love you more than he probably does. I'm here for you more as well. I don't see him promising to kick that guys ass." What the fuck was that? I am so tempted to march up to him and slit his throat but something inside freezes me in place. He said he loves me. No, he can't love someone like me, no one could possibly love someone like me. I'm not lovable, at least, I don't think I am. I'm not sweet, or kind, or even slightly gentle, I'm mean, nasty, cold, I'm not lovable. I tell myself, my eyes turning to ice as I convince myself of what I truly am. What the hell is happening to me? Why is he making me feel this way. I hate it, I hate what he does to me when I'm around him. Love makes people weak, it makes them vulnerable to being hurt. I am NOT vulnerable. "Hey Lyssa, if you're not going to slit my throat, why don't you come over here with me?" does this boy have a death wish or something? I wonder for a moment before my legs carry me towards him until I stand a few feet away from him, gazing at him, my mind turning for a few moments before I finally speak. "Just so you know, Nick may be an ass at times but I love him and he was there for me after I lost. You don't know this but after I lost, my Uncle flipped shit at me. He beat me and told me I'd failed him. My entire life, all I've wanted to do was impress him and make him love me, I've wanted his approval because he taught me everything I know and he took me in when my parents didn't want me. He gave me so much and I owe him everything I have. How can you say you love me when I'm not a good person, when I'm just a cold, heartless bitch?" I don't know what comes over me as the words start to pour out and they won't stop. "and don't tell me I'm not heartless because I am. I've killed Ripred knows how many people and I've felt nothing for doing it. I'm not what you think I am Mason." I didn't notice before but there are tears in my eyes. What the hell? Why am I crying. I can't show weakness in front of him but I already have.

With that said, I feel empty and hollow inside. I wipe away the tears from my eyes but can't look at him. I know I've probably just embarrassed myself in front of him and he probably now hates me, I can't bring myself to look into his eyes, instead, I pull out Caido and attack the nearest dummy, blindly ripping it to shreds. What the hell is going on, why are the walls I've built up suddenly crumbling down, why did it take Mason Hammerfell to break them down? Furiously, I wipe away the tears that are forming behind my eyes. Stop crying Allyssa, it makes you weak my uncles voice sneers in my head and I instantly stop them cold. Why am I so weak? Why can't I be strong like Indigo or Nick? What's wrong with me?

I can see with the words I've spoken to Lyssa that I've done something to piss her off. Our eyes meet and seeing those icy blue eyes with such coldness in them breaks me apart. Its like all the months we've spent together have meant nothing. She has to feel something for me, I just refuse to believe that I'm just a simple friend to her. "You don't know this but after I lost, my Uncle flipped shit at me. He beat me and told me I'd failed him. My entire life, all I've wanted to do was impress him and make him love me, I've wanted his approval because he taught me everything I know and he took me in when my parents didn't want me. He gave me so much and I owe him everything I have." She spoke about her boyfriend being there for her, but what she actually says next is what I catch the most. These words resonate within me. Hearing her say she was beaten, well its tearing me apart. No one should have to suffer a beating at all.

"How can you say you love me when I'm not a good person, when I'm just a cold, heartless bitch? and don't tell me I'm not heartless because I am. I've killed Ripred knows how many people and I've felt nothing for doing it. I'm not what you think I am Mason." She questions my love for her? I'm about to protest when my retaliation comes up short. She only found out today how I truly feel about her. I don't know if she's guessed the true feelings, but only today did she get the truth. Her last words made me smile. She knew I would of said something to justify my love for her, but I wont back down from what I told her. "You act as if I have I control over who I fall in love with. You'll have to deal with my feelings." As if to prove it, I walk over to Lyssa and take her head in my hands. I stare her down for a few moments before planting a kiss squarely on her lips. After a while, I pull back.

"I had to do that at least once. If you're going to kill me, at least I got to do what I've wanted for a long time." What comes next, I'll be ready for. Kissing her after all the time we've spent over the past few months was satisfying. Something about that kiss felt right. I don't know if she'll kill me, not respond, or even walk out of the center without a single word uttered to me. I drop my arms uselessly at my side. If she's going to retaliate for what I just did, I'll do it without resistance. Hopefully she returns the kiss. I would love to feel our lips meeting one more time.

I looked at him, feeling hollow inside. I'd just spilled my heart to him. I didn't pay attention to what he said until he took my head between his hands and looked at me for a few moments before kissing me square on the lips. It startled me so much I couldn't even protest. In fact, I had to admit, I enjoyed the kiss. It was softer and sweeter than Nicks kisses and he felt different. When he pulled away, he said something about having to do that at least once and seemed to be expecting me to attack him. I drew back, stunned. 'what the hell was that?' I wanted to scream but a part of me couldn't do it. I couldn't hurt him, not after how many times I had hurt him already. Snap out of it Allyssa, love is weakness, you are not weak I told myself, shaking my head. I was not weak, I refused to be weak.

I stood in silent shock for a moment before looking up at him. Only now, looking up at him, did I realize how tiny I was compared to him. I'd been trained enough to not let my height affect my ability but in close proximity, I knew, I wouldn't be a match whatsoever. My hand-to-hand was weak and along with that, I wasn't overly strong. Speed had always been my main advantage. "I'm so-sorry, I can't do it Mason, I just can't do it." I whispered, looking away from him. Why the hell was this happening to me, why did he do this to me, turn me soft? Fury at my inability to help myself rose up inside me, I. Was. NOT. Weak! Before I could stop myself, and before my mind could really process what it was doing, I reached up on my tiptoes and kissed him. What the hell am I doing? I didn't care when my mind caught up with my body, it felt nice actually, feeling loved by someone who didn't care about the fact that I was dangerous or the fact that I was part of a gang, he just cared about me. Really, is that such a bad thing? yes Ally, you have a boyfriend, remember? the thought made me pull away from him. My cheeks burned, warmth from him and from my own desire making them bright red. "Mason, no, this, this between us can't happen." I tried to make my voice cold but I found my heart wasn't in it. "Just give me some space." I turned my back on him and stalked to the other side of the training center, needing time to think without his distracting me.

The taste of her lips on mine still lingered. Kissing Lyssa had to be one of my greatest moments I've had in the past few months. The kiss will always be remembered in my head even if she does kill me right here. I close my eyes waiting for a death blow, but after a few seconds pass, nothing happens. My eyes open to see that she's still in shock based off her reaction to the kiss. I don't know if what I did will make her snap or not, but what happens next surprises me more than any attack would of. Lyssa stands on her toes to give me a kiss. The second kiss is just as magical as the first. I want to speak about what just happened, but she beats me to it.

"Mason, no, this, this between us can't happen." If she didn't kiss me, I might of believed her. The words still sting somewhat, but not like it could of. She mentions wanting space, but I barely pay attention. I loved the kiss so much that I feel this... need to do it again. Is this the beginning of a relationship between me and her? She has a boyfriend now, but I love her. Its obvious that she feels something for me. I watch Lyssa walk off to be alone. I know she asked for space, but I refuse to back down from her. If I'm to prove that I can handle her, I need to not back down from her. I decide that she'll get another visit from me. Leaving her alone isn't an option anymore.

I do wait a little bit. Give her sometime to process what happened, but after a few moments, I find myself making my way toward the lonely corner she choose for herself. This next move will surely get me attacked, which prompts me to grab a nearby sword. No longer will I allow Lyssa to throw me around when I'm the stronger one. With the sword in one hand, I march toward her with confidence or cockiness, one of the two. "Lyssa, I know you wanted space, but I love you. Get that through your thick skull." As if to prove my point, I spin her around and lower her halfway to the ground before planting another long kiss on her. After what seems like minutes if not an hour, I gently bring her back up on her feet before pulling away. I raise my sword halfway to my chest with the intent clear. I will defend myself.

A L L Y T O R N H E L L My feet carry me over to a more secluded corner to be alone with my thoughts. If he follows me, I swear to Ripred I might kill him. He stupidly follows me and suddenly, I hear his voice. "Lyssa, I know you wanted space, but I love you. Get that through your thick skull." I'm spun around and he leans me back, almost halfway to the floor and plants a kiss on my lips, using his size to his advantage. Damnit, why am I so fucking small? I hate feeling so powerless and small and weak, he's so much larger than I am and can easily keep me in this position as long as he wants. I don't bother struggling in his grip, I know somehow that he won't let me go until he's done with me so I allow myself to just enjoy the moment. When he let's me up again, he raises a sword, obviously expecting an attack but I'm too stunned to do anything, let alone attack him. I push away, my mind reeling. What just happened? The effects of my concussion begin to come back and a dizzy spell makes me feel like I'm going to fall. Maybe it wasn't a good idea that I came to training today but if I hadn't come, maybe, I never would have felt this way. What the fuck is this, this soft feeling I'm having? No, I'm an assassin, a heartless assassin with no feelings. I'm not supposed to feel this way, no, no, no, no, no! My cheeks burn in embarrassment. He's made me weak Him. He's the reason the walls I've built up over the years are coming tumbling down. No, they will not come down, I will not let them come down, not when I've spent so long building them up. I feel the anger begin to burn within me, Caido seems to grow warm within me, as if anticipating a reaction. Without warning, my anger explodes and my dagger comes out. I launch Caido into the wall with all my strength and it wedges itself into the wall. "Don't ever do that to me again, don't ever make me feel weak again. I am not weak, nor will I ever be weak." I hiss, my eyes sharpening like flint. My anger is deadly when uncontrolled and right now, I can feel my anger getting out of control. I close my eyes, taking a deep breath. "I'd advise you step away from me." I say, my voice cold. I'm so furious right now and it's not even at him, it's the emotions running wild inside my head that I'm furious with. I turn away from him and dart away, retrieving Caido, to the change room, locking myself in one of the stalls. Hot tears stream down my face as choked sobs escape my lips. What the fuck is going on with me? Why am I being this way? Why am I letting myself fall for him? I feel like screaming with all these feelings running through my head. "What am I doing?" I cry. I feel so bold kissing Lyssa again. I know she allowed the kiss to happen because, she let me spin her around and allow the whole thing to happen. If she was truly opposed to it, I wouldn't have gotten the kiss in. We've fought many times for me to know that if she doesn't want to be touched, I wont get a single finger on her. I finally realize that she spoke to me and ran off. "Don't ever do that to me again, don't ever make me feel weak again. I am not weak, nor will I ever be weak." Those words come crashing back to my ears. She also told me to step away from her which I oblige. I don't get why she thinks I made her weak. I've expressed how I feel about her is all.

Only now do I notice that Lyssa isn't near by. I conclude that she fled to the bathroom or something. I look around to see that there is indeed a room near our area. Step by step, I end up at the door ready to knock, but at the last second, I stop myself. Lyssa must not care about me at all. She has a concussion which I forgot about. That could be why she's acting weird and kissing me. "I guess you played me for a fool Lyssa. Thanks for ripping my heart out of me and shattering it." I half yell the words at the door. Positive that she's the one in there. I dash toward the exit of the center, careful to leave a path of destruction in my wake. She tore me apart and now, I'll go after her boyfriend.

The tears escaping my eyes have no place in my life. A boy should not be able to make me cry but somehow, he's managed to push past my barrier and find the true me. I'm just a little girl, I am not even that big, but I am also a Tornhell and Tornhells do NOT cry, ever. I hear his voice on rhe other side of the bathroom door and I realize, it's not me he's pissed with, it's Nick he wants. shit I think. I wipe the tears from my eyes, feeling grateful that my mascara is waterproof or I would look like shit.

I open the washroom door and follow the clear path of distruction to Mason's retreating figure. "Mason, stop, please. I-I'm sorry if I hurt you. I'm not angry at you I am angry at what you're making me feel alright. I've never really felt this way before and I am confused. I'm sorry" I say, my blue eyes looking at him innocently. How pathetic, I must look to him. My eyes bloodshot and my nose running. "If you're gonna hurt anyone, it's me you should hurt not Nick." I admit, looking away from him.

If Lyssa likes that Nick guy more than me, well he wont be alive for very much longer. I want to kill him so bad. Lyssa tore me heart in half. She used me. I'm second fiddle to that pathetic man. Well no longer. He'll be dead in a matter of hours. I'll tear Lyssa's heart in half. The anger within me is strong. So strong that I can almost feel it pulsing off of me. I'm still fuming when I hear footsteps behind me. It has to be Lyssa coming after me. Probably guessed that I want to kill Nick. "Mason, stop, please. I-I'm sorry if I hurt you. I'm not angry at you I am angry at what you're making me feel alright. I've never really felt this way before and I am confused. I'm sorry."

I turn around prepared to yell at her, but the moment our eyes meet, my anger fades. Her eyes are blood red while her nose is running. She must of cried so much in the room she went to after leaving me. Pity grows within me. I don't want to hurt her in any way. She cares about Nick in some way. If I take that away from her, I'll lose her for sure. "If you're gonna hurt anyone, it's me you should hurt not Nick." Shock replaces pity. She says that Nick shouldn't be hurt. I wont hurt her that way. I'll lose her love for sure. Lyssa must care about me in some way if she's stopping me. If Nick was her priority, she would of fled to his location and left me in the dust. Her back is facing me. I could go after him now, or stay here with her.

My hands spins her around so that our eyes meet. I want her to see the truth in my eyes. "I love you Allyssa Tornhell. I've fallen for you. Only Ripred can truly explain my feelings. All I know is, I one hundred percent love you with all my heart. I want to be yours Allyssa." I move in for a kiss. Only a brief moments hesitation before my lips meet hers. I don't pull back until I'm sure our lips have been touching for minutes. With my cheeks blazing red at my declaration, I pull back from her at last. What she says next could either send me into insanity with the loss of her love, or make me the happiest man in this district. I stare at Allyssa with a warm smile hoping that she responds to me soon.

He stops as he looks at me, the anger in his eyes dissipating as he looks at me. I hate this but sometimes, I don't want to be the strong one. Just for once, I want to be anle to show a little bit of vulnerability and not be hurt by it. I let him spin me around and he surprises me with a declaration of love. He even refers to me by my full name. I don't realize it until he kisses me again and I allow mu arms to wrap around hjs neck. I savor tje kiss, enjoying it and feeling things no one has ever made me feel before. do I love him? I wonder as he kisses me.

When he breaks away, I look into his eues, my cheeks flushed. "Mason, I've fallen for you too. I'm just worried aboit Nick. He's possessive but I want rhis, I want us, I am just scared." I have nevrer been this honest with anything ever. "I love you too Mason Hammerfell, you have shown me that I don't always have to be scary and I can sometimes just be myself. " I say, my eyes meeting his. I have learned a lot from him. "That dpesn't mean I won't still kick your ass "" my headache that I had been fighting starts to throb, making my head spin a bit. stupid fucking concussion I think, detangling my hands from around his neck and rubbing my temple with my fingers. "stupid Tyren, gicing me a concussion." I mutter under my beath. I look up at him, a blush making my cheeks hot.

Waiting. That's the one thing right now that I'm doing. I need some sort of reaction from Ally. Not knowing how she feels about my declaration of love is driving me insane. Maybe I went way too fast for her to respond. She loves Nick that much is obvious to me. I came close to going after him, but she stopped me. Only my love for her overrides my anger and hatred at Nick. "Mason, I've fallen for you too. I'm just worried about Nick. He's possessive but I want this, I want us, I am just scared." I can feel the joy building up within me. Ally just gave me the best news I've ever heard in my life. The girl that I love has spoken the words that I wanted no needed to hear. I couldn't possibly get any happier than I already am. I brush off her words and plant another kiss on her. It feels like an hour before I break off. "Don't worry about Nick. "I love you too Mason Hammerfell, you have shown me that I don't always have to be scary and I can sometimes just be myself. That doesn't mean I won't still kick your ass." She's both scary and wonderful. Those two things go hand in hand with Ally. I don't know where or even how I fell for her, but it just happened. I cant help the laugh that escapes my lips. Even after all of this moment of love that just happened, she still wants to kick my ass. Same old Ally really, always wanting to beat me up. I wonder if she can still fight after her concussion. Maybe now is the time to take advantage of it in a fun way. "Kick my ass? Come on Ally, you can barely stand on your two feet let alone do that." There's a hint of challenge in my voice. I want to goad her into this. She might still kick my ass, but it'll be fun nonetheless. "If you can take me down here and now, I'll give you a another kiss. If I win, no more of this business of kicking my ass hmm?"

I can see her eyes flash with the possibility of beating me in another challenge however small it may be. She just loves to win. This will be an interesting test for her. "Come on Ally, you going to accept or just sit there looking beautiful." I don't know what could be keeping her, but she hasn't made her move. Maybe the concussion is worse than I thought, yet she appears to be fine. Could be that she's thinking the challenge through. I'd wager that she's contemplating beating me again versus the gloating I will surely do when I beat her. Its quite amazing how in just a few minutes, I went from wanting to kill someone to standing here with the girl I love.

A L L Y T O R N H E L L What an odd couple we will make. Had you told me a few months ago that Mason and I would be together, I would have murdered you. There was no way it could have worked. He was a good foot taller than I was and probably a lot stronger too. "Don't worry about Nick. I've never been afraid of him. Its about time though Ally, declaring your love for me." He laughs and I seriously can't help but laugh with him. It feels so good to laugh, to actually laugh, not to do the cold laugh my uncle seems to have given me. I see the glimmer of humor in his eyes as I tell him I'll still kick his ass. He calls my bluff. "Kick my ass? Come on Ally, you can barely stand on your two feet let alone do that." I flush. Stupid fucking concussion. As if to prove his point, I feel a dizzy spell come over me again and I grab on to the wall. "If you can take me down here and now, I'll give you a another kiss. If I win, no more of this business of kicking my ass hmm?" He says, a challenge in his voice. He knows my weakness for challenges but this is where I may have to draw the line. I know I can't fight right now, my brain is starting to scatter my thoughts, it feels like someone is inside my brain, hammering my skull. I'm silent for a few moments before Mason speaks up again. "Come on Ally, you going to accept or just sit there looking beautiful." I look at him, my blue eyes boring into his. "If I ever meet Tyren again, I'm gonna make sure he doesn't beat me again." I hiss. His comment about me being beautiful makes a blush color my cheeks a darker red and I smile sweetly for once. "Case you hadn't noticed, he gave me a concussion." I reply to his challenge. "It's not often I'll admit this, but I don't think I can beat you at the moment. Doesn't mean I won't in the future, if this is gonna work, don't forget that." I say, a soft giggle escaping my lips. Why am I acting like this, what the fuck is he doing to me? Oh Ripred, I'm in love, why? Why did I have to fall in love? Love is dangerous, it gets people killed. My mind doesn't care as I look at Mason and can't think of anyone I'd rather be with. He's more stable than Nick will ever be and he's more fun to be around, plus, he's willing to spar with me. Nick seems to think I'm fragile. Ripred, I'm not a little kid anymore. When I feel stable enough, I approach Mason and wrap my arms around his toned torso and rest my head on his chest.
