Age: 15
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 4
Appearance:
Johnny Tear has nice blonde hair, and is skinny and fairly tall. His eyes are a sea foam green, like his mom's eyes. He has seeing eye glasses, but he refuses to wear him for he was bullied for wearing them. His skin is bruised, has scars, and have cuts, for he used to cut before his parents died. He can always be seen wearing his favorite jacket, a cotton one, when he wanders the district.Personality:
His general appearance is much like his mom, but his nose like his dad's. His nose looks like any other nose, but he was made fun for it being 'pointy', even though he never really thought it was that pointy. His skin is rough, due to the scars. He had gone through hardships fishing, because he isn't that strong. The string from the fishing rod often gives him a rash, for he wasn't properly trained to fish. The rope from the fishing line gave him rope burn.
Johnny Tear is the protective one. He protects his little sister, Stephanie, for he is all she has. He is brave, semi-strong, and will do ANYTHING to protect his sister. He is a great singer, for his sister can't sleep without a lullaby, but like that will help in the Games. He reads all these investigative books, so he is good in investigating almost ANYTHING.History:
Johnny cracks the funniest jokes and was voted 'Least Likely to get Eaten by a Shark' in his elementary school yearbook. No one voted him though, he made up the category just for him, for he was part of yearbook club. With this sly action, people say he is sly. He is very fit. He goes for a run around the district or a swim in the waters at least twice a day. Once in the morning, once before bed.
Johnny is a straight A student, and has had Honor Roll every Trimester. He's a nerd, as some people would say. The glasses he used to wear just added to him being a nerd. At times, people would describe him as 'emo', for he rarely smiles, used to cut, and doesn't show much emotion. His grandmother said he had 'the traits of the sea.' and 'if Poseidon, the sea god, had a kid with the ocean, you would be their son. You're were THAT beautiful, Johnny.'
However, everyone has flaws. He is very antisocial. He rarely socializes with anyone. He'll only talk to his sister. He has asthma. Even though he is fit, if he pushes himself too hard, he will have an asthma attack. He is also an attention seeker. The jokes he will tell at school are funny, but he says the same joke more than once for attention. He's not that strong. Once he tried reeling in a 25 lb. salmon, and he lost grip of the fishing rod because it was so heavy.
His mother had him at fifteen, and had his sister at eighteen. A couple days after his mother giving birth, his mother went out on a fishing trip with Johnny's father. Their boat capsized, and they were left in the water for several days. They died of hypothermia. With that, Johnny got his wake up call to be there with his sister.Codeword: odair
He lives with his Grandmother, who is dying of cancer. With Stephanie, his sister, almost twelve, Johnny's going to extremes to make sure she's not going to be reaped. If she was reaped, he would be alone. He would have no more family. His grandfather died several months ago, his grandmother on her deathbed, and if his sister got reaped, he knew for a fact she would die.
Johnny thought he can pose as a girl and volunteer for Stephanie, but his Grandmother said it wouldn't work. With his Grandmother dying, his sister turning twelve three days before the reaping, and him having to enter his name in MORE TIMES for food, he's living in constant paranoia. With this paranoia, his sister is worrying about him. 'He needs to let loose and let the water splash on him.' Johnny recalls her saying. That saying means to stay calm. No matter how much Johnny loved that saying and wanted to calm down, he worried and worried.
