Revival Tyren Orca - District Two - Seventeen [Un-neededly-long-intro-that-you-don't-need-to-read-but-can-for-context-and-coolness] District Two had a chill to it this morning. The house's heating was on full and you couldn't go outside without getting cold hands, ears and nose. The District was spending all its money getting houses warm, furnaces warm and mines from being too warm. The battle continues as Tyren escapes his far-too-warm bed for the bathroom, where he gets a drink of water straight from the tap. The sun is barely out, it must be around five or six o'clock in the morning. Barely anything is happening outside, apart from the droning of the mines which is forever in the background. Tyren didn't notice it, but he walked to the bathroom. And for the most part, without falling over. He is clearly on the mend. He goes downstairs and expects to find nobody, so he is surprised when he sees his cousin Alba, who was staying at the house tonight as per every week, curled on the couch. She has her own room, but she must have been displeased with the heat as well. "You too?" She says from her laid down position, eyes still closed. "Can't stand the cold." He takes a seat on an opposite singular seat. Alba opens her eyes to see him and she is instantly shocked as she sits up. "I thought you were Alex." Her surprise is clear in the way she speaks. "Disappointed?" He chuckles at her. "You're getting better then?" She interrogates him - she is eager to see the promise he made fulfilled; 'I will train you before the reaping.' He said to her. "For the most part. Still get splitting headaches, but training will sort that." She is only sixteen, but her excitement seems more child-like - "We training then?" She quizzes. "Well if you wake Al' up, we can get going now. It's only..." He checks the clock, a smirk of humor appearing on his face. "...Early." She shakes her head with a mutual smirk of humor, standing herself up and making her way upstairs. "I'll get him." When Alex comes downstairs, with his short hair and equally as short stubble, he sees Tyren in the kitchen pouring a glass of milk, Alba walking down the stairs behind him. "I didn't even believe you." He says, rushing towards Tyren to give him a brotherly hug which causes the milk to spill straight into the sink. "..." Alba holds in laughter while Tyren laughs and wrestles Alex off, the little duel not causing that much noise to wake their parents. Alex, being Tyren's non-identical twin, wasn't hurt badly at all in the pregames. It is in this moment that the trio look at each other, knowing how each of them was feeling. Happiness, content. Finally they are together and normal again. The group together in a kind of group huddle and remind themselves of how close they were to losing another Orca. "Come on, let's go." Alba commands with some enthusiasm. It is clear to at least Tyren that she has changed a great deal since he has came back from the hospital - she is hiding how she really feels though. Everyone has their own way, and that seems to be hers. [okay-post-begins-here-enjoy] ------------------------- The three arrive at the training hall and Tyren walks in front of the two - they wanted him to be the first in, because he has waited the longest to do it again. He walks into the main hall, and at first the atmosphere was normal. It halted. People halted. Heads turned and suddenly Tyren was being looked at. Inspected, judged. Alba and Alex stand right behind him, defiant of anything anybody had to say. One career stands from a group near the corner. Each footstep that he makes towards Tyren and his relatives echoes across the silent hall. His face is stern, and he looks ready to kill - turns out that is just what all careers look like. He offers a hand to Tyren. He takes it with a shake. The room slowly returns, slowly revives. They walk straight to the archery and Tyren and Alex both pick up a bow each. Alex gets training straight away while Tyren decides otherwise. "Alba, c'mere. Hold this." He hands her the bow and she smiles, taking it. He guides her to stand in the right stance, and be in the correct form. "I'm gonna teach you the bow, since it may be our only option one day." She was already good at knives, swords and a little bit of the spear, not much. "That's it." He confirms to her. "I won't be sec, just going for a drink." He tells the pair as he walks to the other side of the hall. He retrieves his drink from the dispenser that uses little white plastic cups and he takes a big gulp from it. |
