Appearance:
Stellan is tall, roughly 6 feet and 3 inches, lean from running and some malnutrition with pale skin and has broad shoulders and high cheek bones.
Her hair is mid back length, naturally pin straight and blonde to accompany her stormy grey eyes.
Her almond shaped eyes are expressive but not doe-like, she's simply seen too much to seem innocent.
She has a spinal deformation called ideopathic scoliosis that means her spine isn't straight and is in fact shaped somewhat like the letter 'S'.
This condition makes every action painful and as a result she has very high pain tolerance and is very determined in everything she does. She is poor and does not have access to medical care so her life expectancy isn't very long and she can't carry a child to term.
She is rather pretty in an unkempt way and many people see her as endearing as a result. She doesn't believe she is pretty and disregards any mention of it, finding it unimportant.
Stellan prefers to wear her favourite black leather jacket with comfortable skinny jeans and t-shirt with combat boots when she can. She finds it easier to move this way.
She is not very fast but she has a talent for hiding and for stealth. She also is talented in regards to camouflage.
Personality:
Stellan is polite but wary of everyone she has not known for very long periods of time. She's talkative but hides her true goals and intent until she knows if she can trust you or not. She is very unsure of herself but never show it on the outside, giving everyone the façade that she is confident. Due to her condition she is determined and fierce in her endeavors and never lets anything stand in her way. She is very clever and cunning and will do almost anything to survive, even if it means turning on a friend. Stellan is creative and uses her creativity to help her survive in more situations than one. She is friendly in a guarded way and is very easily a social butterfly, making her very likable.
History:
Stellan is an orphan who had three younger brothers named Ash, Cedar and Terren. They lost their parents in a forest fire when Stellan was nine and ever since then she has taken care of them since the orphanages refused to take care of her because of her unusual spine, and they called her a freak of nature for it. Her brothers refused to leave her on her own so they came with her.
Ash and Cedar were prey to skin cancer when they turned 9 and Stellan was 14. They both had overexposure to sun one summer when they were helping tend to some trees together for work and soon died without treatment. Terren remains with Stellan and stays with her best friend Lynx because Stellan is homeless. As far as she knows, the Capitol is unaware she even exists and she would like to keep it this way. She let everyone believe she died in the same fire as her parents.
Stellan has no formal education because of her faked death but a kind old lady taught her everything she knows about hunting when she was 11 and she was taught to read and write when her parents were still alive.
She lived at the edge of District 7 and only ventured into town wearing a hood to get supplies and to visit Terren and Lynx.
Stellan sleeped in a sleeping bag up in the trees on a platform built of lumber she cut down herself. She lived off of game and bread she stole as well as berries and vegetation she finds. She hunts with throwing knives she traded her berries for.
She wandered through the forest and has left the district many times to explore the forest surrounding it for game. She keept mostly to herself, going by many aliases when town so as not to attract attention to herself.
Eventually she is found by a peacekeeper who she befriends and he offers to let her stay with him if she kept her hunting habits a secret and attended school using her real name. At first she refused but eventually he convinced her by saying her brother could come with them. Terren came and lived with them and she started her formal education but quickly lost interest. Nothing she was learning was useful and she already knew more about the districts and the Capitol than they taught at school. She dropped out eventually and began working at one of the lumberyards and hunting for game in her spare time. She occasionally helps the baker out with cake decorating for extra cash as she needs to put her creativity to use. Since she has been recognized as a citizen she is liable to be reaped.
