Previous experience: I haven't really had that much previous experience, but on other sites, which are dead, I have done some of the coding and what not. So not much experience but willing to learn! ^^

Why should we choose you? First of all I love this site and the people I meet and become friends with and all the love and how friendly it is. This place is like my second home and I know that I will always be welcome here and I want to help new members to feel comfortable just like I did when I first joined. I love to see new members come to the site all eager and ready to dive into the games and writing it just makes me all warm and fuzzy and then to be a staff member and have the ability to read through and accept their bios would be a very rewarding job. My main focus would be the apps as I enjoy reading and watching new characters enter the world of this site.

I have been a member of this site for a very long time now, despite what my account says, as I deleted my account for fun after a year and started again. I have watched new people come and grow and I have answered many questions and lead new members to places where they will find the answers they are looking for. In the c-box I like to think that I get along with everyone and am I person that people feel comfortable to approach and ask questions. I love to see new members on the see box and love to answer all their questions to the best of my abilities.

I love organisation and love to see the site clean and in order. On a few other sites that I have helped set up and ten they have died soon after I have worked on the FC page editing it and making it neat and tidy, so in that way I have a little experience on that side. I know how to move threads and what not and since the change over from Version for to five I believe that I have this new coding side of it down pack. I know how to use the codes.

I know I don't really have that much experience, but I loveeeee to learn new things and to gain new responsibilities. I learn quick and would love to have the opportunity to lear new things and gain new experiences though the working of this site.

I haven't really ad bouts of inactivity. But due to an activity I participate in, I do have a lot of camps that I have to attend as I am a high ranking person in that particular organisation. This means that every few months that I have to leave the site for a weekend to go out in the bush - or in other words the land of no wifi- or every once and a while I have to leave the site for a week. But I don't think that that would affect me much on this site- as it hasn't really as a member xDD

Overall I would love to to either the job of the moderator or the librarian I think that each job has a vital place on this site and I think that I would do well in handling the responsibilities given to me. I love reading bios and seeing the new a characters created, I love seeing how creative the members on the site are and even now I love reading through all the bios and seeing all the new characters that are welcomed on this site. I am committed to this site and have been about for over two years now, I don't get disheartened by characters deaths and handle my outside dramas well. If I am chosen for this position as either a mod or a librarian I will give it my all and stay dedicated and hopefully be a great edition to your staff board with is already filled with amazing people.

Why should we choose you?

First off, I'd like to say, everyone whose applying is magnificent and the staff are gonna have a very hard choice when it comes to choosing someone. I am applying for Librarian and Mod, leaning more towards Librarian.

When I first joined the site in January of 2012, I was greeted by many brilliant and amazing members and staff. Lots of people who were very nice and stuck out from the crowd and were never afraid to be them. That's what made the site the best decision I have made yet in my entire high school life. I started out as a newbie who barely could write. I still cringe at most of my old stuff, but gradually I found out more things about the site. Like how to actually code on a computer and make my posts look nicer. I found out how to deal with different situations and how people react to certain things. As a Newbie the site was great and so wonderful and continued to become more and more of a place I felt at home to. Sure, there were problems and sometimes it's dysfunctional, but all became well from the help of staff members and that gave me a dream of wanting to help the site in any way possible.

I know I have made some bad choices here and there throughout the site, but sometimes it happens and it happened to everyone. Lots of the members here go absent for months at a time. I did it my first year on the site during the summer, but when I came back the magic was still here and I felt like I was welcomed home again. Without the site, I probably would have never been able to survive some of the real life situations I've been put through. Like how to deal with negative people or how to really just to open up more to people. I know it's weird thinking that I was the kid in the back of the classroom who never spoke to anyone, since I am extremely talkative. I have learned a lot from this site and still love it, even with it's problems.

Now into a bit of the cliché part of this whole application. As a staff member, I'd want to bring that feeling of home and being welcomed to the site. The staff have been really down on their man power, since real life has gotten in the way of many people. It's hard to see staff members go, but seeing fresh new faces is always nice. In real life, jobs always have an interview part of the application, and this is exactly how I feel. In real life, when I apply for a job, I always want to be apart of that place. And help it improve. If I was a staff, I'd be here almost every day, even with life in the way. I tend to do that already.

I believe that the fc list and character bios are extremely backed up and I want that not to be the case. I love reading character bios in general to see new ideas people are coming up with. I love helping the newbies with ideas on how to lengthen or expand upon a character. That's what I love to do when I feel bored. I love to listen to people rant about their characters and learn little things about them. With the FC List, I think the list being backed up, is a bit aggravating, but I understand why it is. It's a bit of a dull job and can be very tedious while doing it and sometimes, real life just stands in the way, but I'd make sure to do the fc list regularly. Kay and the librarians are doing their best, but they need help.

I do have some leadership abilities from boy scouts, but it would be a whole lot different on the computer. My leadership abilities go from teaching to solving arguments and difficulties. Being a role model for everyone else is a great way to help out too and I try to be a role model when I can be. I know I am not the first choice, but I know that I am improving and hope to be staff one day, but if that day isn't now, then it may be later. Thank you for your time to read this. Previous experience: I was an admin on a Harry Potter RP called Average Wizard Forum but that's completely dead to world. I've hosted a couple of survivor games on my own websites, unfortunately those were deleted by someone.. *cough* Besides that I've had access to the admin panel, especially on proboards, on numerous Survivor and Big Brother related websites and games and have taken active roles in helping management and playing within those games.

Why should we choose you? I'll start off by saying that it should come as no surprise to any one that librarian is a position that I'd love to have no matter what, and have strived steadily towards it since I've joined. That being said, if you think that I could be a good moderator, that is also something that I'd be more than happy to fulfill as well. On that note, I'll delve into narcissism.

Ever since I joined this site over two years ago, I have been both a polarizing and upheld character within the THGRPG community, I personally think this is an undeniable fact. I'm pretty standstill within my opinions and I'm very strong within defending my friends and what I think is right for the site, I've done that since day one. I've been told time and time again by both staff and members a like that the cbox seems to get just a tad (lol) more crazy when I get there, and honestly I find that to be just hilarious. Though sometimes it can balance on the inappropriate side, I always like to get people talking and crazy - ayy cbox after dark - but I think this is a great defining character for me as a staff member, whether good or sometimes a little bad, I get people talking through and through. Sometimes my opinions have gotten a little bit out of hand, but at the same time I think as a staff member I would be a lot more tame and a lot more responsible in terms of being able to control my emotions. Besides all this, I think I'm a great personality, I think a staff member should have this sort of quality, you've even mentioned in the original post that you're looking for someone to be involved within the community, well that's me - I'm here and when I'm here, people are talking.

One could argue "bouts of inactivity" on regards of me as a staff member. Which I could also, in a sense, agree with, but also in another totally oppose. I'm always here, always on the forum daily, we all know I'm a glacial-esque poster and that's probably not going to change. But I'm always available, always online, and anyone can testify to the fact that when I'm needed to do something for the site or needed to be talked to, I'm there and within reachable distance. As a poster, I'm not all that great, but as a worker I'm great, committed, and will always do whatever is needed.

During my time here I have helped endlessly in terms of improvement and doing work. I know exactly all of what the librarian job entails, it's easy simple coding, and all staff are well aware of my capabilities within this department. Also during my time here, it was my idea, and a reworked code of mine that implemented the memory wall that has become a pretty nifty and super loved part of the site (I still love it I can't stop looking at it, it's perfect ok.) Also, with the move the V5, I helped with a series of plug-ins, and along with a couple other staff helped figure out all the new logistics and coding with the new system that helped tremendously within the new change. I am constantly browsing proboards, especially on the little testing side forum that I have looking for new cool things within proboards that would be cool to have. Aya, you personally know my coding capabilities, and to the rest of the staff, you should be well aware of the things I've done in regards to helping the site. As a staff member, I would search more vigorously for ways to improve the site and add more flare to the things that we could do.

Over the past two years I have been nothing but dedicated to this website. I think this is clearly shown within the fact that despite the fact that I'll post twice to three times a month, I am still constantly on the page every twenty-four hours. I honestly don't think there's been a time that I have fallen off the 24 hour list. I personally think that says a lot. I'm constantly reading other peoples bios, because heaven forbid I write my own, and accepting bios is actually probably one of the things I'd look forward to most, honestly. As a staff member, I think I'd bring a huge array of new things and capabilities into the site, including new opinions and views on things that are happening within the community, on top of the fact that all my duties would be done in a timely manner before they were built up. I know I have my faults, but it's better at the fact that I acknowledge them and they're all fairly easy to fix.

I'll end by saying everyone knows how much I want to be staff, and I'll say it again - I want to be staff. Whether it be librarian or moderator, I think I'd be an excellent addition to the team and bring a lot to the site that I wouldn't otherwise be able to bring.

Why should we choose you? I'd prefer moderator position because I'd be much better at it as a whole and librarian stuff confuses me slightly.

Firstly, I think I should point out that I do not consider myself a 'veteran member' of the site, I have been here nearly one year now (I will have been here for a year in two months) so I guess that can't really be considered 'being a veteran'. However, I think in the ten months I've been here I have shown to be an able role player, sensible person and active person on the site: logging on nearly everyday unless I had real life issues going on, frequently being on the cbox and following the rules to the letter, both in site and cbox. Due to me usually being very active and not planning on going anywhere any time soon, I will be able to be an active part of staff held events simply because of all the free time I have.

Secondly, you may hesitate due to my age but I believe it just means I will be able to do more work. As I don't have many commitments such as college or exams I have way too much free time and it can be frustrating when someone has to wait for ages to have their character reviewed, I think that with my free time I will be able to perform character checking sprees a lot and frequently. Having written many acceptable bios myself, being on the site for about ten months and knowing the Hunger Games universe well means I will be able to also perform checks efficiently and not let anything fall through the net.

Thirdly, I think I'd be a good staff member to have around the cbox, I'd honestly just act as I normally do except with a white name. It would only be when I need to actually enforce the rules I would enforce the rules, I know the different between joking around and simple banter and somebody saying genuinely upsetting things and someone being offended, I personally have never crossed that line because I know what will upset someone and will never try to upset them. If someone does happen to cross that line I won't hesitate to tell them to stop or face consequences because I understand people come on this site to have fun, not get upset and that is what this site is all about, having fun and I intend to help it stay that way.

Fourthly, I have tried to be as helpful to newer members as I can, just like I was helped a lot when I was new. I have helped and befriended many newer members, linking them to useful pages, giving them constructive criticism about their character's bios before they are checked, explaining to them how our games work, and just trying to help in any way that I can and I sometimes get frustrated because there's only so much I can do as a normal member and I'd be about a thousand times more helpful if I had some staff power to help them get used to the site.

All in all I think you should really consider me for being part of the staff team. My circumstances make it very easy for me to be an active staff member and participate in the planning of events, I believe I am welcoming enough and very willing to help out new members, or any member at that and answer their questions, I will be able to review character bios frequently and efficiently, keep the cbox (and the site) a fun and safe environment for all people to enjoy, after all this site is about everyone having fun and I would be honoured to be able to help keep it that way.

I was co-admin on Time, a wolf RP site. It died mostly because it had been handed down through a bunch of admins until it reached our last one, Scarlet. She lost access to the Admin account, and decided it would be best to let it go.

I'm also an officer in a bunch of WoW guilds if that counts.


Why should we choose you?
I want to make this site as enjoyable for others as it has been for me. If I didn't have the friends I do on here, I would have no social life. I'm still 'New' so I completely understand if the staff feels I wold not make a decent member- however, that 'Newness' gives me a distinct advantage.

I have no idea how the site was run before I arrived in June.

That means, whatever the admins tell me to do, how to behave, any branch of instruction will be followed to a T. I haven't yet settled into a specific niche yet, I don't think any members are better than others. So Huzzah for that!

My school schedule allows me to be online at different times than other staff lingering in other parts of the world. The timezone helps, also. c: Woo Arizona!

I feel like I'm not intimidating really. When I first joined, I tended to stray away from the staff because I was small, and knew no-one. Staff should be friends with the members, not unreachable platforms.

Previous experience: This is the only place I have ever participated in, which leaves me with no experience as a staff member, but I have been here for a few years now and I'd like to think I have learned a lot.

Why should we choose you?

Nothing has ever pleased me more than seeing someone smile after I decided to take the extra time to help them out. Whether it's tutoring someone or giving someone a ride home even if they are a bit out of my way, I don't like to see someone struggling with anything when I could be helping out. And when it comes to watching someone in the cbox asking for a bio checked or maybe even another staff member looking for some relief, I can't resist the urge to extend a helping hand. Whether it's accepting bios, moving threads, updating the FC list or the side bar, organizing everything into a google doc, scolding people who bring kinky whips into the cbox, answering questions in the Question board and in general, organizing and leading other staff events, threading with a new member, or regulating the massive and insanely crazy Activity/FC Checks, I am willing to do all of it. And though it is a huge deal and very crucial to the site and how it functions, I feel I could handle being a staff member, no matter if the task takes ten minutes or three hours, it's all the same to me as long as I can help out. I can be organized when it's necessary and I think I am a very motivated, hard-working, dedicated person when it comes to making sure that even the smallest of tasks gets done not only quickly, but correctly as well. I am a quick learner, so please don't let the lack of credentials glare at you too harshly. Whatever training I need I am willing to get.

And another, what I consider to be, important thing is how much I love not only this site, but the fantabulous people that make this site what it is. Letting any single person here down would probably kill me because I just love everyone here so much! Everyone here is so brilliant - both the new and the old - and I like to think that I am at least familiar to most of the members here.

And, despite a few hiccups within the past year, I have been generally active. Even when I am not posting or in the Games, I am here reading, stalking the cbox, and keeping up with all the fun! This site has become a part of me, and I don't see myself leaving any time soon ^^

(I'd like to note that I think the Librairian position would suit me better, but what do I know? Perhaps I am better suited for the Mod part of this search?)

Why should we choose you?
This site means a lot to me, I consider it my second home and it’s one of my places that I can relax and let my guard down. This site has given me so much that I feel like it’s my turn to give the love back into it. Being a Librarian will give me the opportunity to give back all the site has given to me. I want to ensure that our new members feel the same welcoming energy that a lot of us felt when we first came here, but I also want to ensure that the same energy continues on so that they always feel welcomed here even when they find their niche in the site.

Being here for almost 2 full years now has let me see how much this site is more than just a role-playing site; it’s more of a living organism that breathes life into creativity and self-awareness. The time experience that I have allows me to see into situations to find a solution that will benefit the site and find a solution that will allow the site to grow. As a generally positive person I can bring my light playful energy into any task that is given to me with a dedication to see it through to the end.

I have learned so much just by watching that already amazing staff members here what it truly means to be a staff member but that doesn’t mean that I’m not able to learn more. I’m always learning new things and always improving everything about me, my writing, my organization and leadership skills and my character in general and I can apply these outside skills to help ensure that the site remains ever strong and to help in any growth that it may need. I also have a great amount of leadership skills as I have been entrusted with many leadership roles throughout middle and high school and I’m currently the president of my school’s GSA which means I have a good sense of how an organization such as this needs to be ran. Being president has taught me many things about how to handle conflicts and how to remain a positive and strong leader without being overbearing.

Now some may argue that taking care of a gay-straight alliance will take too much time away from the site, which is a valid point. I have been able to balance being an active member on the site, homework and managing my GSA with relative ease for the past year and with school being out within six weeks I would be able to take on more responsibility with ease as well. There would be no need to worry about this issue as time management is another skill that I would be able to bring to the site.

I love working behind the scenes as well and I love tinkering with things to know how they work and I would bring that love and excitement over to figuring out how the site works and how I can help make it grow. I also have a basic understanding on how the coding works in the new v5 of Proboards but I’m not as experienced or know as much as some of the other applicants I know that I may not be the most experienced person applying as many past staff members are re-applying but if you give me the chance to prove my worth and give me the opportunity, I promise that you won’t regret it.

Preferred Position: Moderator, but I have the capability of either.
Previous experience: I have a long history of experience. It started back in 2006, on a Sims 2 fansite called Scribblers Abode. I had an opportunity to create my own board on the forum for science-fiction fans. I made the rules of the board, designed everything about it, and moderated. This was a short-term project, however, but it gave me my look at staffing forums.

After scribblers, I started to explore site creation. I created two-three sims 2 forums from the ground up as an administrator. Which included coding the entire board through an older version of proboards. Creating all the rules. Advertising. Moderating. Running my first roleplay. And many, many other duties. Essentially I was there to serve my members. I also helped staff on a friends site. While doing this, I also got to experience running various contests on a variety of sites.

Four years ago I created a Harry Potter roleplay from the ground up with one of my real life friends. We decided to disband the site because he wasn't able to commit to it due to real life conflicts, but it gave me experience coding on Zetaboards. Soon after this I joined a large Harry Potter forum called "Hogwarts Interactive Roleplay." This is where I made my home. I joined in March 2010 and was promoted to become an administrator by September. This where I gained the bulk of my experience. I was an administrator for this site until we reached our second generation (Hogwarts Reborn) in the summer of 2013. I stepped down from the position at that point because I had become incredibly involved in HGRPG. I still frequent that site however.

I had a lot of duties at Hogwarts Interactive. All of them relevant, and I won't bother listing them all because that would take a really long time. The prudent ones: sorted and critiqued character applications (was actually in charge of this section of the site at one point). Moderated the cbox (I actually still do this). Moderated the corresponding facebook and twitter. Coded and moderated the boards. Ran events and updated time. Fixed problems on the site. Responded to member inquires and helped settle disputes. Provided input on all site matters (still do this). Helped lay a vision for the site and brought in several members. Helped the site move forward in plot and activity. Welcomed members and made sure they understood everything. Helped design and run several parts of the site including Who's Who (a directory of who plays what character), the character roster, the Professor Roster, and the celebrity claim. Etc. Etc. Etc. If you have any specific inquiries please feel free to pm me. I dealt with a lot of coding and a lot of moderating/administrating. Anything I didn't know how to do I learned. 

The last thing: I built a Pirates of the Caribbean Roleplay from the ground up (using a pre-made look, but everything else was led and created by me). This was connected to Hogwarts Interactive. As a staff, we collectively decided to disband the site because we did not have the time and energy to pour into it, but it still stands today here. I led it with the Head Administrator of Hogwarts Interactive. My username is Elizabeth Swann on Pirates, and my primary username is Terry Boot on Hogwarts Interactive.

Why should we choose you? Simply put: I have a lot of experience as a staff member and would be able to jump on board without much difficulty. 

Now I want to clarify before I give an explanation for why I feel I would be a valuable member of the staff here. I have had a couple bouts of inactivity during my time here. There was a recent one, which I announced and set a day for coming back. However, I do not intend to disappear again anytime soon. The reason for the recent one was something extremely difficult in my real life that could not be prevented. However, I am working on it and my life has settled down immensely since then. If you choose me, I will be active. If I am a staff member somewhere, I intend to see it through. I think my history proves that I have been a steady member of many sites for many years, and I have been loyal to this site for over two years. I do not plan on abandoning this site, and I love it to bits and pieces. I was feeling really hesitant at applying for a minute there, but I think my qualifications and good aspects outweigh that, and for this reason, I hope you consider me. I appreciate your time and honesty, and I would like the position to go to whoever you think is the best candidate, whether that is me or not. Thank you.

Now without further ado, I will answer your question: HGRPG is one of my priorities, and it is because I love this site with all of my heart. It has gotten me through many good and bad times, and I feel like I have a solid friendship with many, many members here. Heck, I have a lot of you guys on facebook, and I would not do that if I didn't feel like this place was one of my homes. I also enjoy meeting all the new members that come to this site, and I feel that I am welcoming towards them. There has been many times where somebody new would message me, asking for help, and I would answer all of their many questions. I roleplay with some of the newer members too, and have provided feedback on their writing and development in the past. 

There have been many, many times where somebody would ask me to read over a character they were working on and give them feedback. I have helped people with their characters until they were ready to be accepted. I have also, on a rare occasion, helped a staff member with accepting a bio by giving them a second opinion through an unbiased eye. I feel like I have enough experience in understanding and accepting characters that I would excel at this particular duty.

I also have a lot of experience dealing with problem members on my other sites. I have issued warnings, talked through disputes, and helped with rule enforcing. I feel that I am a gentle but honest person, both when I am in a position of authority and when I am simply a member providing somebody with input. Sometimes I have said the hard word, the one that would get through to somebody. Sometimes I am the one giving encouragement. 

I gained experience leading in my alliance in the sixty-fifth games. I helped calm emotions and work out a plan, along with our mentors, Python and Kay. I then went on to mentor several tributes in the sixty-sixth games. I also have served as emotional support for many of the members here, both in the games and out of them.

Overall, I feel that I am a good candidate because I know what I'm doing, am well liked on the boards, and really enjoy helping out. I have coached many new people through various things on this site, from creating a character, to combat, to coding, to answering questions. I have a lot of experience and I feel that I get along with the current staff of the board. I know I have a lot to contribute and this has been proved through some of my site suggestions being put into action (most importantly, the site wiki). I would be a good member of the team, and it would be a blast to help out a site I love so much. Thank you for considering me. (:
