Francis ORCA
Name: Francis 'Frank' Orca
Age: 45
District: Two
Gender: Male
Codeword: Odair
"I built my family from the ashes, the dirt and the rust of District Two's lesser people. We are what becomes of effort, hard work and diligence."
Appearance
With a fair skin tone that shows he's not a house-stayer, Frank has the darkest brown you could know before it appeared only black. His hair is thick, and is usually short yet wavy, never straying to anything feminine though. His regard for a masculine look is more on the side of necessity, because of his past as a peacekeeper. His militaristic appearance is because of a hardened spirit and resolve. This is clear in how he looks - with rough skin and deep eyes. His eyes are brown, of course, as all of the Orcas spare a few. His eyebrows are akin to his children in that they are small and thick of the similar shade of brown as his hair is.
Where age is but a number, it is not as present on Frank as would be expected. Sure, he has a few wrinkles here and there, where any man would, but overall he still looks quite generally handsome and striking. His casual clothes range from t-shirt and black jeans, usually, to suits and ties, shirt and ties. Anything and ties. He's a smart man, and looks the part most of the time because of his job. He carries himself with a pride that is in disguise. He doesn't show off, so everything from the way he walks to the way he talks is done in a casual way, rather than a purposefully arrogant way. Though, if he is doing something that involves protecting his family, he always looks fierce. As though something else was driving him, inner rage and all of that.
Personality
Frank is a very wise man, it seems. It is clear that when you're talking to him, you're talking to somebody who knows what he is talking about because of what he's done in his life. He pours out an aura that can suggest you can trust what he is saying, or resent it because it is the truth. He doesn't like lies, and doesn't dabble in deception. He likes truths, because they are blunt and factual. They are exactly what he wants to teach his children. Truths build truth representations, he thinks. If you build your children's lives in lies, they will not know the truth of anything. They will be naive, and unaware to the realities of life. Because of this, he is quite a stern man, somebody who has little regard for the concealing of the truth. He tells it how it is, and does it how he sees it done.
As a family man, he loves everyone in his household to the core. His two twin sons, Tyren and Alex, are everything he ever wanted his children to be. He has so much pride for them, but also a defense mechanism for them too. He wants to protect them with all his power, because he used to be a peacekeeper. He brought them up in his image entirely. Not out of arrogance, though. When he's at home, he's looking after his little four year old son, Tyler. He's a family man because he loves to be there for his children in the same way his father was there for him. He wants the family name to live on with good people, not just in vain.
Away from the family, Frank is a cold man. Somebody who has been hardened by the experiences around him and somebody who definitely doesn't put up with any bullshit from anyone. He really is the most fearless person you could meet, simply because he puts himself in the vanguard for every fight, every conflict. He wants himself to be the image of the family because he knows he is strong, he knows he is brave. He knows that if he acts like all of those things, his family will follow suit and they'd be a million times as strong as they are now. His mind is what made the family successful in the first place, so he feels a responsibility to maintaining that.
He is massively protective over both his family and his business. His business is a construction and mining corporation. It has rivals, and they're beginning to find new ways in bringing down his business and he needs to look for allies, and people who will help in the political ambushes that lay ahead of him. He knows this, so he's quite wary of other people, especially the Pera family, who are the main rivals out there.
History
Born to two very loving parents forty five years ago, Frank was brought up to respect every little thing that he was given. He wasn't given much at all. He never starved, that much he can remember. But he definitely didn't have everything he wanted. It just wasn't possible with such a small family. But that's how everyone starts out. Start small, build and build, his father would say. His father was in the middle of building up a business when he and his wife decided to start a family. It was early in their lives, and had to be. They were only around twenty when they had their first child, which was Francis. Then it was Maryln and then Michael. Francis was always the big brother, and always helped his younger brother and sister whilst they grew up. They were a gang together. At that time, he wanted to be a peacekeeper. His father didn't approve at all, but it wasn't in his control. Once a child wants that for themselves, they're going to get a chance at it.
When it came to it, though, Francis was a little brute. He would always be called in for breaking rules, or the little laws that were set for the cadets. He trained at the Peacekeeper Academy in District Two, like most. This was during his relationship with Cecilia, his current wife. It wasn't permitted to maintain a relationship once you had became a peacekeeper, so it was his understanding that she would never be something long term, unless they kept it a secret. They did their best, and at times it was tough. But she fell pregnant during his time as a peacekeeper. At the age of twenty seven, she was with children. Not a child, children. Francis was also twenty seven. Francis had to stay in the peacekeeper ranks if he had any chance at providing funds for them. But he also had to keep it a complete secret in fear of getting fired and probably punished too. He visited her as much as possible. As much as he could without arousing suspicion. He was a proper Peacekeeper by then. There was no going back.
She had the children, and he wasn't able to be there for the birth. It would have been too suspicious. But they had agreed on names. Tyren and Alex. Alex because of Frank's uncle, and Tyren because of his father, Tyran. Non-identical twins, and he couldn't properly look after them. Not now, and not for another eleven years. All he could do was visit on his days off. That's as much as any father could do, but it was worse knowing that nobody could know they were his kids. During the eleven years that he spent visiting, the relationship between him and Cecilia grew very strong. They weren't just trying to make it work, it was a strong bond that they both knew would last. It was mainly because they both wanted him to stay and be with the kids all their lives.
He could stand seeing them with their toys, waiting at the door. It hurt him to know that he couldn't stay as long as he wanted.
The desire to properly look after them fueled him to finish his Peacekeeper time, twenty whole years. From eighteen to thirty eight. By this time, the kids were eleven and he could finally move in with Cecilia. Legally, the children can't be listed as his. But he pulled some strings here and there, and technically, they are. On paper, and everything. No suspicion was accounted for because he was a high rank in the Peacekeepers, he could alter the variables before he retired. And he did exactly that.
The family then had to grow. He finished what his father had started and he built up the company, enlisting the more distant Orca family members to come into the fold and join up with them. This ranged from Michael and Maryln, his brother and sister (who now have kids, too) all the way to his cousins and their children, too. Together, the family was strong. He knew this, and he wanted to be surrounded in family. He wanted his children to have the rest of their lives make up for what they had missed. He wasn't a stranger to his children, and was definitely not unwelcome as a permanent member of their lives. Tyren and Alex loved their father, and he loved them back just the same.
