Need an introduction!

Greetings!

Ok so I guess many people have already asked this very same question but I have literraly no idea on how this whole thing works.
I have experience on hunger games-roleplaying since I have participated in many games but on another website (www.polyvore.com). Lately I have been wanting to roleplay but haven't found any open reapings in polyvore so I decided to look for another website in which I could roleplay and so I landed here.
Since the very first moment I entered the page I loved it! (Having the pictures of the tributes in the home page is a superb idea!).
I tried to find my way in here and understand how this all works but I have to admit I have totally failed.

Well, summarized, I just wanted to know if someone would like to introduce me into this awesome page that seems too complicated for me to figure out on my own. 

I would really appreciate it and I would also love taking part in this roleplay ^-^

Hi Sherpai! First of all, welcome to the site. It is really great to have you here.

First things first, you are going to want to read the rules. That will cover the very basics. After that, our advertiser Saph made a very wonderful newbie guide. This should be a big help to just getting settled.

Once you have read the rules, you will want to make your first character. Saph linked to the roleplaying guide board, but I would specifically recommend this guide and this guide! They were loads of help for me when I first started here.

Here is the basic template for character bios, this may be really useful for you in your first bio. The staff also accept free-form biographies, but you still have to adhere to the site standard. That is 2 full paragraphs describing appearance, three for personality, and three for history. Check out some of the accepted bios if you want to see what the staff generally accepts. If a staff member feels that your biography is not long enough, or is not the quality we except, they will ask you to work on it and you will need to modify it to their standards. As you are working on your bio, make sure to put [WIP] in the title to indicate it is not complete. When you finish you just put something that shows you are done. I.e. [DONE] [FIN] [COMPLETE], etc. One important thing to remember: the staff members will expect you to include the codeword that you find in the rules. They will not accept your bio otherwise. You will find it in the underlined letters in each of the sections of the rules. You will recognize it once you find it!

Once your character is accepted, you are welcome to post in the district they are part of. You generally can ask in the cbox if anybody is looking to thread in that district. Worse comes to worse, you can make a starter and put the word [open] in your title. Generally somebody will join. (:
