The Games confusion

I have gone through and read some threads during some of the previous games and I am confused about how the games work fairly. How do you know when your character is dead and not just injured, and what does the whole dice thing have to do with anything? I understand in the games only one comes out alive. Is this predetermined by the staff? Do people get ganged up on? How is the equal footing maintained?

Hi there!!

We use the dice to determine characters' damages. Each dice roll number corresponds to a certain attack, and you can look up the attack that corresponds to the number you roll in the 'Attack Lookup' box on the left. A tribute dies when they reach 40 damage.
