Not the time for a joke, got it. Sometimes it just accidentally slips through Vy's lips and she's unable to help it. With the smile it occasionally brings, and frown of disapproval it more often triggers, it's a trademark about her she can't get rid of. Even in the worst of times, like this very serious dilemma for instants. Getting Kyanite to crack a grin would be worth anything, but it's not going to happen of course. How could it? She just found out she's pregnant at the age of seventeen. No words may be comforting this early in the discovery, as much as Vy wants to give them. Make this all go away and a good thing which has never been a goal of her's before, and now that it is it's an impossible task.
A light sigh escapes as she follows Ky's shift to the floor, bending at the knees with a small crack and balancing on her toes. The only thing she can give now is support, and she fully intends to with everything she has. Going through this very thing by herself, surprisingly being extremely close to this Brunette, she can't imagine doing anything else. Never has she pictured herself caring so much over someone else, but then again she never saw herself having a kid either, nor finding such a good friend. Surprises seem to be waiting around every corner, along with a sudden set of tears. Tears? Oh gosh, she only knows how to handle a toddler's cry. "Sorry." Unknown instinct kicks in as she rubs her friend's back and apologizes for the unnecessary humor. Clearly not everything can be solved with a hint of sarcasm.
The first and biggest fear is addressed as Kyanite expresses her concern in telling the father. Damn, so Vy really isn't the daddy. Well no shit. "You'll figure out how to tell him." She reassures with nothing else to give. Now that part she didn't go through. With a handful of possibilities, and all of them being horrible, she didn't bother trying to find and tell Brooklyn's father. Still hasn't, and most likely never will. Matthew's a lot different though, even if he does contain a lot of those same interesting traits. How he'll react is unknown, but he does deserve to know. When the two of them talked during camping, he claimed he would suck it up and be a father without an ounce of shame. Whether he'll respond that way now, to the real scenario, is the true deciding factor though. And either way Vy will be at Kyanite's side.
Sobs enhance and Vy wraps her arms around worried Kyanite as comforting words join in as well. Where this nurturing side came from is unknown, most likely Brooklyn though Ky's tittle is far from hers. All Vy can attempt is reassurance that everything's going to be okay. After all she went through it with even lower odds, Ky's going to be fine...great even. As her voice comes forth, Vy releases her from the supporting hug to fully listen. This early in the game will hold no confidence in the outcome, eventually though she'll realize just how strong she is to face this. "Nothing you can't handle." Vy informs when she questions what she has done, brushing away a Brunette lock that's already been soaked by tears. It's difficult seeing a pretty face cry, as if she shouldn't ever hold this much emotion. That's a selfish thing to think though.
A toddler far too enthusiastic for this situation takes it upon herself to intrude into the bathroom. "Momma...Ky ky." She continues to repeat as she giggles her way in. Not the time, but of course Brooklyn doesn't know that. The energy in the room does catch her attention though as her adorable grin fades down for a change. "Not now baby girl." Vy tries to redirect the little one to leave, but of course she doesn't. Instead her full innocent focus goes onto Kyanite as her tiny arms wrap around the older female.
"Why Ky ky sad?" Brooklyn questions with a sorrowful voice of her own.
