Lulianna Roxen

It's been an amazing day so far. The moon shines bright in the sky, and I'm standing here with my sister as she tells me it's okay for her to insult my family. What she doesn't know is, she is wrong. Nobody insults my family and gets away with it because it's wrong, and Milen has proved she is the lowest of the low. She's the one that started this all, and if it wasn't for her insulting me, I wouldn't have challenged her. I wouldn't have stepped out into the open wishing this upon her. I stand there waiting wondering what she's going to say, going to do. "Milen, Milen, Milen, we are going to be fighting with our fists, no weapons allowed. This is the best way to prove who is the best."

She accepted my challenge, and her accepting the challenge means the world to me. It's time to show her that I am better, that I'm not the wimp she sees me as being. I hate Milen, and I will destroy her. I promise she'll never look at me as being a dumb bitch again. My eyes widen as I stare at her. "Milen, I hope you're prepared to lose because I'm going to win. I'll make you regret everything that you've ever done. I am not the fool you think I am." I take a deep breathe before moving around, watching her. Waiting for the perfect moment to strike. One thing I was taught in training is to watch and wait. Sometimes it can pay off knowing what the opponent is going to do rather than just striking them down.

It's not that I hate her, and that I want her dead, I do hate her, and I do want her dead, but I want the bragging rights. I want to prove to her, and to everyone that I am better than her. It'll be the best moment in my entire life. I will make Mizar proud by killing the snobby little brat that insulted her death. It'll be the best moment of all time knowing that I have done something right. I take a deep breath, my heart races under my chest as adrenaline surges through my veins. "Come at me sis with everything you have, and I will do the same. Don't take it easy because this isn't supposed to be easy. Fight with everything you have."

I stand prepared holding my ground. It's time to fight. It's time to kill. Maybe my family will wake up seeing what's going on. Maybe the rest of the family will see that I am not weak. It's time my name is changed. I will no longer he known as the wimpy kid. Today I'll start standing up for myself because that's the best thing to do. Milen is the weak one, the insecure one, the one that will pay for her crimes. I will be the judge, and I will provide the execution. It's time for this to begin. I hope she screams because it'll be music to my ears. A large grin grows on my face spreading from ear to ear. I'm ready to fight for the first time in my entire life.

Ugh, this was going to be to easy. Milen could already imagine pounding her big sister into the ground. That warm thought comforted her. She got that warm fuzzy feeling Careers get when they think about murdering their older sisters. Milen smiled and almost burst out laughing. "Those them fighting words." She said in a mock cowboy accent. She changed her voice to a cheery little girl voice, "Yay! Hand to hand mortal combat! I like the feeling of blood on my hands!"

She changed her voice again back to normal with a smirk on her face, "And no, I will be the one winning this." She looked Lulianna up and down. "Nope. I don't think your a fool. I know Your a fool. Milen walked over and stood on one side for her room tending her muscles for the fight, but still with a smooth smirk on her face.

"And don't worry little girl. I won't hold back just like how Henry Fleet didn't." Milen knew the Henry Fleet comment was sure to throw Lulianna off. I mean, she does know her own sister.

The name Henry Fleet burns through my veins like a fire. His name isn't welcomed in this house. He betrayed her. He killed her and tried to kill the other ally. Henry Fleet got what he deserved when the mutt bashed his brains in. Milen knows that his name isn't welcomed, but she says it, taunting me. My hatred for her has grown to a new level. I didn't think it was possible to hate someone as much as I hate the fool who killed her. Mizar didn't deserve death by betrayal. She deserved so much better. Everyone in the games deserves so much better than what they are given; even the victor deserves a life that isn't lived with grief and torment. Milen doesn't deserve the name of a Roxen. She doesn't deserve the name she live with right now because she's a disgrace. The name Henry repeats itself over and over in my skull. My hands ball into fists holding them carefully down by my side. I hate him, and I hate her. Milen deserves to cry right here in front of me. I will make her scream.

"Don't you ever say his name again. You are a disgrace Milen. You don't deserve the love my parents give you. I will kill you. I promise you. I will destroy your life just as you have destroyed mine. You are the foolish one." My feet move around her room as my heart prances under my chest. My breathing picks up as my hands shake from anger. I hate her. I really hate this girl, and she'll never be known as my sister. I refuse to call this whore part of my family. Henry Fleet got what was coming for him and the same will happen to Milen. She'll be destroyed by my hands for everyone to see. I will be the victorious one of this entire night. Maybe it'll bring us closer together, but I seriously doubt it. I'll never love her, and I'll never care for her because she doesn't appreciate the love my family gives her. She's not even fully related to me, and I promise she'll regret everything that she's ever done. "Bring it on sis. Bring it on."

I charge at her with my hands held high prepped to break her nose. It'll be the easiest decision in the whole world. She'll never push me around again. She'll never make fun of me again. Oh how I want her to fall. I take a deep breath and continue running towards her as fast as I possibly can. When I'm feet away from her, I lunge attacking prepped to make her pay.

Milen actually got frightened for a moment. Then she stopped to look at the scene and it was comical. Lulianna had her hands outstretched and had a look on her face which made her look like a puppy springy up to give a lick. I mean seriously how scary is that.

Then Milen's nose broke.

Milen dabbed at her eyes before looking at Lulianna calmly, blood running out of her nose. "Oub." She said regularly as if it didn't hurt her, "Or dot." Milen studied Lulianna her older sister. What would be the best way to attack her? Maybe the flattery defense? To copy ones move. Well, Milen wasn't aiming for a broken nose. She was aiming for more.

"Here we go." She said as she lunged excitedly at Lulianna, "This is fun!"

Blood pours from her face. It's amazing knowing how strong this little career is. It's what I wanted for her nose to be broken, and considering I was the one to break it makes things a whole lot better. I look around wondering what's going on. Perhaps she'll attack me the same way I attacked her. Maybe she'll try to counter my movements, but that isn't going to happen. She will lose, and no matter what happens, one of us will be the best. I wouldn't put it past Milen to blame it on having a bad day and that she wasn't trying, yet she should know that when I said attack with everything she had, it's what I meant. I take another deep breath as she starts lunging at me. All I have to do is move out of the way by taking a step to the right and she misses me completely. And here I am thinking this big career of a sister is strong and that she wouldn't miss no matter what happened.

"What's going on Milen? Aren't you a career? Aren't you supposed to be better than me? Fight harder!" I want her to fight with everything like she would if we were in the arena together. I know that's impossible, but that's what I'm wanting. It's what I'm looking for. I take another deep breath before looking around wondering what my next move will be. I will be stronger than her. I will be stronger than Mizar ever thought about being. I will show my parents I'm worth loving because I am the best in this house hold. I ain't the weakling they want me to be. It's time I step up and take Mizar's place now that she's gone. Maybe one day I'll volunteer for the games just like she did, but for now, I must prove myself in this fight with the ugly step child. I place my hands by my side and take off running at Milen again

"Give me a reason to fight harder. Make me mad. Make me prove that I am the best because right now you sure ain't doing a good job at it. Fight me!" my voice laced with anger as I lunge towards Milen again hoping to land another good blow.

Milen fell to the ground astonished. She was scared now. Lulianna really wanted to kill her. Milen's face was a mask of horror. Even for being extremely angry at Milen, Milen had no idea Lulianna would try to kill her! Blood poorer out her nose and Milen looked up bravely. "So, trying to be like you little sister now are you?" After Lulianna had shouted angrily, "Get up you little coward! Get up!"

Milen hated being called a coward so she looked up at her older sister again. "Your right. I'm a little coward." Milen laughed a tiny bit as some blood fell out of her nose, "I'm only a little coward though!" She yelled angrily as she jumped up swiftly.

"You really ready for this sis?" Milen asked joyfully. This was fun. "Ready or not! Here I come!"

My heart races under my chest as my breathing increases. My hands shake at my side uncontrollably. I hate her. My eyes wide as the blood still pours from her face. That was the best moment ever, and I can't help but laugh. Milen is the strong one, or that's what she says all the time. She's the one that takes up career training. When I'm standing at the training center, training for the games is far from my mind. Mizar did in the games, and hopefully my name will never be called because I don't ever want to die in the arena for the entire nation to see. "I will never be like you Milen. I will never insult the death of a family member. I will never tell someone how they should feel. I will never laugh because someone died." My voice firm as the words fly into the air.

My eye fix on her as she moves around the floor. It's her time to move, and it's up to me to be expecting it, but I still get it wrong. She jumps from the floor quickly kicking me in the shin. My head tilts a bit towards the side staring at her grateful the bone didn't crunch from the force. "Kicking like a little girl. Is that all you got, Milen? Is that all you're capable of doing? A mighty career like yourself should be able to do better than that." My eye fly around the room amazed that nobody else in the house has woken up and from the ruckus we are causing.

I take another deep breath before turning my gaze back towards my little sister. It's time for her to fall down to the earth of the pedestal she's standing on. I will teach her she's not the best there ever was. I will make sure she pays for everything she's done for me. Maybe if Mizar had this kind of strength living inside her, she'd made it home from the games. Maybe she would have brought honor to our family, but she did no such thing. A large grin laced with malice grows on my face as I stand my ground and attack.

It's obvious right away the blow isn't like the one that broke her nose, but it's still enough to maybe knock some sense into this crazy sister. "Fight me Milen! Fight me with everything you have! Milen shook with laughter as she fell to the floor after getting hit in the head. Her head was throbbing and her nose was bleeding uncontrollably, but this was what she wanted. She actually wanted a sister that made her proud. Milen smiled at Lulianna. "Why don't you just go for the kill Lulianna? Or are you just to much of a coward like our dear sister Mizar. If you Miz her so Muzch why don't you send me to her with a love letter from you?"

Milen smirked as she purposely said Z is in Miss and Much. She wanted Lulianna to kill because she knew killing changed people. Once her sister was changed Milen knew that she would be happy. The problem also was, she didn't want to die today.

Loud roars of laughter escape from my lips flying into the air. I am enjoying each and every second of this. Watching Milen fail with every attack she makes brings great joy in my life. She's the career in the house. She's the one that trains for the games, but today will be the day that I destroy her. I will reign in this family. Unlike Muscinda, I won't crack under the pressure and commit suicide. Maybe I've already cracked because watching the blood pour from Milen's broken nose is amazing. It's the best feeling in the world knowing that I am the one that hurt her. Not me someone else.

She talks about dying and taking a letter to Mizar. Mizar, my sister, the one who I cared for so much, the one that walked away into the arena with the attempts of bringing joy to the family, the girl who failed miserably in the arena, isn't a coward. Killing her wouldn't satisfy me. She wouldn't be alive to celebrate my victory over her. She wouldn't be alive watching me thrive as she falls towards the ground, and the stupid little pun she places on the phrase shoots straight through me. "I'll write her a letter, but you won't be the one sending it to her. What good would it be if I killed you right now? You wouldn't be around to watch me thrive."

Every word bounces around my skull repeating over and over. I hate her, and I want her to die, but now isn't her time. She must suffer the same fate as Mizar. She must die in the games because it'll only prove that cocky people can't win. I place on foot in front of the other as my face is wiped clean of emotions. Hatred pulses through my veins as my eyes gaze into her's.

Milen was on the ground again. This time she was crying. Milen was hurting so much. She looked up at Lulianna and said with blood leaking out of her nose. "Please just kill me." Milen shrieked in pain as her sister kicked her foot hard. "Tell me when you've had enough, Milen, and I will stop, but until then, you must pay for everything you have ever done." Milens eyes blazed at this. She wiped the tears away with her good hand and stared up at her sister. "What have I ever done to you? Mizar was a weakling and I was trying to help you realize that."

Milen believed this with all her heart. From the consistent brainwashing from the capitol at school and in the training center Milen believed that anyone who died in the hunger games were unworthy. "Mizar showed why district four hadn't had won a hunger games in years!" Then Milen looked up at her sister. "And if you aren't ready to kill then you are just like her."

Milen swung her good arm at Lulianna as hard as she could.

She cries, she screams, and a grin laced with malice spreads wide across my face. She needs to pay for everything that she has done. It's hard not to laugh when she tells me to kill her. I want to kill her, but it's not my job. I will not murder my sister, and if she doesn't understand that she's undeserving of my love anyway. My eyes stay fixed on her as fire surges through my veins. My cheeks burn red with frustration. If she wants to die so bad, she can go kill herself just like Muscinda did. She'll be the weak one. Not me, not Mizar, her. "Mizar had more strength than you'll ever imagine. She volunteered for the games! Not you! Her! She wasn't a weakling because she did. She'll never be a weakling. So it's in your best interest to stop saying that!" She makes contact with my foot, and it hurts, but the adrenaline surging through my veins masks the pain temporarily.

Mizar isn't weak. Mizar wasn't a mistake. She's strong. She's amazing, and I miss Mizar, I miss Muscinda. Everything about them breaks my heart. I want Mizar back. She understood me. She cared about me, but nothing in the world will bring her back. She was the one that could calm me down, but nobody can stop me now. Nobody knows how to break the tears that pour from my eyes at night as they taunt me telling me I'm no good, that I'll never be good enough. "Shut up Milen! Just shut up! Let me see you volunteer for the games! Let me see how long you last in the arena. Let us see how good you really are. You know what, Milen? I'm not afraid to kill you. I'd kill you in a heart beat, but what good would that do? I want you to be around whenever I enter the games and prove how worthy I am."

I shift my feet under the weight of my body.

Milen stared Lulianna right in the eye, the remains of blood trickling out of her nose. "That was all I needed to hear, but I'm still not finished yet sis." Milen still wanted to get at least one good hit in.

My jaw clenches shut as she speaks. Red spots flash before my eyes as my hands shake at my side. My heart races under my chest as I look at her listening to everything she's saying. She isn't the smartest person in the world. My tongue slides across my lips the moment she makes contact with my leg. It doesn't hurt - nothing hurts right now. My eyes fix on her as ringing roars in my ears deafening me. My hand slides along the side of my ears trying to block out the horrible sound, yet it's impossible. Slowly, I take a deep breath keeping my eyes fixed on her wondering if she's going to move, or if she's going to stand there like a coward. She's the coward for making fun of my family. She's the one that everyone hates. I am not weak. I am strong, and I am going to prove it to her right now.

"You want me to kill. You want me to train. You want me to be strong. I am strong, Milen. I can kill. I will be the killer. I will hunt you down and tear you from limb to limb if you ever make another comment about Mizar again. Let her rest in peace. Let her live a peaceful death because her life wasn't nearly as peaceful as it should've been." My words fly through the air making me cringe. My stomach twists inside my abdomen as my eyes turn away from her for just a moment. I hate her. I hate everything about her. I will kill her. I will destroy her right here in front of the entire family. She needs to die. She needs to pay. I will kill her.

I line my feet up preparing my next attack.

Milen smiled happily. Her sister was in the red zone. She could tell from facial training from the career center. He sister was doing what the careers call the "Bull Reaction." All careers know to never go into that stage of blind rage. As Lulianna lunged at Milen but immediately hit the wall. Milen felt really week right now but she wanted to win badly. "Sure your gonna kill me sis." Milen said in a mocking tone looking pitifully at her older sister. Why can't she just see the truth that the capitol and the hunger games are amazing.

"Is this the best you got at killing me sis?" Milen asked, "And I doubt you could hunt down an elephant if you tried." She said before lunging again at Lulianna, blood dripping everywhere.

Nothing makes sense anymore. My cheeks burn red as my blood boils inside my veins. My head throbs each time my heart beats. Red flashes before my eyes over and over again. Milen needs to learn not to mess with me. She needs to understand that I am not a weakling, and I am going to show that to her. Ringing roars loud in my ears making it impossible to hear. My tongue slides along my teeth as my jaw clenches tight. My hands ball into fists at my side. I hate how she thinks she's better than me. In my eyes, she's the stupidest girl alive. She should have known not to mess with me, and now I'm going to teach her a lesson. I am going to show that I am the best there ever was. I am the one that will win this war raging on between us. Today she will learn not to mess with me ever again.

She swings her feet around making contact with my feet knocking me towards the ground. My arms extend in front of me catching the weight of my body. My hands hit the ground hard. My elbows almost buckle under the small amount of weight. My hair falls forward become tangled. Sweat pours from my brow. Quickly, I jump back up on my feet. My eyes fix upon her, the prey. I will be the predator attacking her. I will destroy her. I will kill her. "Tell me when you are done, Milen. Tell me when you've had enough. I will kill you if that's what you want. Do you want to live or die?" My voice shakes as my feet move into position ready to attack once more.
