An interesting character question

Hi so I was thinking of making a new character when I realized I wanted to make this kid in a wheel chair due to some disease or another. However, I'm not sure are kids in the districts allowed to have wheel chairs since I don't see that many XD and the second question is would they ever be able to get reaped?

My character, Selene Basteen-DeDuro, is physically and mentally disabled. Her sister pushes her around in a wheelchair so I think it's ok because Selene was accepted by the staff. Also, all kids ages 12-18 have to to into the reaping no matter what I believe.

Yes that's absolutely fine. There are plenty of characters with physical and/or mental disabilities, and it's good that you're exploring that. Wheelchairs would be available in all districts, but they wouldn't be of a good quality. Districts 1 and 2 may well have electric wheelchairs, depending on how rich the family is.

As for the Reaping, like Puppy said, they have to be entered regardless of disability. In the 62nd Games we had a character called Bran (Played by Rosetta) who couldn't walk, and he had to be carried by another tribute for the entire Games (and he still came 4th!). Bare in mind this would have implications on the Games, ie. you wouldn't be able to flee a fight without assistance.

Speaking of not being able to flee without help: Do you remember the 65th games? The district one female had to be carried by Iago, the d9m, because the Jabberwocky broker her legs.
