Name: Leo Pine
Age:1819 as of 70th
Gender: Male
District:TwoOne (after Olympics following 67th) Note: Permission given by Aya for district change
Appearance:
Looks like you'll be busy a while staring at me as you try to figure me out. Stare all you want because it's not going to change me. If I was any shorter, you might look over my head seeing as I'm standing six foot one inch from the ground. A lot of the guys I know are taller than me, but it doesn't make a difference. Never underestimate the power living inside someone based off looks. My hair is soft and blonde with more hair on the top of my head and less hair on the sides. It looks best that way in my opinion. Bright blue eyes sit deep within the sockets scanning through the room wondering why you're staring at me? Is there something in my pearly white teeth? Is my nose too crooked for you? Are my ears just a bit too large for you? Do you think I look funny?
Maybe I do look funny, but laughing at me may be your last mistake. My left cheek sits farther down on my face because my eye socket was broke before. When I was least expecting it, something hard swung by a foolish pig slammed into my eye. It hurt, but pain isn't going to last forever. Muscles cover my body from all the training I've done. Training is my life as I always want to make myself stronger. I dress how I please. Usually my clothes are neat, but at times they can be sloppy as wrinkles cover the clothing. You're lucky if I have a cleanly shaved face because facial hair spreads across my skin like a wildfire burning in the wilderness. My skin is slightly pale matching my pale lips. My voice is deep when I speak. I want it to be deep because it can scare people into thinking someone is out to get them. Now, please, stop staring at me.
Personality:
All I want in life is to prove how strong I am. Being a career is amazing. Every moment I stand in the training center fighting with weapons brings a huge smile upon my face. The sole purpose of training is so when the time comes, I can make people scream as my weapon slices through their body. Watching people beg for mercy as I stand superior to them is the only way life should be worth living. Not a single person in life matters because there is one ultimate goal; to go into the games and prove that I am the best alive. One by one people will fall by my hand, and only laughter will be flying freely from my lips because another man's suffering is my gain. Don't get me wrong there is more to life than being a career, but why choose that life? Why be hurt when I can hurt other people?
Some may say I'm cruel, but it's the only way life should be. Only the cruel survive especially in the games. I must break my body down to disregard all human life if I want to stand a chance. People don't mean a thing to me because once they die, their life is gone forever. They won't come back, and knowing the person will never see the eyes of their killer again brings amazing joy to my life. One by one the heads of every single person standing in front of my way will fly from their bodies and laughter will be all anyone hears. I don't care if I stopped a family from seeing their loved one again. People die, people kill, and people survive. I will be one of those people who kill and survive. In the world we live in it's either kill or die. I'd like to be on the side that kills for a living rather than rot in the ground only to be forgotten.
I don't know who I am, though, after I watched someone who looks exactly like me travel through the 66th games. He's the one that I stayed focused on, like something was drawing me to him, but I've never seen this guy in my entire life. It's all I can do but wonder if my entire life has been a lie, but why would my parents lie to me? I want to be the best I can be, but nobody understands what it's like watching yourself die in the games. He was a clone, and I'll be the better clone because he wasn't me. I was him, but nothing makes sense. He had the same ideas as me and everything, but mine are more in depth. The only question brought before my mind now is, who am I and why is my life a giant lie? I had been so sure of myself. So sure that I knew my direction in life. After seeing that man die in the games my life is now in question. Am I truly alive if I'm going to be mistaken for someone else?
History:
Father isn't in my life. It's strange not knowing who he is because nothing rings a bell. When I try to remember what he looks like, nothing comes to mind. He's a worthless piece of trash because I never did anything wrong. All I ever did was try to grow up. Many times I questioned my mom asking about him, but she never gave me any straight forward answers. She always tells me the same thing over and over again about how he kicked us out like we were nothing, like we didn't matter. I was only a year old. Why would my own father kick my mother out? What could have happened between them? I'm afraid that answer will always be a mystery to me. I ask myself what I did to deserve it, but I wasn't deserving of it. My father was in the wrong, and he best hope I never find him.
At a young age, my mom entered me into the career academy. It wasn't easy at first as I watched all the older kids slicing weapons through the air like it was nothing. The first time I held a sword was the day a smile grew on my face forever. It was like love at first sight because it fit perfectly. The weight was perfect, and it was easy to learn how to slice it through the air. I watched the moves of the trainer copying them with everything learning step by step what to do. My feet moved the way his did, and it finally paid off. One day I sliced the arm off the dummy, and fake blood spurted across the room. That was the best day of my life, and that's the day I grew to love watching blood be shed.
As I got older, the longer I would spend at the career academy training for the games. I would listen as people talked about honoring the district by being in the games. One day, my goal is to volunteer for the games, to show the district I am the best. Every weapon that was placed before me was perfect, but the sword is my favorite. My life changed, though, as I watched someone who looks exactly like me travel through the games carrying a sword just like the first one I ever placed my hands on. It was impossible for me to be in the games because I was still at home waiting for the right chance to volunteer. This guy, my clone, volunteered before me, and I watched him die in the games, and that is a tough blow to deal with because now everything I believe in comes into question.
