Appearance:

         Luca is tall and lean, much like most boys that don't live in the capitol. There isn't a lick of muscle on this kids bones. He tends to stay pale, no matter how much sun he gets. If anything, he'll turn red. There's no tanning in between, just pale or red. Due to his skins sensitivity to the sun, he's developed several moles here and there, most noticeably on his face. He keeps his dark brown hair short on the sides and longer on the top. He's gotten this haircut ever since he was little but for some reason it's just now gotten popular amongst other boys he sees around school.

        He's got a thin face and his body wears his skin almost as if it's too tight. If you see Luca on a normal day, he usually has a goofy face on. Although he normally makes silly facial expressions, when you see his face at rest his eyes slant downwards in an almost droopy manner. And the corner of his lips make a natural frown. He normally gets mistaken to be younger that he really is due to his smaller stature. He's 5'7'' and 130 pounds so there's no doubt he's a relatively small guy.  

Personality:

    Luca is an idealist. He's always trying to find ways to look out for everyone's best interest. He believes that one day he'll do something to make a difference in this world. He's always looking to understand and help others. He's a phenomenal listener and will always give, whether it's a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. Since childhood, Luca's always been obsessed with the time old question, "what is the meaning of life." It's consumed and confused him for years. He's a borderline perfectionist. There's no turning back once he's set a goal for himself. It will be accomplished at all costs, as long as it doesn't interfere with anyones happiness or his little rule book he's set up for himself.

Luca heavily relies on his intuition to lead him in most situations. He trusts his gut over most anything else. Given that, he also go to great lengths to avoid confrontation. He would much rather talk things out in a calm manner rather than yell or fight. Although he is a great mediator and enjoys helping others who are in a conflict come to a solution for their problem. Luca does not do well with facts or logic. He's always been all about following his heart. Show him in a sentence in a book and he'll trust his or other's feelings over some text on a piece of paper. In Luca's spare time, he enjoys writing and drawing out comic books. The main character of his comic shares his ideals and outlook on life. Luca will write in characters that his comic book hero encounters based on people that he meets in real life. This essentially spawned from his want to always help and save people from the hardships of life. 

A soul mate. Luca doesn't talk about it much but whenever he goes out into town or to an event, he's constantly scanning the crowds for who that person could be. His heart feels heavy after every reaping, wondering if the female who was chosen to essentially die could have been her. He yearns for the romantic companionship, for that spiritual connection. Someone who could word for word share his interest and partake in the things he loves. He's a stereotypical hopeless romantic. Most days, he finds time to contemplate who the perfect woman would be. Someone who could help reveal every extent of his identity that he's constantly searching for. 

History:

Luca wrote his own personal rule book when he was eleven. It was essentially like his bible. He promised himself that he would always been kind and always do his best to help others and make a difference. It spawned from years of standing on the sidelines during injustice and watching others get mistreated or bullied. He vowed that no matter what kind of trouble he may get in that he would always stand up for the weak or innocent. He rule book consisted of things such as women and young children always take priority, always take the time to give to those less fortunate than yourself, always talk things out as opposed to picking a fight and countless other. This book was his life and he never, under any circumstances went against it. He's never felt the urge to. It's always easier to follow rules when you set them for yourself. 

He dealt with a lot of bullying throughout school due to always standing up for the downtrodden. Of course the 'popular' kids had a problem with someone going against them, after they were so used to being able to rule the school without any protest. He had no problem dealing with it. He was great with words and could talk his way out of any situation to avoid a fight. This only angered the popular kids more and resulted in Luca taking a few beatings. But out of those few, not once did ever raise a hand against another being. When they were through with him, he'd just offer to listen if they ever needed to talk about their anger issues. It got to the point where they knew Luca had a spirit that couldn't be broken and moved on. 

Luca has three sisters and two brothers. They were all back-to-back babies. He was the second born child of the bunch and always felt it to be his job to keep his family sane and steady. He disengaged fights, served as someone to vent to whether it be heartbreak to gossip and drama. Luca was the shrink of the family. He never pushed his idealist life style on any of his siblings but could only hope that one day they would share how he felt. Both his parents are power plant workers. They worked the majority of the time so Luca and his older brother, Cross took care of the majority of the homely things for their younger siblings. Cross was soon to begin working at the power plant as well, leaving Luca to care for their three sisters and one other brother on his own.
