KADENLORE
The bottle was no longer in my hand but rolling from the table, flying threw the air, before smashing into the ground, gravity causing it to break into millions of pieces. I smile, as the remanning liquid seeped threw the broken glass like lava flowing from a volcano, littering the cement around it in a puddle of fiery liquid. I reach out to the bar keeper asking for another drink, but he only isles at me and pushes my hand away gently, telling me that he thinks that I have had enough. Some people may have bite his tongue off right then and there, telling him to go fuck himself, but not me. I just allow my smile to grow wider in a thank you that I knew he would understand because he knew me, for years I had come to this exact bar, in this exact spot, where I would leave, my arm weaved through the arm of another. But not tonight.
“Going home alone, I see,.” He says with an easy smile, leaning over the counter, his clear blue eyes studying me carefully. The man- his name slipped sat on the edge of my tongue, just out of reach- must be around my own age- a few years older maybe, I wasn't quite sure. My own murky green eyes study him just as intently, only they were not clear and a bit hazy, the alcohol in my system making my eyes not be able to focus on the boy as mush as I would have liked to.
“It appears that way,” usually a persons voice would be slurred but not mine as I have had years of experience, years of mastering how to keep my voice level and clear when intoxicated. The boys smiles only grows and I watch as he flips the cloth in his hands over his shoulder and rests his fore arms on the table, obviously showing off the muscles which hugged his arms tightly.I smile inwardly my eyes starling up the delicious looking arms before meeting with his eyes once again. This time they danced with mischief, his lips curling back in a grin as words slipped past his pale pink lips.
“Well I finish in an hour or so if you want to hang around for a bit…?” he leaves the question in the air, which makes me climb off my still and lean over the counter which separated the two of us. I place a kiss on the boys cheek pulling away with a smile that was full of amusement. I knew he was joking because he said this every time I left the bar on my own, a joke which we had been sharing for a good ear now. “I’ll meet ya outside,” the wink that follows is something that comes easily to me, almost a reflex.
I turn away from the bar counter with a small wave and a swish of my hips, my feet carrying me, rather unsteadily, towards the door which had the sign exit printed on it in writing that was so small the words blurred and danced before me. I hear a small chuckle from behind me as I enter the streets, the door closing, cutting off the warm laugh of the boy behind the counter- Jacob, that was his name. Nice boy he was Only ever hooked up with him one, that didn't last longer than a kiss, but that was because he was a decent guy and he could see just how drunk I was. Usually someone would take advantage of that, they would see how far they could get with me, but he didnt. He just carried me up the stairs that lead to his apartment and tucked me into bed where I passed out moments later. Usually I didn't drink to get drunk,. I drank to catch my prey before allowing them to take me home where I would please them before taking something away with me- their money along with anything else I thought would be nice to place on my wall of trophies.
Tonight I had not been on the look out, instead indulging myself in drink after drink my body becoming heavier after each bottle. Training today had worked me to the bone and I was tired and I just wanted to have some fun, and let my hair lose, my eyes not on the prowl. It had turned out to be a good night, my attention caught by a few guys which talked to me and expected nothing more. It was nice for a change, to be able to talk with someone knowing that that was all that was expected. I didn't have many friends, Jacob and a few other being the only ones that actually knew my true intentions.
My feet carry me down a street, one that was empty, the echoes of my footsteps filling my ears and making me feel oddly uncomfortable. I was in no state to protect myself tonight, having gone a little to far with the amount of alcohol I had allowed my body to digest. Fighting away the uncomfortable feeling I continue on with my walk, my eyes plastered to the ground, my arms hugging my dark coat around me tighter.
