Personality:
Kylie is a fast runner. She is known as a ditzy, bubbly, and cheerful person who rarely gets angry. She is a little bipolar too... It is possible that she is just very random, excitable, and maybe a little insecure, which sometimes comes in handy. She also have a good sense of humor, though she often takes a compliment as if you mean it to be offensive until you clarify it with her, because she gets offended easily. While Kylie is very friendly, her sensitivity, energy, and unusual thought processes make her somewhat difficult to be around without getting annoyed. She has an innocent demeanor and is often displayed as playful and harmless. While Kylie is cheery, bubbly, upbeat, energetic, and is smiling most of the time, she can be somewhat absent-minded, random, and slightly naive. Despite this, she has been shown to have some intelligence. Her fun-loving personality is evident in her frequent giggling and laughing. She can be very sensitive and her feelings are easily hurt, especially when yelling is involved. Kylie is also very flirtatious. She is happy-go-lucky, very bubbly, and lost in her own mind at times.
History:
Her mum met her step-dad when she was five. After he came into their lives, things changed. At times he could be ok, take them out as a family and stuff, but at other times he'd get into these nasty moods.
When he was in a mood and going at mum, she used to get between them, even though they both would yell at her to go to her room. Sometimes she got hit by him if she got in the way... but she hated to see mum get hurt.
One night she got home late and her little step-brother was crying, and her step-dad was screaming at her mum, she had a cut on her arm. He was really aggro and she saw him throw an ash-tray at her head. Mum said for her to take her brother and go next door, she looked so scared. The neighbours let them in and told her to call the police. She rang them and told them what was happening.
After about 10 minutes she heard the police drive up, and she could hear her step-dad yelling at them. One of the policemen came next door and told her that they had warned her step-dad that if it happened again he could get charged. They also told her that mum could go to the court for a protection order to stop him from coming near their house.
Even though things quietened down for a while, her step-dad didn't change his ways much. He used to hurt their cat, kick it or throw it around if he was mad. He used to pick on her step-brother too, saying he's turning into a wimp and stuff. She could never relax at home, she would have liked to stay out but she didn't want to leave her little brother there on his own. Eventually things with him went a bit quieter. Mum found another place to live and they moved there. Now her step-dad speaks to her mum on the phone but he isn't allowed to come to their place because mum got a court protection order. Recently he took mum to the Family Court because he wanted to see her step-brother. So now about once a month her step-brother has to go to an auntie's place to see him, but she don't.
Last month she went to counselling with her mum. She organised it. The counsellor was nice, she asked her to tell mum how she felt about everything. She asked mum why she didn't leave her step-dad earlier? She got upset and said she wanted to leave him but was worried about what he would do if she did. It was good because their got to hear how each other feels.
