Jay had been planning this party for weeks now. The party that would beat all other parties in District 4. It would be talked about for the next week or so. He wanted to do something for the Olympics and make sure that everyone enjoyed it and in the end, everyone wins from having loads of fun. The party was set for the night before the Closing Ceremonies, so they all can get a good night of fun before it's back to seriousness and reapings. Jay was just one guy, but his party had to be perfect. It was going to be on the beach, at night, where everyone could be running around, dancing, and many other things. Thoughts were occurring to Jay. What if people don't like the party. What if Jay failed. What if something went wrong. What if no one showed up. Jay shook himself out of his thoughts, he had been planning and setting up the party for days, and he was almost ready. Everything was in place.
Jay wanted this party to go off without a problem and be perfect. Jay wanted to be known by people. He didn't want to be known anymore as Mason's brother. He didn't want to be known as the failure that his family is. Jay clutched a beer bottle in his hand and took a swig of the beer, memories of the last few beers he had with other people. Jev Falls was one of them and it made him happy. Brody, the nice guy who had flirted with him. Jay was confident he could throw a good party. Jay was confident in himself. He's a new person. He's not the heartless jerk that he used to be. He's not the guy who broke down after Mason's death. He's not the Jackass who dated Curse just so he could feel something again.
The party was set. He had the stones set in place for the bonfire. He had the music system ready to play. He had quite a bit of alcohol. Earlier that day after his event, he had collected whatever he could find to burn in the bonfire to get it started. Jay had a sweatshirt on and it was already kind of cold out there. He was going to have a fun night, people were going to be talking to him and it would be great. Jay was excited. He couldn't contain his excitement. He had been spreading the party information all week. He had gone up to anyone and everyone and told them about it. He slipped invitations under doors and taped flyers in buildings. He wanted people to know, though he didn't mention alcohol or the bonfire, since he didn't want Peacekeepers finding out. They might take it down, but honestly he didn't care if he would get in trouble. He was more excited to meet new people and break his bubble.
Once it was dark, Jay began to lit the fire. Wood, paper, and cloth laid in the middle of the giant rock pit and Jay lit it. The flame grew bigger and bigger as the heat began to get overwhelming. Jay stepped back into the cooler air. The fire was brilliant. Jay couldn't help but smile at the fire as it glowed on the beach. If the flyers didn't work, the bonfire would attract people anyways. It was bound to work in his favor. Jay held his beer in one hand, leaning it back and taking another swig from it. His party was almost all set. He began to play some music and have it sound more like a party. Jay had a whole lot of alcohol that he had bribed a few people to get. It was harder than most people think to get alcohol. Jay had some connections though and had to give some of his special surf gear to get it, but it was a cost that he was willing to take.
Jay was checking the time. His party was officially ready to start. He had a bonfire going. He had music playing so people could dance or listen to. He had alcohol ready to go. He had everything prepared. Jay took a deep breath and prepared himself for the hurt of no one showing up or a huge party happening. It was a nice big party on the beach. People could go skinny dip or swim or dance or hand by the bonfire. People could sing and talk and even do romantic or sexy things. Jay didn't care as long as everyone has a great and wonderful time. A memory came back to Jay, the first party Jay had ever gone to that had alcohol.
Jay was around 16 or 17, Mason was still alive and was taking Jay to something special as Mason had called it. Jay had no clue what it was, but Mason blindfolded him and took him by his hand to the party. Once Jay was unblindfolded, people cheered and Jay was so intrigued by all the people and strange smells. Jay asked Mason what the smells were, but Mason just shook it off and went straight for a straight liquid. He grabbed another cup for Jay and that's the night Jay got addicted to beer. Jay took a sip and the flavor of the beer made him warm and feel good. Mason had told him this party was by the only kid Jay hoped it wouldn't be. His old middle school bully.
Jay had been having a great time at the party Mason had taken him to. He hadn't run into anyone he disliked. In fact, a guy had been dancing with him on the dance floor minutes ago. Jay had been having so much fun, that he forgot how much he was truly drinking. Him being a lightweight was the part that made it worse. Soon enough, Jay was wasted. He had been dancing very drunkenly and the alcohol on his breath was very prominent. Mason had went and found Jay and was trying to get Jay out of the house, but Jay was too drunk to even want to go. He wanted to party more and dance with Mason, but Mason was freaking out.
Jay's vision was blurring and the next thing he saw was a pissed guy looking at him. The guy was taller than him and Jay knew who it was. He just laughed and said, "Oh hey man, Niceeeee partyyyy you have hereee." Jay's voice had a bit of slurring here and there. The guy looked Jay in the eye or well the best he could and said, "Guys like you aren't allowed here. Get lost, bitch." That's when Jay swung, but was flipped onto the ground on his back. Jay got up and was trying to fight back, but it wasn't working. The guy punched Jay in the gut and the alcohol came back up and onto the guy. Jay vomited on the guy and with that, Mason dragged him home.
The next morning was hell for Jay, he woke up with a killer migraine, light was the worst for him. Mason had came in and told Jay everything that he had done. Jay felt like shit already and now he knew he was going to be killed in school. The bullying would be worse than Middle School. That's the day Jay's life took a twist upside down. He turned from a nice guy to some heartless bastard. Mason died about a year later or so. Jay had been living on his own and dated Curse. Then he broke it off with Curse and met Jev, and then planned a party with some help from Miles and other people around District 4. Jay was ready to begin. That night would be a crazy one for him and maybe for everyone else. The night was just beginning and he hoped that the party wouldn't die until late in the morning. Jay sat in a chair around the bonfire waiting for more and more people to come. The fire snapped and crackled as it brought light and heat to the spot. The party was starting and Jay was prepared for what he needed to be prepared for. Every bad thing possible that could happen, Jay had back up plans for. That night, Jay was prepared to be known as the party guy of the second Panem Olympics. Jay only had one last thought, Let the party start!
(Ok, so this party is open to anyone in District 4 and Olympians.
