Appearance:
Tawn has brown, ear-length hair. His eyes fade with a bluish-gray color which are hard to see in certain lighting, such as moonlight, due to the irises blending into the rest of his eye without much light to shine on them. He stands at 5 foot, 10 inches. He weighs about 150 lbs and tries to keep his muscles in shape in case he was ever chosen for the Games. Some would say he is very weak for the average male in District 3, but he makes up for it in brains. Tawn also struggles with acne, due to his age. He tries his hardest to cover up his acne as much as possible with any means necessary, but sometimes his pimples show.
The young District 3 resident gives off a friendly aura to those around him. His smile is very large and is often seen on his face. Almost as if he doesn't see the horror going on around him. It's tough to tell what Tawn is thinking, but if you know him even the slightest bit, his facial and body language become extremely easy to read. This is quite a negative thing for Tawn, as he doesn't like people knowing how he is feeling.
Personality:
Tawn has a very bubbly personality for someone who still has a chance to be reaped into the Games. He walks down the street with almost a hop to his step and always has a smile on his face. Though, inside, he is scared. He doesn't want to be reaped and he knows his good luck is limited. It's not something he'd ever be willing to do. He just hopes that if he was chosen one day, someone else would volunteer as Tribute.
If faced with a life or death situation, Tawn would do what he had to do. But he wouldn't do it without remorse and extreme guilt. He may even take his own life if he was in the Games. Just to spare himself from the pain of possible survivor's guilt. It's not every day a 15 year old has to kill and live with the pain. Except that's what The Hunger Games is all about to Tawn. A huge scheme to create hate, guilt, and hate.
Tawn doesn't have many friends. Just as his sister Ryin didn't. Though, he makes friends much easier than Ryin. It might be his friendly smile or aura that surrounds him, or just that he is more brave and goes out of his way more often to make the friends. In District 3 there isn't much time to focus on social life. He had to be smart, his brains has to be focused, and he couldn't spend time focusing on teenage drama.
History:
As a child, Tawn was raised with an older sister, Ryin. He looked up to Ryin and saw her as not only a sister figure, but a hero in his eyes. He wanted to be exactly like her from the beginning. He copied what she did, what she spoke like, he would even sometimes follow her and be annoying just to see how she did things. Of course, Ryin didn't mind. She enjoyed having someone to boss around in a sibling way. The two did not have any sibling rivalry in the least. They barely fought, only argued a little, and loved spending time with each other. Especially around the teenage years. Because after all, how many days did they have left with each other?
When Tawn reached the age of 12, he knew he was in danger of being selected as Tribute. It was only a matter of time before either Ryin, or himself were chosen. Of course, they could have aged out of the requirement age range with ease, but he always thought pessimistically when is came to The Hunger Games. His sister, Ryin, explained exactly how to react if his name was called. Walk up without saying anything, and stand on the stage. It wasn't the time to cry about it, or brag about it.
When Ryin was selected as Tribute for the 68th Hunger Games, Tawn was in the crowd of teenagers. He started to shake uncontrollably when her name was called. Tears ran down his face and he wanted to run. But he knew he couldn't. He had to watch her face as she walked up to the stage with fear. Ryin's eyes made contact with Tawn's, and he knew she wasn't going to come back from the Games. He knew this was the last year they'd be able to play together.
