Lulianna Roxen
How many days have gone since the peacekeepers outnumbered her? It was a complete mistake, but happiness can only be found through searching, and that's exactly what she was doing. The white walls of the cell have grown dark as the days grew longer. Each passing second felt like an entire lifetime. A heart ticked rapidly inside her chest over and over keeping the teenage girl alive. It wasn't much, but hearing the sound reminded her of the death of Mizar, and how a wave crashed down upon Lulianna drowning every emotion in the frigid water. When she closed her eyes, she could still see the blood pooling around the dead peacekeeper as the white uniform was stained red. The sound of his screams wouldn't leave her mind as he begged for mercy. Nobody in the world deserved mercy because it drove happiness further away.
Chills ran throughout her spine while she tossed around on the cold metal shelf used for a bed. The hairs stood on the end of her arms pointing in every direction possible. A punishment awaited her, yet she had no idea how long it would take for the predator to pounce on her like a piece of meat. Fear lurked inside her veins as her stomach sunk deep inside of her leaving her ribs noticeable. Lulianna was used to pain. A heart of stone shattered in thousands of pieces the moment her sister died. The mental pain was far worse than any physical pain would ever be. She felt like someone slammed a cattle iron against her many times beating down her body, and now all that was left was the images flowing freely through her mind.
A loud boom interrupted her thoughts as the cell door flew open. Men dressed in white gear with helmets stormed in the room grabbing her by the arms. Her body flew through the air slamming against the ground. Pain shot through her body as the breath escaped her lips. Gasping for air, her eyes shot around the cell. Her home for however long she was here wasn't a permanent home, and she knew it, but the thought of leaving the comfort of the cell sent shivers down her spine. Hands wrapped around her arms pulling her from the floor until her feet was underneath her, and they drug her from the room. Her arms flew out catching the wall, and she held on for as long as she could until they yanked her hands free. Her heart leaped inside her chest before taking off like a race horse. For the first time Lulianna was afraid, yet she regretted nothing she done.
All the blood rushed from her face leaving her a ghostly pale. She wanted to scream, to fight against the iron grips pulling her further away from her comfort zone, but she couldn't. Their grips were too strong, and her fragile body was too weak. Tears welled up in the corner of her eyes, and she fought hard trying to blink them away. Every muscle inside her body shook rapidly. If it wasn't for the peacekeepers dragging her along, her body would've already slammed into the tiled floor. Frantically she looked around as the cells slowly grew tinier and tinier until she couldn't see them anymore. Her breathing quickly became labored and shallow like a dog panting from the heat. The sound of the boots echoing through the halls bounced through her skull blocking out every possible idea of what might happen. Would today be the day Lulianna rejoined her sisters Mizar and Muscinda?
Only time would tell.
