Nike is and has always been an incredibly beautiful woman. She has always had red hot hair. Some say it's even more entrancing than actual fire. Sometimes, though, for special events she would enhance it's color with hair dye. Unfortunately now, as an Avox, she doesn't have that luxury. Nike also has very pale and white skin. This fits snugly over her frame, which isn't the thin of a regular Capitolite, she has slightly more fat on her bones. But she isn't fat, it gives her a fuller figure.
Nike's eyes are a piercing green, sticking out to you on her body unlike anything else. She also is a pretty tall woman, standing around 5'11". She likes this because it keeps people from taking advantage of her when she can look them straight in the eye. Nike isn't the most muscular of people, but she can perform any necessary actions. She just can't lift anything that's too heavy. Plus, she wouldn't want to break a sweat and ruin her complexion.
Personality:
Nike has a somewhat intricate personality. Everyone knows her as the sweet girl who got herself mixed up with a bad crowd. If you had met her without her little gang/group of friends, you'd think she was the perfect person. She was kind and generous, usually overtipping waiters and waitresses, helping out people who looked like they were in distress. She's incredibly funny and could make your sides almost literally split open because she's just such a free soul. She makes you want to admire her and be her best friend all at the same time. Nobody would've ever suspected she had bad habits and bad friends.
With her friends, though, she tends to make bad decisions. It started off with her just going against her gut a couple of times, like experimenting with drugs. But then it turned into an internal debate when she began to get addicted. And then she couldn't really tell what her gut was saying anymore. She seemed to lose touch with herself and couldn't find her way back. She discovered that through sex, she could get in touch with herself, or at least feel something. It soon became an obsession, much like her drinking, which she felt gave her the courage necessary to do what she thought she had to. She likes to play a game with herself where she tries to con people into buying her drinks, and refuses to pay for any herself. If she thought they were attractive enough, she would take them home.
Now that Nike is an Avox, her personality has shifted somewhat. She's incredibly sensitive and passive (mostly), now. The slightest thing can send her diving into deep thoughts of remorse and guilt and betrayal. She also has a bit of a violent side every once in a while. If something gets her really, really angry she can lash out. Since she's an Avox she has no outlet for her anger and emotions, which would typically be talking. So she has to bottle everything up and just keep it there, stewing. So when she finally explodes, she explodes. This is a very rare occurrence, though. But hoping to pull this part of her personality more for his own gain is her new owner. He hopes that if he can find a way to give her control over her rage, then she can fight in the Corps De Vers arena. Unfortunately, he entered her in the hopes that she'd discover the control in the moment.
History:
When Nike was growing up, she lived in the middle-class section of the Capitol. She had a pretty nice and happy childhood. She got most of the things she asked for, two parents, and was a pretty good student. She was adopted, raised by her two mothers, which sometimes made her feel upset or angry because her real parents gave her up. This is what caused her to end up getting mixed up in the wrong crowd, because she wanted to act out. Those people gave her an outlet.
Nike went through the typical phases of a teen in those circumstances. Getting extremely caught up in all of it. She did so many drugs and had so much sex that one night she finally realized what she was doing. And how south her life had gone. Unfortunately for Nike, though, she realized what she had become right before bedding a powerful gang leader. She had run out on him. Nike tried to clean herself up after that, trying to get herself off of drugs, refusing sex more often, trying to help out other people as much as she could. But the gang leader was not so satisfied with how she had humiliated him.
The gang leader then proceeded to come up with a plan to get her back. He had hired people to kill her, he had tried to get her mugged, he tried so many things, but his plans always fell through the cracks, just barely. Then he realized there was a punishment worse than any of the ones he was trying to bestow upon Nike. He wanted to make her an Avox. His Avox. So he got together with some of his best strategists and came up with a plan to frame Nike for a crime. Murder, to be exact. And it worked. His plan had finally worked. At least, mostly.
The part where she was to become his Avox didn't end up as planned. In the Capitol's auction, there was a rich couple who bid much higher than his gang could afford. Which turned out lucky for Nike, because the couple was sweet and in their last months of life. They treated her fairly, and didn't demand too much out of her, for they understood the trauma she was going through. Unfortunately, when she was passed down to their son, he did not have as much respect for her, or even Avox's in general. He is the one who got her entered into the Corps De Vers Avox fighting arena. And it's all because his last Avox couldn't fight. At least, not as well as he hoped Nike could.
