Rowan has always been a stud. His body is ripped, muscle tone everywhere. His six packs aren't as defined as most Capitol model's abs are, but they're visible enough to make any girl or gay guy swoon. His pectoral muscles are very defined, and they are often visible through most of his shirts. Since he most often wears t-shirts, one can easily see his muscular arms, and although he does like to wear pants a lot, one can tell that his legs are just as muscular as any other part of his body. He is also very tan, and most of that comes from his heritage, but it certainly helps that he spends all day in the sun. Which is also why he's so muscular, he works in the woods as much as he can. And from a young age, he was expected to lift things heavier than normally expected of children his age. This helped him to build muscle, or at least the foundation for it, early on in life, making it easier for him to maintain his fit form.

His face is also a very attractive part of his body. He has deep brown eyes that reflect a sense of both mystery and flirtation. His nose is relatively flat and wide, but just small and protruding enough to not make his face appear unnatural or different (in a bad way). He has long and pretty large lips that are a pale pink, and they usually stay relatively straight. He doesn't typically smile unless something is either really funny, he is really happy, or he's flirting. His face is dotted with freckles, darker than his skin, so they make you want to look closer and closer, trying to figure out their pattern, and where else on his face they may be. They're the most easily visible on his upper cheeks and across his nose. The one thing about Rowan's head that he doesn't like is his hair. He thinks it's too long and curly, and no matter what he does, he can't make it straight. He's too scared to cut it because he knows that if it's cut in just the wrong fashion it will ruin his looks. But he doesn't like how each and every morning he must find a way to push it down into at the very least a somewhat respectable fashion.

Personality:

Rowan will take advantage of any woman he possibly can (minus his sister, of course). He is known around the district as something along the lines of a player, but he's only ever been in one relationship. He really just likes to have quick sexual relations with a girl and then ditch her. He knows he's attractive and he loves using that to his advantage. He also believes (mostly subconsciously) that he is entitled. This is just as much in part that he's always been told he's handsome and he isn't poor either. Despite his parents' lack of financial support, he makes a nice living as a relatively wealthy lumberjack. So he usually is able to buy whatever he wants, if it isn't given to him.

Unfortunately, this sense of entitlement has driven him to be incredibly stubborn and spoiled. He thinks he truly does deserve whatever he wants. He doesn't usually handle not receiving what he desires very well. And thus, he has a short temper. This is often something one would never expect from him, because he for the most part is a very funny and friendly guy. He gets along with almost everyone. He's also very responsible, but when something doesn't go his way, he can often lose his temper. And he's incredibly mean when he loses his temper.

Because Rowan is most commonly found as a friendly, funny, responsible guy, he has also been pinned as somewhat of a leader among his peers. He may not be good at handling things that happen to him, but he's a great mediator. He's good at stopping fights and making both sides talk it out. He does usually use force, but his somewhat subconscious leader-complex has made people feel safe around him. And he's fiercely loyal. Once he makes a friendship, he will defend that person to the death, and he will stay their friend for all eternity. Unless they make a serious enough trespass, then he couldn't care less.

History:

Rowan never knew his father. Well, he did, but only for the first couple years of his life. Rowan's father was only there long enough to make him and his sister and then leave. Rowan absolutely detests his father for that. He just cannot understand why on Earth somebody would impregnate a woman and then leave her. He absolutely detests his father for that. And no matter how many times he asked his mother why his father left, she won't tell him. He knows that it's something serious, she's let him know that much, but Rowan has no idea why it's serious or what the event was even related to.

When Rowan was nearing his teenage years, he got a job as a lumberjack. He was working for one of his friend's fathers. It was a very small lumbering business and since the industry was so large, Rowan was paid a generous amount compared to most lumberjacks in the district. This monetary gain was incredibly helpful for Rowan, his sister, and his mother. They were in need of some financial support and this did the deed nicely. They didn't live lavishly, but they could afford most things that they desired.

Rowan was especially blessed to have this job, because despite having a mother, she was hardly present. Rowan had to basically raise his sister from a relatively young age. Because of this, he became extremely overprotective of her. He was something along the lines of a hover-parent, but her brother. He would constantly shoot down any desires she had that he could even remotely consider to be dangerous or irresponsible. Of course, his sister had/has a rebellious streak in her and loves to defy him. This drives Rowan crazy, because he can't stand when he doesn't get what he wants.

Unfortunately, when Rowan was riding on a particular high during his career as a lumberjack, the business fell apart. It was found out that the owners were selling and doing deals with wanderers, and the business was quickly shut down by Peacekeepers. The owners were carted away and never seen again, the parents and loved ones of workers tried to escape, but only a few did. Rowan's mother was one of the escaped citizens who became a wanderer. Her last request, though, was to a foster parent who takes care of large amounts of kids at a time. She demanded that the foster mom took in her two children. And now, since at the time Rowan was considered a minor, he was able considered not guilty of dealing with wanderers (also because of the fact that he wasn't guilty) and he was left with the foster mom. And there with his sister and some other minors who were part of the lumber company, they began to mix and mingle with kids who were not so happy they were there.
