Alittera has long blonde hair that sweeps down to her mid-back. It's wavy, but very slightly, so it almost looks like it's straight. Often, though, after she's finished training, Alittera's hair will curl from the sweat that's been absorbed. That's a major pet peeve of Alittera's because she hates curly hair, especially on herself. Alittera also has a very mature build, some have even mistaken her for being nineteen or twenty, but she is only seventeen. Alittera knows its because she's farther along in puberty, but she likes to also tell herself that she appears mature anyway. From the way she conducts herself to the way she looks anyways. Alittera is tall and a bit less muscular than your average Career. But the muscle she lacks in, she makes up for in her beauty.
Alittera's face is very structured. One can clearly see each and every feature within. Her cheekbones sit high upon her face and are very prominent. Her cheeks are not full, though, so it creates an elegant curve in her face that then comes back out to form her jawline. Her lips are relatively short and full as well as a pale pink. Her eyes are a bright, but deep brown and they're surrounded by thick, jet black eyelashes. Alittera's nose is very narrow and long, but it fits in nicely with her face, which is also much like that, filled out by her cheekbones and her hair. And a layer of tropical-beach-sand-colored skin is fitted over all of those features. There is something on her that she tries her very best to hide, though. It's a very large birthmark and it resides on the back of her neck and it takes up most of the back of her head. Her hair covers a large portion of it, in terms of where it grows out, but some of it still shows on her neck. In order to cover that up, she always wears her hair behind her shoulders. She wouldn't be caught dead without her hair covering her scar.
Personality:
Alittera is a person who has a very cool and calm exterior. She's incredibly in control of her emotions and can lash out at training like a rabid wolf, and she can be one of the most empathetic people you know. She learned this control from her parents. They taught her that someone who's in control of themselves is in control of others. Alittera doesn't have an obsession with power, though, she relatively relaxed when it comes to that subject. Alittera certainly will not tolerate others being mean to her, though. She hasn't had to deal with it much, though. With two parents who are highly connected in District Eleven, she's gotten basically a free pass to do whatever she wants. As long as it's within the laws of course.
Since her two parents are so strict, she became mature at a very young age. And although she loved the compliments about how well she acted and held herself, she has started to wonder about the fact on whether or not it was a good idea. She thinks that maybe if she'd let herself stay a kid longer, she'd be under less stress now. She feels like now there is so much pressure on herself to act poised and proper, because that's how she grew up acting. But every day she wonders whether or not she should've waited to grow up. Because it's not as great as she thought it would be.
Alittera is an incredibly creative person. It's something she picked up from her grandparents when she listened to their stories about the other districts. She began to image whole other worlds and would draw or paint them. She keeps a diary, journal, and a sketchbook all together in her room so that when she comes home at the end of the day, she has something to do. She also loves to just reminisce, write stories. She doesn't necessarily keep it all as a secret, but she doesn't spread the word about it. She knows that her social status has no room for frilly little drawings and dramatized accounts of the events that happened that day. That part of District Two generally gets her down, because she wants it to be a life where one can express themselves however they want, but unfortunately, it's not always the case. And her parents make sure she knows that.
History:
Alittera comes from a long line of very competitive and athletic people. Her entire family on both sides is made up of trainers. Becoming a trainer for the District Two Hunger Games training facilities is a family tradition. The family tradition doesn't go back too far, but it starts at Alittera's great-grandparents (on her mother's side), who were some of the first trainers in District Two. Obviously, training has become more popular and now there are facilities, but back then, Alittera's great-grandparents ran a sort of personal training business. It was passed onto Alittera's grandparents, and not too long after they took over the business, the training facilities were built and they joined those. And Alittera is expected to become a trainer as well. Unfortunately for Alittera and her family, she doesn't entirely have her heart set on that, but she knows that it could offer up some great opportunities.
Because of having two parents who are both trainers, she's lived under very strict rule her entire life. Stricter than most children have had to live under. Because of this, she never really had a true outlet for her inner child, she was forced to grow up very early. And although she may pride herself in her maturity, it's taken a toll on her. A perk to having a family full of trainers, though, is that she got to experience training from a very young age. She by no means was throwing knives and sword fighting at five, but she had exposure to the weapons and to using them. She used them for playing until she got closer to the age where she could be Reaped. Her family keeps telling her how lucky she is to have gotten a head-start on training, but Alittera knows that she probably didn't get much more exposure to training than any other kid in the district.
Another thing that Alittera likes about her family is that her family is very well respected and very well off. Also, because her family has been in the training business for a long time, they've met virtually every kid in the district. And now, a lot of them aren't kids and so they run their own businesses or work around the district, or just live within. Because her family has helped to make a large influence on most of the district, they are very well connected. A perk to this is that Alittera's never had to deal with being bullied, at least not very much at all. She's always been the popular girl at school, or at least nobody has ever dared to make her feel bad. Because if they do, they're scared that she's going to sick her parents on them and they'll disappear. Alittera would never do such a thing, but having overprotective parents who could cash in a favor from some dangerous people seems to make life easier for Alittera. And she loves her life. The only problem is, she's never learned how to really live it for herself, she's always had her parents there to tell her what to do and how to act.
